Text default not working - holds to a tinted text

Mac OS 10.3.09 InDesign 2.0. - Working in a document that will not default to the standard Myriad 12pt black but defaults to a tinted 15pt of a colour I used to make some earlier Character Styles. How do I restore the normal defaults.

With nothing selected, set your font, size, color, etc.

Bridge CC file association default not working

Greetings.
I've recently upgraded to CC from CS6. Uninstalled and removed CS6 files properly (why have them on C:/ taking up space?).
Ps, Ai, Id, all working properly (thank my lucky stars...), which are the three apps I use daily,... and Br, however, Bridge CC is acting up it seems. Screenshots for your pictorial review.
Double-clicking on a JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF image file within Bridge CC will result in,
Right-clicking, selecting to "Open With", and selecting "Window Photo Viewer 6.1 (default)" will produce the same result.
With Ps, Ai, and Id, double-clicking a '.psd', '.ai', and '.indd' will open in their respective app. However, when selecting to "Open With", and selecting either 'Photoshop' or 'Illustrator' will result in an errors (even tho' each app shows as default):
I've checked the default settings for the respective file types involved, in Bridge CC preferences,
—PNG, GIF, and TIF files are also associated to 'Windows Photo Viewer 6.1' as show below for JPG—.
and Windows 7,
It would appear that the file types are properly associated yet Bridge CC does not read/apply these settings.
It proved useless to uninstalled/re-installed Bridge CC. Windows Photo Viewer works perfectly fine as default in Windows 7 browser.
I've read that a solution could be to uninstall all CC apps, run some kind of cleaning process and re-install apps. I find solutions rather odd; plus, it takes h-o-u-r-s to download/install each app.
I'm stumped, not to mention quite annoyed. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your reply Curt Y, but I didn't foul anything; I followed standard procedures which I have umpteen times—prompts from the install/uninstall app which usually take place all on their own.
I read post 20, to which you referred me, however, after reading it, it appears that you may have misunderstood my situation; I'll try again, for everyone's benefit as well.
In Bridge CC:
Ps files (.psd) defaults to Ps CC when double-clicked and open in the app—no problem.
Id and Ai files also open to their respective default app—no problem either.
HOWEVER, and most interestingly, if I should "Open With" and select either 'Photoshop' or 'Illustrator", to open a '.psd' or'.ai' file respectively, I would get the errors,
While this is an issue I can work around it is not my main concern. My MAIN problem is opening JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, and TIF files (thus far) in the Windows Photo Viewer (WPV), whose operation apparently is associated to the 'PhotoViewer.dll' file inside the Windows Photo Viewer folder.
Outside of Bridge CC the WPV works perfectly.
It is entirely absurd that one should have to launch an app (Ps, for example) every time one wants to simply view an image in a larger scale/window, such as in WPV.
It is also possible that one would want to open any of the file types listed above in Ps, for example, but as of now the "Open With" as I've described is not working properly—this I could live with.
In the end, having made the changes to the Ps string as described in "post 20", nothing has changed from my initial post.
And where would one make the appropriate string corrections for Ai?
I STILL cannot open JPG,PNG,TIF, GIF, and BMP files in Windows Photo Viewer from Bridge CC.

Photoshop 2014.2.2 New feature: "Assets are now clipped to document bounds by default" not working....

Just updated to the newest version of Photoshop because I saw that they updated "Extract Assets" to have the assets clipped to document bounds by default. I was assuming that all assets will be the size of your canvas. Is this an incorrect assumption? If that is what it means, I am not getting it to work. What am I doing wrong?

So what am I doing wrong? My assets (png's) are still being cropped to the image, not the canvas. In fact, when I bring up the new "Extract Assets" window, the dimensions for each layer are what it would be as if it was cropped to the image on that layer instead of the canvas size.

Linksys E2100 - reset to factory defaults not working

Hi, I just acquired a used E2100 from an auction, when I plug it in I see an "Unnamed Network" with full bars in wireless, but can't connect since I don't know the ssid/password
When connecting with cable, with ipconfig I get a 10.10.10.108 ip, the gateway is at 10.10.10.99. Yet I also cannot access it.
I have tried the reset button at the bottom, holding it for over a minute, pressing it quickly, holding it for 30 seconds, holding it and unplugging+replugging the router, but nothing is helping.
I have also tried the CD that comes with it with cable and with wifi only, but it does not find the router. I have deleted my default wireless network settings, had my wifi on, was not connected to any networks, yet the CD could not find the router.
When router is on, the WIFI led blinks around once a second, while the LAN led blinks randomly like it should.
I was wondering if there is anything else I can do?

How about you try these troubleshooting steps:
Reboot the router (for 30seconds)
Wait for the power light to blink TWICE
Reboot the router again (for 30 seconds)
Wait for 2-5mins for the power light to get solid
Check then if you can ping the router ; try to configure it

Record entry date - using system date as default not working

Hi,
I have a form which allow users to enter the information... I want to have a field to save the date when they've updated the record...
in order to accomplish the above, here is what I did:
1) I created an item on the form (put the source as table_column that I am using to save the record entry date on the table)...
2) In the Default field I put "sysdate" to capture the current date...
3) I made the item "Display only" so that no one should be able to change it...
so far so good... when my users open the form they see current date populated in the form...
my challenge is that when user saves the form, everything that they enter saves except for the "record modification date"... Not sure if it's due to date format or something else causing it, the date format on my form is DD-MON-YY and seems like the format on my table is DD/MM/YYYY... if it's the date formatting issue then please advice how to fix it...

