Text Doubled Up

Hi all,
I have a MBP SR...I just noticed the drop shadow on all text, in all apps, including the finder looks messed up. It is like I am seeing a double of all text or a ghost reflection, only slightly faded and like an up shadow visible above the text...Any help?
I am running all current and have had no other video probs...It is really weird...

My mistake – The view you showed is actually the Import window, which does not have adjustable side panels like all the other modules.
The type of problem you were seeing is usually related to a graphics driver issue, or a hardware problem. But putting your system into 'Sleep' mode for an extended period of time with applications like Lightroom open can cause this to happen as well. I always suggest shutting down all applications and your OS and depowering your system every night. It's takes a little longer in the morning to boot up, but then your memory resources are cleared and freed up and your applications open in a "clean" state. At the very least you should perform a full shutdown every Friday, or whenever you will be away from the system for an extended period of time.
I'm a Windows user, but now that all Mac systems use Intel processors there are very few differences hardware wise.

Dragging/highlight text double tap lag/delay?

Hi I am dual booting MBA.
Under the bootcamp 3.1 (now on 3.2) mouse control panel, i have allowed "dragging" to simulate mouse movements as per PC laptop.
This feature is usefull as it allows me to double tap and the re-position a screen, or double tap and select a area of text.
However I find that after i double tap, there is a lag/delay between the tap and being able to select the text/reposition the screen.
Is there anyway to fix this issue? I was on 3.1 and now upgraded to 3.2 and issue is present in both versions.

Captivate 7 Widget Copy/Pasting Text Creates Double Text

I'm using Captivate 7 on a Mac OS X.9 machine and every time we use a Insert>Interaction and have to paste text from either a Word doc or plain text document the text double pastes into the Interaction Widget. This causes issues because its difficult to edit text in the small widget area. Also, once pasted the Widget removes all the paragraph spacing.

We understand not to copy text from Word which is why we copy it from Word, paste it into a plain text document to remove all formatting, then paste it into the Interaction. It still pastes in double. This has happened in the following types and it is only a MAC issue. We can replicate it on two Macs in the office but not on any Windows machines.
We do use Full Screen but its still small and I have a very large screen.
Accordian, Tabs, Process Circle, Timeline, Circle Matrix, Pyramid (both), Glossary. These are the ones we have used/tested.

How to use different font styles in the same boolean text?

As reported here http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6BD344ACA4DEE20A8625692700737E16, it is possible to change font color, size or other font properties of a subtext in a string indicator. This can be applied to a caption too.
I'd like to apply this properties to a boolean text but it does not work. The boolean control has the Text.selectionStart and End property node but it does not appear to function.
Can you help me?

This is a bug in the development environment (I think it showed up around LV8).
There's a workaround, but it seems to work intermittently: Place some floating text on your front panel, then edit it's font styles. Select and copy the floating text. Select the boolean text (double click on it). Paste.

All long text is stored in STXH and STXL.
Object is MATERIAL.
Text-Id for basic data text is GRUN
Text-Id for purchase order text is BEST
For sales order text it is text object MVKE with text-id 0001
Go to SE37 function builder. Enter READ_TEXT and do a single test ( F8 )
Enter your parameters and execute. Example below.
NAME is a comibation of materialnumber (00000000008000000)WITH leading zeros
if numeric and sales org (1000) plus distribution channel (10)
Import parameters - Value
CLIENT - 010
ID - 0001
LANGUAGE - E
NAME - 000000000008000000100010
OBJECT - MVKE
ARCHIVE_HANDLE - 0
LOCAL_CAT
Just for future reference with regards to getting text id's etc.
eg: PO texts.
--> Go into the material master PO text
--> Double click into the required text.
--> Click the "GO TO" menu option.
--> click Header.
and all the info you need is there.

Customer master data change -XD02 Disable all filelds except text screen.

