Text configurations with sap-config-mode

Would somebody explane to me:
I changed text with url-parameter sap-config-mode=x in FITE_VC_GENERAL_DATA view in logon language (that's not EN or DE). The result after savig this change is that the English or German text are replased with numbers. For example I change text "Reason" of Feld-ID: CUSTOMER. When using language-parameter=EN, this text is shown as number "19". So there is no possibility to run travel application in English (or German) along with local language.
I would like to know, is this standard behaviour? What's the point here? Whow must I make text-changes in application FITE_EXPENSES to be able top run it in local language as well as in English?
Regards Seppo

Hello P,
Try transaction SOTR_EDIT. Choose Short text, Language and Text, this works with asterisk before and after your keyword (try location).
With Display you'll find all packages where text location is used, first and foremost PTRM_WEB_UI.
After choosing the text in screen OTR: Change Concept choose Edit-Context-Change, pass with enter Context-popup.
You may also go straight to context-text from the component view. Transaction se80, package PTRM_WEB_UI, web dynpro component, for example FITE_VC_GENERAL_DATA, in Layout tab sheet activate the text, you aim to change, in Property-window double-click the field text $OTR:...-link, and you'll have the context-window, where you can modify the text.

  • SP 2013 Upgrade error - web application is configured with claims authentication mode however the content database you are trying to attach is intended to be used against a windows classic authentication mode.

    Hi there,
I get this error when I perform a DB Attach upgrade from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013.
"web application is configured with claims authentication mode however the content database you are trying to attach is intended to be used against a windows classic authentication mode."
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There is other way of fixing this issue apart from what Amit mentioned. Create a classic based web application in SP 2013 using PowerShell.
New-SPWebApplication -Name "TestApplication" -ApplicationPool "TestApplicationAppPool" -AuthenticationMethod "NTLM" -ApplicationPoolAccount (Get-SPManagedAccount "sppoc\spfarm") -Port 100 -URL "http://sp2013demo"
Now mount the content database from SP 2010 on to the web application created above
    Mount-SPContentDatabase WSS_Content_100 -DatabaseServer SQL2012Demo -WebApplication http://sp2013demo:100
Once the mount is complete, convert the web application to use claims and migrate the user to use claims identity.
Convert-SPWebApplication -Identity "http://sp2013demo:100" -To Claims –RetainPermissions -Force
    $w = Get-SPWebApplication "http://sp2013demo:100"
    $w.MigrateUsers($True)
See my blog post about it: http://www.sharepointnadeem.com/2014/01/upgrade-from-sharepoint-2010-classic.html

  • I can´t edit the text files with SAP BODS 3.2

    Hello
I can not edit some text files 9-20 megabytes to replace two words in each file, the source is a text file and the same destination but with different name, because with the same name have been unable . My idea is to remove the original and stay with the new performing edition but that if he does , let me file this way:
    SALES_ORDERS_FULL_20140223_150051_006.xml ( ORIGINAL )
should leave it with me so : SALES_ORDERS_FULL_20140223_150051_006.xml _OLD (AMENDED )
but strangely leaves me so :
    MICROSOFT_SQL_SERVER_KCC-BI_REPO_KHSA_XI_REPO_KHSA_XI_1543_5434_2_3_Long_INVOICES_INCREMENTAL_20140225_034004_001_xml_dat.txt  (not deseased)
The type of data you use is long since varchar not allow me because it cuts my data file , use varchar (50000000) but takes the information and short .
I am using long data type , modify the file and I pass the name of the text files of sap bods for global variables. They are a series of files that are called by a while loop
    Thanks for your answers
    regards

    HIr
Yes, first I convert long_to_varchar for edit, and convert varchar_to_long.
I edit before before and later

  • Test-spcontentdatabase error with claims authentictaion mode in sharepoint 2013

I know this has been come up before but could not find any good answer so reposting . I am following Microfoft guide for upgrading Sp 2010 to Sp2013. Existing SP2010 sites use claims based authentication. I made backup of existing content database from
SP2010 farm, copied them to SP2013 farm and restored on database server. Also  created web applications on SP2013 farm also using claims based authentication from UI in Central Administration .
    After that I used
Test-SPContentDatabase cmdlet in order to check restored SP2010 content database against SP2013 web application and i am getting error
    Category        : Configuration
    Error           : False
    UpgradeBlocking : False
Message         : The [SharePoint Primary - 443] web application is configured with claims authentication mode however the content database you are trying to attach is intended to be used against a windows classic authentication
    mode.
Remedy          : There is an inconsistency between the authentication mode of target web application and the source web application. Ensure that the authentication mode setting in upgraded web application is the
same as what you had in previous
SharePoint 2010 web application. Refer to the link "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=236865"
    for more information.
Any idea on how to resolve and why am i getting this error ?
    Thanks
    MP
    mp