Hi,
Default value only used when item value is null. So when you fetch the from it gets the value from database column and omit the default value. I use trigger to store audit information i.e. create date, username etc.
Here is an example if you want to use -
The following trigger will capture the date and username and store into the table.

Camera Default not working

I have Aperture 3 and set up a Camera Default in the Raw settings. The problem is that Aperture picks the Apple settings everytime I import and NOT my Camera Default settings. What can I do to fix this?

Has this been fixed yet? Every time I import images, the Apple setting is applied and not the Camera Default that I have set up! I also, can not lift and stamp the fix onto the other images. I have to do them one at the time.
I have the latest updates from Apple. HELP!

Interactive Report "Save As Default" not working for me on Hosted APEX

Created an app on Oracle's Hosted APEX site (apex.oracle.com) with an interactive report. Changed the column settings in the interactive report and went to "Save Report" and the "Save As" select list isn't displayed to allow me to "Save as Default". It's as if APEX isn't recognizing me as a Developer even though I'm logged in as my Admin Account. I even have a "developer" account that I created and the same problem happens there as well. Has anyone experienced this problem on apex.oracle.com? Thanks.

Will - The developer toolbar must be enabled in order for you to see those options, I believe.

Messages not working between devices

Previous to 5 months ago, I had never had any problems with my iMessages working between my iPhone 5s, Macbook Pro, and iPad Mini. Now, no matter war I do I can not get my messages to work with my iPad or Macbook anymore. On the Macbook Messages app it says that my contacts are not registered with iMessage which is just not true. At one point a few months ago it randomly started working and I got all my previous messages on my Mac but after that it went back to the same problem.
Please help!! I am very frustrated with this.

Boot into Safe Mode and try your iMessages account there.
Either if it works or does not work reboot the computer for normal Start.
If it did not work hold down the ALT+CMD+P+R buttons until you here three Start up "Bongs" in total. (PRAM/NVRAM reset)
If that does not appear to work check the way your Contacts App is syncing to all the other devices
Make sure in Preferences > Accounts only one method is being used to Sync them.
After that double check all the setting on the Mac and the Phone in particular.
Forget what you think is set and actually check them off.
On the Mac in the iMessages account is the iPhone Number actually active for "Receive At" ?
On the iPhone despite the fact it should be un-alterable is the iPhone Number active (I have had this one - the Apple ID was still active but the iPhone was not getting iMessages sent to the Number - but was displaying the sync to the Apple ID)
The same applies also for the Apple ID itself.

Ambient light senor/auto brighness on iPad 3 not working

I updated my iPad 3 to iOS version 6.1.3 yesterday. At first I noticed that the brightness control would move on its own. Today, I noticed that the auto brightness has no affect on the screen lighting.
Has anyone seen this before, or have any suggestions?
I did a couple of resets and still not working (hold power off and home button for 10 seconds) until unit shuts down.

NSUserDefaults not working

I am binding check box value with shared user defaults controller. I am registering defaults in +initialize method as well.
but user defaults not working. it doesn't saves the status of check box.
There is no plist file created at path /Library/Preferences for my application.
so, what might be the problem ?

How to get rid of text in bookmark toolbar? the default reset will not work

my bookmark toolbar has changed. I clicked on default reset so just icons show but it will not work. can not get rid of text.

The Bookmarks Toolbar, by default, shows both icons and text. Here is an Add-on that will allow you to show only the icons.

Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ missing intellisense entry. Intellisense not working. Solutions to turn options for the editor off and on are not working. The intellisense entry is present for other languages,
such as C#, but not C/C++.
By not working, I mean the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out, and intellisense files are not produced.

Based on your issue, could you please share me a screen shot about the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out?
Generally, I know that it is default that we can enable the intellisense for C/C++ by going to the TOOLS->Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ ->Advanced-> IntelliSense like the following screen shot.
So please try to check if you set Disable Intellisense property as False in the VS IDE.

InfoPath 2013 - Rich Text box - Expand to show all text option not working

I have create an InfoPath form and created a view which will be used for printing. I have a rich text box in this print view and the scroll option for this rich text box is set to "Expand to show all text". However, it is not working and it doesn't
expand the size of the text box based on the content length.
same thing used to work in InfoPath 2010.
Any suggestions?

Hi Wendy,
Here are the steps I have used:
1. On default view added a rich text box.
2. Created another view called Print and mapped it to the same Field which I added to default view
3. Set the Wrap text and Expand to show all text on both the Rich Text Box Properties - in default view and in Print
view. Also set the height of the rich text box to auto.
4. Set the print views as the print view for default view
5. Deployed the form to SharePoint Form Library
6. Opened the form in browser
7. Entered the content in the rich text box in default view. It expands well if I have much content
8. Clicked on Print preview and that opens up the print preview and it shows the rich text box only one line in height and with scroll bar
I missed to mention that it is a web browser enabled form and I am using InfoPath 2013 and SP 2013.
It does work fine in InfoPath client.

Hello,
Did you check the fulltext log files for more details about the errors. If the filter isn’t working, there should be errors in the error log file.
