Text Elements not appearing

Hi All,
I created a report and maintained the text elements in English and De languages. For some fields, I maintained the text elements only in English language. So when I login in DE language, the text elements which I had maintained in english language are not appearing. Those fields are blank in the selection screen. Does it needs to be maintained in DE lang? Please assist.

Yes u need to maintain in DE language also.
If u wnat the same text i.e english text in DE also then use maenu as GOTO.........>TEXT ELEMENTS---->SELECTION TEXT
Now GOTO-------> TRANSALTION giva langauge as DE
and transalte one by one all athe Text element and activate.
YOu can see all the fields in DE login.'

Text element not gettin refreshed in smart form

Hi
Text element does not get refreshed in the smart form preview.
I have a selection screen on which i have a few selection parameters and three application
toolbar buttons. "Save" , "Preview" and "Print". At the end of selection screen I have a
button "text" which when clicked takes me to the text element editor(FM 'TEXT_EDIT' )
I have to enter a project number on the selection screen, enter all other details and
then click on the "Text" button. I would then change /edit some text etc and come back
to sel screen. Now i click on preview , the smart form shows up and the text gets dispalyed
with the modified text.
I am passing the text name by appending "sometext" + project number to the TEXT_EDIT
and while eiditing and as a parameter to the smart form. In the smart form i have given the variable in the "include text".
Now Herez the problem.
I am still in selection screen and clik on the "text" button and it takes me to the
text editor. Now i add more lines, save and come back. Now i clik on preview
button and it displays the old text data.
When i come out of the transaction and renter , clik on the preview it displays data
correctly. Now if i repeat the steps
1.edit text button , add a few lines
2.preview button, shows data as entered in step 1.
3.edit text button, add few more lines
4.preview button .. the text displays is from step 1 and not 3.
I am not sure if this is lot of info for anybody to write an answer straight away but
if u need more info i can provide. I can do a read_text in the smart form but its toooooo
much of a pain for the data i need to display. million adjustments to be taken care of.
What could be the problem ? I have given all the basic settings like save parameter
in edit_text fm , checked all the print preview options in sdn.
Here are my questions
1. Why is the text element not getting refreshed.
2. After a form is displayed for preview , will it store anywhere in the buffer ? if yes
is there any method to clear it ?

Hi,
The problem is not with text elements, it might be your size of window which you are using to display the text elements. Check your window size and modify that accordingly.

Delayed text captions not appearing (except in Preview "Play this slide")

Can anyone explain why my delayed text captions are not appearing in any mode BUT Preview/Play this slide. When I do that type of preview, the text captions show up exactly when I set them (starting at 27s - and are set to display for 'rest of slide').
There are eight delayed text captions and none of them show up with I preview the Project, From this slide, or Publish.
The visible flag is on, time is "rest of slide", appear after 27s, effect is not relevant, and it is not a layers issue.

Belive it or not, I wasn't being sarcastic. Only Buttons, Click Boxes or Text Entry Boxes will pause playback of a slide. So I figured if I asked how many you had, you would scrutinize the slide and perhaps discover one you had missed.
Play this slide doesn't behave like the other preview. This doesn't mean it's bad, just different. You simply have to understand that the only real reason for using that type of preview is to achieve a rough representation of timing elements. When will they appear and disappear. As you have discovered, you may not interact with them. You may only watch them. It's a bit like watching something through a window. You cannot reach through it and touch anything.

Static text is not appearing from the form designer

Hi,
We are using Adobe Live Cycle designer 6.0 to design print forms.
The problem we are facing is, sometimes static text element created on the Body Page of the form does not appear at all(when we open the form designer after creating the Static text element), though we can find the static text in XML Source of the form.
For example, if a text element is created with text "XYZ" on body page, it is not visible on the body page whereas the XML Source contains "XYZ" in it.
What can be the problem ?

Hi Nikhil,
I tried using static text from Standard Library and ISR library too. Still the text disappears when i activate the form.
More inputs on this will be helpful.
Also, we are using the Form Designer Version 6.0 which is in-built component of NWDS 2.0.16 installation.

