Text elements creation in user exit

Hi All,
I have written code in user exit MV45AFZZ(include program ) ,now i need to create text elements.
The above include is in standard program SAPMV45A,which will ask access key for creating text elements.
Can any one give me some inputs,like,can i go ahead using accesskey or any alternative procedure exists for enhancing text elements without accesskey?

Create one message class or use any created message class(custom). In that write ur text elements and use that in include.
In same program and same include which u r telling, we created one message class called Z_SDRQC and using text elements from this message class in this include. check below sample code for that.

    BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.
    Note that this BADI has a number of methods with parameters defined as "Importing" which makes it look like you cannot change data, but some of these parameters are "TYPE REF TO" objects which themselves have methods such as GET_DATA and SET_DATA that actually allow you to access and change the fields.
    Search for previous posts including "ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST" - there is sample code in some of them.
    In transaction SE19, if you display the BADI then select menu option goto>sample code>display, you will be able to drill down on the PROCESS_ITEM method to some SAP supplied sample code.
    This includes the definitions and method calls to get the item data:
    DATA: ls_mepoitem TYPE mepoitem.
    ls_mepoitem = im_item->get_data( ).
    You then just change relevant fields in structure ls_mepoitem and call the set_data method to pass the data back
    call method im_item->set_data exporting im_data = ls_mepoitem.
    Take care with what you change - SAP does not validate that you have passed back correct / consistant data.
    Not sure if the text field you want will be available - you may need to look at further methods of the BADI or of the parameter objects.  If you drill down on the objects that the method parameters are defined as TYPE REF TO you will see the methods that are available - the GET_DATA and SET_DATA ones I have mentioned above are only a small part of the options.  If there are none dealing with texts at the Header / Line, then you may need to put your code in at the latest method available (once the PO number is allocated) and call the SAVE_TEXT function module to do your update - not 100% way of doing it because standard code may save in update event and have rollback handling.
    To use the BADI you will need to create an implementation of it - there is a menu option in SE18 to do this, or you can use SE19.

  • Transfer order creation Any User-Exit for item ?

    Hi all,
    I’m working with transfer order. What I’d like is to apply to the TO item my own fields.
    Is there a possibility to overwrite some of the fields of the ‘LTAP’ segment at transfer order item creation, using any enhancement (User-exit, …) ?
    Transaction used to create TO is LT43.
    I’ve try to use MWMTO001( but it doesn’t work, only for specific data (z table)).
    I’ve also try MWMTO008 ( doesn’t work for that )
    Fields I want to overwrite are VLTYP(Source storage type), VLPLA(Source Storage Bin), VPTYP, VLQNR.
    Hope someone can help me…Please ?

    give MWMTO004(EXIT_SAPLL03A_005) a try. It's a different event/time in document creation, but looks good comparing your fields you want to change.
    It's of course not only 'overwriting' VLTYP, VLPLA, ... but implementation of own / additional removal strategy. Might be more complicated, but sounds better for whole process.

  • Line item creation through user exit

    Hi
       I am creating a line item for a sales order when saving the sales order in transaction VA01 and VA02, using the userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE. I am able to append the line item to the internal table XVBAP through my code in the user exit.
    But after appending to the internal table the line item is not getting created.I am not getting any error message also.
    Can anyone help me out in this regard.What could be the reason for this.

    It is not a straight forward thing. Adding data to table XVBAP won't work. It will create inconsistency. There are so many other tables involve here too, like, VBPA, VBUP, VBKD, KONV. There can be other tables too based on how your sales order is configured.
    Also, modifying these tables (XTAB, YTAB ) in this user-exit may cause database inconsistency.

    I have a requirement of sending same location data from different logical ERP System to the SAP SCM System using CIF(Core Interfaces).
    I need to add suffix in the master data for Location to the inbound processing of Location data in the SAP SCM system to differentiate between the two systems.
    I have got an information to use EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_LOC_001 BADI enhancement point for the same.
    Can anyone please help me out with the code snippets.

  • To find out user exit/ badi for the VT01n transaction triggered in Save

    Hi Friends,
              I have the following requirement and for this appropriate user exit/ badi should be needed which will trigger during saving of the shipment.
    Cass shipment type (VTTK-ADD03) field needs to be required and should be automatically populated upon creation of the shipment document.  The rules for populating the value (SO, ST, PO and RA) are as follows:
    If any of the orders on the shipment are customer order types, then the CASS shipment type should be a SO,
    If all of the orders are STO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "ST",
    If all of the orders are PO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "PO" , and
    If all of the orders are customer return orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "RA".
    I have tried with the 3 badi available and 7 to 8 user exit, but it won't work.