Have any idea please forward immediately.
In cusomer master data change XD02 all filelds should not be changed by specified users and the user should be able to update the text screen where as am giving the path below
XD02>company code data>Extras>Texts>Double click on accounting text screen. then it directs to text screen.
here user can update the information.
Since the Master data fileds can be change by the diffrent team like the details of address.... and the other users team from same dept. should not able to change address...and all other fileds in XD02 except the text screen.
Is it possible to develop in xd02 . if it is please explore what are the ways...

select the required fields and check the radio button "display"
if you suppress you cannot find the fields at all

To print standard text on smartform for a given item in purchase order, I need to find the text ID and object associated with it.
There are various texts like item text, Info record PO text, Material PO Text, Delievry Text, etc...
Now when I go to ME22N, and select item detail for any item -> Texts , how do I get text ID, and object associated with it ?

ok goto the long text, double click it, or use the small pencil, so that you proceed to the text editor.
Once you are there, use the menu: goto->head
a small popup will come up, stating the information you need.
what you need is OBJECT, ID, Language and NAME.
with those information you can feed the FM READ_TEXT.
and woooohooo there you go

Problem with Pages text flow

In a 'Pages' long document the text flow is not consistent despite the settings in the Inspector being identical. On some facing pages the last line does not justify, on others the text refuses to fill large gaps that seem to occur at random.

No Gremlins, just your settings.
Prevent widow and orphans will haul lines over onto subsequent pages leaving gaps where necessary. If you don't want that then uncheck it. You understand what those terms mean?
Language applies to selected text just like bolding, fonts, color etc. If you are copying and pasting material from elsewhere such as the Internet they will have their own langauge or none. The default language is whatever you have set it in System Preferences.
Paragraph Styles will stay what they were in the document or what they were when you pasted them into the document. Use Paste and Match Style if you want it to conform to the style of where you are pasting it.
It is possible for a paragraph of text to have mixed styles due to author's changes. To force apply a style to text, double click it in the Styles Drawer.

Edit Text In A MovieClip

I have made 4 movie clips/instances of text for my buttons. I
am having trouble finding how I can change the word/text. I can go
from Scene > Movie Clip> Text but then Im at a loss for
editing the actual word.
Also can I change the color of the text while I am there?

I have two different movie clips:
On one Im successful at changing the text:
Double Click on the MovieClip from the Library, I double
click on this and Im taken to a tween image with the Text
Properties box opened down below. Color, size, etc., no problems.
On a different MovieClip I follow the same steps. The only
difference is when I double click on the MovieClip I never see the
same tween/graphic symbol. And the Text properties box doesnt open.
If I double click again on the blue box it goes to another layer
HOWEVER the selection tool turns on and I can only grab/modify/bend
the text...does that make sense?

How do I transfer text from an e-mail into Pages on iPad?

I am trying to write a book. I have been doing it on Mail and sending an e-mail to my wife. Today I downloaded Pages so I can make my text double spaced, biger type, bold, and so on. We can't get it from the e-mail into a Pages document.
How do I do that?

Simply hold down and select all of the text, then click Copy, and Paste it into a Pages Document.

How to handle both single click and double click from mouse

hey,
I looked in past threads and didn't get a proper answer for capturing both single and double click from the mouse.
in most applications the single click action does not interfere with the double click action, for example in a text editor, single click sets the cursor in between the text, double click marks a word, triple click marks a sentence, they do not bother each other, they all can happen first the single then the double and then the triple, but what if i have a very distinct action for each of the actions, the e.getClickCount() returns every time the number of clicks and if i use

    doDoubleClick();it will always do first the single click and then the double click, which works fine with the example i gave, but not with what i want to do, so i was thinking to over come this that i will use another thread to run my tasks if dt has past since the last click and by the last click counts to perform the correct action and go to sleep until the next mouse click notify it, what do you think?

Header text printing in PR.

I have a requirement to print header text of PR. Please let us know to do this. We have developed a Y tcode to print PR in the required format. in which table this text is stored Please suggest.

header text is stored in table STXH and STXL among all other long text.
goto your requisition, go into header text, double click the text to open it with text editor, then choose from menu goto > header to get the necessary info that you need to use to access and find the right text in STXH and STXL
you have to use function module READ_TEXT to get the text from there.

Which table stores header and item text of delivery? We use VBBP text object and provide test id, language to read the texts using function module 'READ_TEXT'.
Can you please tell me which table store the texts?

This stores in text objects so you need to pass
Here is simple thing to find what to pass to the read_text function module.
Go to delivery - If you want to find header text - GOTO (on application menu) - Header -texts - Double click on the text where you enter text - GOTO (on application menu) - Header - This will give you a popup kind of screen where you can find the
text name (if it is header - only delivery number and if it is item - deliverynumber + item number ) , lang, Text id, Text object
This will give you the required parameters... .