Text elements not centered anymore once project goes live

Hi guys,
I've discovered Edge Animate a few days ago and I really love that it looks and feels a lot like After Effects - you should exchange and implement some functions of EA to AE (i.e. the curves easing options) & vice versa though
What I went through, until know
First of all, I am a Worpdress user using a responsive theme and the Edge Suite plug in.
I've created a typo animation using a custom licensed web font and it took me a while to get it to work properly - the web-kit generated by the myfonts.com kit builder didnt' work with EA, so I had to let fontsquirrel create one instead. Now, the SVG font file gets exported upon export, but the EOT, WOFF and TTF files don't - not sure if it's a bug, but it's an easy thing to copy the files via FTP to the "../uploads/edge_suite/project/..." folder in order to fix this.
My Problem
After uploading the animation to my server via the Edge Suite plug in, approx. 50% of the text elements are not in the right place anymore. The affected elements are all offset by a fixed amount of pixels vertically, while they actually should be centered. When I run the HTML file of the exported web animation locally, everything's fine though.
The problem occurs in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and on the iPhone.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

It seems like it is related to Wordpress or the Edge Suite plug in.

I've uploaded the animation (using web publishing) to a folder on my server, and everything is fine.

I have analysed the code of the animation being rendered on my Wordpress site, but the CSS coordinates all correspond to the parameters inside EA.
I've also installed the Edge Suite plug on a different Wordpress installation (a complete different site) of mine, and the results are even worse. It seems like the origin of some elements is being tossed around space.
That said, I'm clueless.

Text boxes not appearing - CAPTIVATE1.1

I have a number of delegates using Cap1.1 - on some machines
when recording screens, the automatic text boxes are not appearing
when the recording has finished. (the "text box" option is checked
on all PCs in the custom options settings)
I`m sure i`ve heard this could be something to do with Flash
players - I checked one of the machines that is facing the issue
and its using Flash 9.

Sorry, I only keep the current version and one version back
due to storage limitations. I would note that there are few things
more difficult than to suggest a correction for an "intermittent"
problem, but I'd have to say an intermittent problem
on a version that was replaced years ago would definitely
qualify as the most difficult of all.
That said, maybe we can offer some help if we knew what the
problem was. You don't really say, except that some text-captions
on some machines are not appearing. That is not really helpful in
troubleshooting.
What is being recorded - exactly?
Where is it being recorded from - Internet, local drive,
etc.?
What are the delegates (what's a delegate?) doing at the time
they expect, but are not getting, automatically-generated
text-captions?
I am relatively certain that the problem (if I understand
that part), has nothing at all to do with the Flash Player version
installed, but beyond that, I'm sorry that all I can offer is
questions instead of answers.

Text elements not displayng for upgraded 7.x worbook

Hi Experts,
I have migrated a 3.x workbook to 7.x worbook. In 3.x I have text elements for variable in my layout.. After migration the text elements for variables are not displaying and they are blank in 7.x workbook. Is there any equelent opton for text elements option in a workbook in BI 7.0 as it is in BW 3.5 in the layout menu
Please respond to this if you have same issue.

Yeah DB,
when you Upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0 follow the below procedure ,
Open 3.x WB.
Click okie on upgrade options and on the messages.
Refresh your WB, enter required varaibles ( by default variables should bring some data if 'Save and reuse varaibles option is ticked in 3.x WB' ) - there is some problem with this variables in SP14(Back end)
Now save your WB - will give u an pop up to save it .Click okie.
Close and reopen your WB , change varaibles and see still you are missing your text elements or not ?

Text Elements not working in report program

Hi Friends,
I had created a new Text-element in my report program while i execute the program my text element is not displayed. but if i use the exiisting element then it is displaying correctly.
For Ex:
There are Text-Elements like
E01: Error
S01:Success
Now i am adding new text-element
W01: Warning.
In program;
Message text-W01 type 'E'. . In this case it is not displying the TE.
But if i use E01 or S01 then it is displaying.
Can anybody tell me what is the problem?