  • How to get material long text at user exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001

    Dear All,
    I need to pass some material details from SAP to legacy system once user create / edit a material. I have no problems with fields like material no, type, group etc except the long text, I can't find the long text field from the user exit (EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001).
    When I use READ_TEXT function, also can't retrieve the long text because it haven't save to STXH/STXL table yet, I guess.

  • Changing text element description in Workbook

    Hi
    We are creating Workbooks, with text elements "Last Refreshed" and "Status of Data"  displayed in the report.
    Is there a way to change description of these default text elements?
    The user wants it changed to "Load Date" and "Run Date" respectively. I'm not sure if it's possible to change the standard text elements.

    Hi Guys,
    I have two custom fields in my CATS time sheet called Zclock1 and Zclock2. For a record that already exists I need to pre-populate these fields when I open the time sheet for an employee using CAT2, Which user-exit should I use?
    I tried CAT0002 but this one will trigger only at the time of creating a new record or modifying an existing record.

    i want to change the data when i use CAT7 to transfer data to CO, before CO document created i must delete some dummy WBS element in a certain user-exit, so i need to find  this user-exit to process the data,
    i've checked the enhancement CATS0002, but it isn't what i want,
    i've found one user exit  PCA00001--EXIT_SAPLPC02_001(EC-PCA: Changes to Document when Transferring CO Actual Data)
    i do delete dummy wbs element in this user exit but when transferring is finished, i find that the dummy wbs element still appears in the co document. it looks like that user exit doesn't work.
    i don't know why,

  • MM User Exit : MB_CF001

    Can anyone please tell me when do this user exit break.

    The enhancement MB_CF001 includes a function module that is called up immediately before the COMMIT WORK when a goods movement is posted.                                                                               
    All the material document data is passed on to this function module from the following tables:                                                   
    o  MKPF     (Material document header)                                  
    o  MSEG     (Material document items)                                   
    o  VM07M    (Update data)                                                                               
    This data can be passed on to other programs.                                                                               
    Note                                                                               
    The enhancement does not write any data to the material document, that is, it is not possible to change material document data before the update posting takes place.                                                                               
    If the enhancement MB_CF001 (component: Function module EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001with Include ZXMBCU01) is implemented incorrectly, an inconsistency may occur between documents and stocks as well as between material documents  and accounting documents. Such inconsistencies can be caused by the following elements in the user exit, for example:                        
    o  COMMIT WORK                                                           
    o  Remote function call (CALL FUNCTION .. DESTINATION)                   
    o  Separate updates on the document or stock tables (for example, an     
        update on table MBEW, MARD, MSEG)                                     
    o  Unlocking data (for example, through DEQUEUE_ALL)                                                                               
    The enhancement MB_CF001 is called in the update function module  MB_POST_DOCUMENT. If a COMMIT WORK or a Remote Function Call is set in the enhancement, a complete ROLL BACK is not possible in the case of an update termination, since data has already been written until the COMMIT 
    or the remote function call in the database. Consequently, an asynchronous status (for example, a material document without accounting document), which can only be repaired with considerable effort, may be the result.                                                                               
    The enhancement MB_CF001 is not suited for customer-specific updates on the stock tables, because such updates can destroy the standard inventory update if they are not programmed incrementally (see Note 6899), or if  they do not take the material blocks into account.          
    Unlocking data (for example, using DEQUEUE_ALL) is also very important, as the data to be updated is no longer protected against external updates, and inconsistencies can result from parallel updates.                                                                               
    Before you activate an enhancement, check thoroughly that the user exit does not contain high priority source code positions.                                                                               
    If data inconsistencies have already occurred in your system, inconsistencies that can be traced back to the user exits, remove the high priority source code positions immediately before they cause further
    inconsistencies.