Now at this point you can just attach the database to either web application and notice that it will still upgrade. If you want run the ps command:
    convert-spwebapplication -identity
    http://nameofyourwebapp -to claims -retainpermissions
    which will update the
web app and the users.  After that check the web application user policy for verification.  Make sure to add the
    spsuperreader and
spsuperuser accounts too.  I had some issues where I had to re enter the site collection owners in CA and the site collection.
If you're getting a constant pop up for credentials I would check to make sure that the sites are "trusted" in IE through group policy and set it up with a wildcard (*) to cover all sites.  Ex:
    http://*.yourdomainname.com
    Jennifer Knight (MCITP, MCPD)
Thanks Jennifer - I ran into the same situation and agree with you this must be a bug. Seeing
others having similar issue as well. Not seeing any response from Microsoft on this yet.

  • Documentum Kpro configuration for SAP DMS

    Hi Experts ,
We are planning to use Documentum Content server as the content store for SAP DMS . We want to configure the KPro configuration for this. Can somebody help with the details. We are currently using Documentum SAP archivelink (RFC ) . I know  we can also use Documentum SAP archivelink (HTTP ) . What is the difference between using Documentum SAP archivelink (HTTP) over Kpro configuration.
    Please guide me
    Thanks
    Regi

Thank You Seema and Nitin for your answer.
As I mentioned earlier I am aware of the configuration of the Content Store and othet Data Carrier .
I am also familiar with the regular Documentum SAP archive link (RFC/HTTP).
The new dimension we are bringing to our architecture is adding SAP DMS for SAP PLM and using Documentum as the content store.
We want to use KPRO as the integration configuration for the specific reason of more than 2 originals.
My question to all the gurus out there is did any one use Documentum KPRO configuration with SAP DMS and if so how does that work with ECL viewer .If you are using Archivelink , you need to use Documemntum Viewer to see documents from SAP.
Also any difference in viewing document from a Portal interface
    Thanks
    Regi

To configure the TACACS+ role and domain settings on Cisco Secure ACS,  perform the following steps:
Step 1 Go to the Interface Configuration section of the  Cisco Secure ACS HTML interface and access the TACACS+ (Cisco IOS) page.  Perform the following actions:
    a. Under the TACACS+ Services  section of the page, the User column or the Group column depending on  your configuration, check the Shell (exec) check  box.
    b. Under the Advanced Configuration  Options section of the page, check the Display a  window for each service selected in which you can enter customized  TACACS+ attributes check box.
    c. Click Submit.
Step 2 Go to the Advanced Options page of the Interface  Configuration section of the Cisco Secure ACS HTML interface. Perform  the following actions:
    a. Check the Per-user  TACACS+/RADIUS Attributes check box.
    b. Click Submit.
Step 3 Go to the User Setup section of the Cisco Secure  ACS HTML interface and double-click the name of an existing user that  you want to define a user profile attribute for virtualization. The User  Setup page appears.
Step 4 Under the TACACS+ Settings section of the page,  configure the following settings:
•Check the Shell (exec) check box.
•Check the Custom  attributes check box.
•In the text box under the Custom  attributes, enter the user role and associated domain for a specific  context in the following format:
    shell:= ...
For example, to assign the selected user to the C1 context with the role  ROLE1 and the domain DOMAIN1, enter shell:C1=ROLE1  DOMAIN1.
You can also substitute an asterisk (*) for the equals sign (=) as  follows:
    shell:* ...
Use the above shell string if you are also using Cisco IOS command  authorization.
Step 5 Under the Checking This option Will PERMIT all  UNKNOWN Services section of the page, check the Default  (Undefined) Services check box to permit unknown services.
Step 6 Click Submit when you finish  configuring the TACACS+ role and domain settings.
For example, if USER1 is assigned the role ADMIN and the domain  MYDOMAIN1 (where shell:Admin=ADMIN MYDOMAIN1), then one of the following  can occur:
•If USER1 logs in through the Admin  context, that user is automatically assigned the Admin role and the  MyDomain1 domain.
•If USER1 logs in through a different  context, that user is automatically assigned the default role  (Network-Monitor) and the default domain (default-domain). In this case,  the user profile attribute is not obtained from the TACACS+ server  during authentication.
    Gilles.