Check in which language it is then CHANGE LANGUAGE FROM GERMEN TO ENGLISH.
NOW YOU BE ABLE TO CHANGE.
GOTO> TEXT ELEMENTS> SELECTION TEXTS

Cost elements not appearing in report

Hi,
We have reports done in report painter. we use cost element group to retrieve the amounts posted to that group.
I added 2 more accounts to the cost element group and saved.
but it is not appearing when I run the reports which shows cost element wise amounst for teh period.

when i go to GRR2, gives the library I see in GR53, and search report group in list of values ,
I am not able to see the report group as above.
When I manually type in it says
Report Y511 does not exist
Message no. KH 502
Diagnosis
You tried to change a row/column structure which does not exist.
Procedure
Choose an existing row/column structure or creating a new one using
    'Row/column structure' -> 'Create'.

WSDL Import - Elements not appearing

Hi,
Got WSDL from third party and imported into IR as external definition and used as target structure in mapping.
I can see most of the fields except couple of nodes in which sub elements & attributes are not appearing.
We are on PI 7.0 SPS 13.
Apparantly, this WSDL is working fine with PI 7.1(tried on friend's machine).
Please help.

Hi Mallik,
As Prateek mentioned, there may be some tags in your wsdl which are not supported by 7.0 but are supported by PI 7.1.
Check out the below document for the tags suppoprted by PI 7.0 and PI 7.1 respectively.

Text Functions Not Appearing in PDF (Financial Reports)

In the header of Financial Reports we are using common text functions to create the report titles with POVAlias and related functions. These headers correctly appear when printing or web viewing the reports. However, when viewing or printing to PDF - the header appears blank - the function results are not displayed.

Target element not appearing

hi all,
i have node is source source_n1 occurace 0.unbouned ,in target it is mapped to node target_n1 occurance 0.unbouned .
target node has extra fields tar_e1 mapped from another source node which has element e1 ocurace 1.1
target elemnet occurce 0...unbouned have given
probelm is that Target node target_n1 is getting occured times sourece node source_n1 but the element in target is apperaing only once in target ( it appears only in first target node only ) .
it is not appearing in other target nodes target_n1
plz help me out .

NonRecurring element not appearing through API

Im not able to create element entry for nonrecurring elements through API. I have hardcoded the values. The procedure says that it was executed successfully. But the entry is not created. Im able to create entries for recurring elements. Only with nonrecurring element that im having an issue.

i can see that the element entry has been created. but why is it not appearing on the entries window from the assignment window and i noticed that an effective end date has been set. Why?. I want to process a payroll for july 2008

Group text messages not appearing in messages

I am receiving all one to one text messages on my iPhone and Macbook, but group strings are not appearing on my macbook pro. Am I missing something? I've deleted existing threads from phone, power cycled, and still no joy.

I too have the same annoying issue. I have to continuously take out the battery and restart my Q10 in order for my text messages, facebook, and email notifications to come in. This is my second Q10 now as the first one started freezing when I tried sending emails so I thought the Hub problem was related to a faulty phone but now that I have my second one, the same problems are happening (except for the freezing of the phone). It is incredibly frustrating that a phone in this price range has such a basic fault when the main purpose of a mobile phone is to receive phone calls, text messages, and emails!!
I have also found that I have multiple contact details for the same person and that if I try to call someone's mobile that begins with 04 (Australian mobiles) I get told I can't call that number, but if I call a mobile with +61 (Australian country code) I get through to them! The phone also wont save contact details of people who only have a landlines number.
I have been with Blackberry for 6 years now and this is my 4th BB phone. I have always been a staunch advocate of the Blackberry until now. These software issues should not be happening in a high end phone.
Blackberry, please create a fix for these basic issues as soon as possible.

Bex. Query in 3.5 : All Variable values using Text Elements not shown

I am using a Variable, for which I am suppose to select more than 15 values . After executing the report, I am trying look for these values using Layout--> Display Text Elements --> All.
Only first 10-11 values are shown and the rest are shown as ...
As such, I cannot see all the values in WAD too, in the info tab.
Is there any limitations to display the values with text elements ?
Any idea how to display all the values ?

You are right. I can do this if I select Filter values.
But, I am trying to show the values entered for the variables using Layout-->Display Text elements --. Alll or variables.
These are the values shown in the web template. The filter values goes to the data analysis tab, which are fine.
I want to display all the values in the information tab, but only few values are show and rest are shown as ... The same is the case when I select Layout-->Display Text elements --> All or variables. after I execute the query.