  • User exit in MV45AFZB include

    Hi experts,
    I got a requirement like this .
    To develop user exit to check if the sales order item is within warranty or not,
    And then display a message for user action.
    Background information and requirement:
    When a lift is installed, the Warranty Period is stored in the material master characteristic. If there is a replacement, then the SAP Notification will trigger a Sales Order where the user will create the sale item. During this item creation, a user exit is required to check whether this new replacement should be covered by an existing sales order item warranty (i.e whether the same part has been replaced before and within the warranty period), and the search is by the sales code (ie. The sale order item eg.DEIN material), equipment number ( as represented by the Equipment number in the technical object section in the Sales order header) and subcode (as defined in the characteristic of the item) combination. If an existing item is found and the warranty is still valid (ie.Today -  Sales Order items’s Service Rendered Date(that is manually entered by user)< Warranty Period), Then the system should display a message indicating that the sales order item should be crated in service order instead. Otherwise, prompt a message indicating that the user can continue to create the sales order item.
    Basic Logic:
    User Exit 1:
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO _VBKD
    1. Develop this user exit to get the Equipment Number from the Notification. The Notification number is retrieved from the Sales Order document flow.
    2. Assign the Equipment number to the Sales Order Item’s Technical Information Equipment number field.
    User Exit 2: USEREXIT_CHECK_ABAP
    After user enters Sales Order Item, It triggers the user exit USEREXIT_CHECK_ABAP that the performs the following actions.
    1. Get the current characteristic, Subcode, value, possibly using USEREXIT_GET_FIELD_FROM _SDCOM.
    2. Using the same material number, retrieve the characteristic Warranty Period in the material master classification.
    3. Using current sales order item material number and Equipment Number, get all sales order tiem in VBAP and VERIS02 where VBAP-MATNR = material number (which will retrieve the historical sales with same sales code) and EQUINO = Equipment Number.
    4. Sort list found by Sales order item’s Service Rendered Date in descending order.
    5. Repeat through this list of items until same Sub code is found.
    · Get item characteristic Subcode.
    · If Subcode = current Subcode and Today <(Service Rendered Date + Warranty Period)
    o “part is within warranty. Sales order: NNNNNN. Please create this item in Service Order as non-chargeable.
    I got these USEREXITS in MV45AFZB and MV45AFZZ includes.
    Can any one tell me what is the purpose of USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBKD in MV45AFZB include
    and USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP in MV45AFZZ include? . 
    If i write code in above includes is it work out? OR is there any other way to achieve above requirement?
    Can any one tell me Step by step process to achieve this.
    Iam new to USEREXITs.

    1. You have to get a key from SAP to modify the two includes in which the user exits are present.
    2. You have to enter statement 'INCLUDE z**. ' in both user exits in the MV45* includes. Then save and activate the MV45** includes.
    3. You have to figure out the code that carries out the functionality described in your specifications.
    3. Write the code in includes Z** .
    4. Now the code written by you will be executed when you run the relevant SD transaction

  • Is it good practice to define text elements in User exits & there by using?

    Hi Experts,
    Simple doubt that, am wrting code in a User Exit. So, here my code works only, if the DOC TYPE = 'XXX'.
    So, instead of using hard coding as 'XXX', I wuld like to use a text element, like
    if DOC TYPE = text-xxx.
    my logic.
    endif.
    and creating the same text element.
    so, let me know that,
    Is it safe/recommended to use text-element in exits?
    Is it good practice to define text elements in User exits?

    u can also use SET ID's if u dont want to hardcode like that in ur program.
    if u use SET ids , no need of transport request in case of change in the DOC types , directly u can change values in that set it , its like a master id.
    sytax will be like this
    doc_type in g_doc_type(this is set id ).
    for creation of set ids see tcode GS01.

  • Problem in transporting the text elements for user exit EXIT_SAPLV09A_002

    Hi  All,
    I am facing a problem in transporting the text element (text symbol) for the exit EXIT_SAPLV09A_002. It is implemented and transported but the text elements are not transported and even if I try to delete them and then create them again, on activation it doesn't prompts for TO and it version its shows it as local object. I have tried to manually assign the TO by using limu as id of program and rept as type and SAPLXV09 as the name of the object but still it doesn't allows as an error message comes prompting local object cannot be assigned to TO. Kindly suggest solution this problem.

    Hello ,
               In the Quality after you run the report check in the layout option>display text elements> variables and check what value is displayed for the use exit variable , if it is correct then problem may be in the selection you gave when you run the report if the user exit variable value is wrong , then set a break point in the code and run the report from rsrt and check where the error is.
