Text elements translation to other language

Hi Friends,
I have added new text elements in english language to show some text in the output of the program.
The program showing the expected output. But if the user login with non english language like FR or DE ...
stll the output is showing in English as i have added text elements in english. But the expectation is when user log in with other language then output should be displayed in that language.
I got transaction SE63 to translate text element from one language to other. But here i am able to transfer text element only one language. But the users can login with different language.
Please advice how to get the output in the user login language .

Do this way
Login into DE language or En language or the language in which u need the transaltions
Go to the particular program from SE38 or SE80 then to text elements and then translation.
And then maintain the translation.
I hav done this before and it has worked for me..
Usually i login from DE and maintain its translation in English

  • Problem transporting the text element translated into Korean language

    Hi guys,
I have created a new data element for the program and make a Korean translation for the new data element.
However, upon transport only the new data element in English language is transported to the QA box, the Korean translation was not.
Did I miss something in my transport request? Or have I done something worng?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
You need to create the separate transport for the translations which SAP will create for you once you do all the steps as I told.
Once you give all the details as told, just press EDIT button by choosing correct language.

  • Transport ot text elements translation

    Hi,
In SE63, I did translate some custom text elements of program SAPMP56T and able to save. But have no idea about how to transport these changes. While saving, I did not receive any prompt for transport request. I am working in SAP 4.6B and checked SE09 to find any transports created , but there was no transport related to translation.
Would appreciate help to resolve the issue.
    With Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi All,
Finally I found way to transport text elements translation. Login Source language, here say EN and then from SE38, text elements screen , click on menu Goto -> Translation
This will take to SE63 screen, you can translate and then click save icon in SE63. Then click on back button to return to SE38 text elements screen. Here again click on SAVE button and that is all. All translation in French also included in this transport. However when you saved text elements in SE38, the message you will get is misleading , it says text elements saved in EN language.
When I transported this request to QA system, French translation of text elements moved to QA system.
I think this is problem in older versions of SAP say 4.6b and backwards. In 4.6C onwards, you have Transport recording option in SE63 .
    WIth Regards,

  • Which team can help if the name of iView is not translated in other languag

    Hi All,
Do you know which team can help if the name of iView is not translated in other language such as Portuguese?
    Thanks,
    Eda

Above statement is correct: contact Portal Team to debug the iView/application.
But you need to also check with your IT team - because it might be the case that the proper browser setting/network setting is figured to be EN (English - assuming).
To test, you yourself can verify if it's the case, change the browser language to Portuguese and test the application. If it gets translated to Portuguese, then that means it's the browser/network/ISP setting/configuration.

  • Problem in translation to other language

I have worked on a web application using JHeadStart Version 10.1.2.0 and JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0, I have to translate all interfaces to other language (Arabic), So I generated the (ApplicationResources_ar.proberties) by setting the property (Generator Language Code=ar) in the File (AppModuleAplicationStructure.xml) and re-run the JHeadstart generator and then I replace values of properties on the generated file with there (equivalent unicode values).
Anyway everything was OK, and all interfaces translated to the new language (Arabic) when the user change the default language of Internet Explorer from English to Arabic, Except some buttons labels (GO,Advanced Search,Quick Search,Details) these buttons labels seem in English characters or encrypted characters, I had tried to re-generate the JHeadstart many times but I got the same result. anyone have an idea about this problem please?

If I understand your problem correctly you are using property file for your nls prompts. I had the same problem in using property files but when I changed it to use javaClass and also using AR8MSWIN1256 characterset, it worked fine. You can enter your prompt into application definition and then generate it using java class and not property file. Besides, don't forget to set your regional setting arabic in control panel to arabic both in regional option and advanced tab.
For information about how to change the JHeadstart generator text default you can see the following link : Re: Internationalization-How to change JHeadstart Generator Text default
    Hope it can help,

    Hi.
You can easily translate the text module using transaction SE63.
    Just select Translation->ABAP Objects->Transport Objects
and fill it like for a smartform
    R3TR  SSFO  <Name of text module>
Choose the language and here you go.

  • Text not translating into another language

    Hi!
When I'm working in Robohelp HTML, and I select topic langauge and change to another language, it does not change the text. I've even tried just selecting a paragraph and changing the language there, but still nothing happens. I'm not sure if something is not set up right with my RoboHelp 8 version, or what the deal is. I did notice that when I changed the language at the project level that the Contents, Index, etc. buttons at the top changed languages, but the text in the topics stayed the same. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or how I can fix this?
    Thanks.

Hi there and welcome to our community
You are unfortunately misunderstanding what this option is for. Different languages require different character sets in order to be rendered on the computer screen properly. All the language setting does is configure the page so it will use that character set. Another process has to occur where the text is converted from one language to another.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Adobe form translation into other language

    Hello Experts,
i have a requirement of printing of adobe form in multiple languages i.e english and french or english and chinese depending on the selection. i have developed my form in 'English'. Now, how to translate the form in other language? Whats the process of doing that..
Can you please explain step by step

Did you use transaction SFP to develp your form in English? If so, go to that transaction and enter your form name and select change. From there, you can select from the menu GOTO --> TRANSLATION. You will be prompted for the lanugage to translate from (Original) and the Target. From here, you will need to select 'Forms and Styles' and double-click the PDFA line. Now you will see you boxes, one with the English (on top) and the bottom half you can begin your translations to the other language.
Just a note, it is best to perfrom this action while logged in under the language you want to translate to. We found issues with special scharacters being saved incorrectly.

  • Translation to other Languages

After applying the documented steps to change GeneratorText_en.properties in the JAGLauncher.jar to support Arabic text we faced the problem the labels on the buttons got ???????? characters, we figured out that this is because the UIX pages generated by JAG have this ????? if we go and re-write them manually to be readable in the source code and then run the application every thing goes well.
Now why the UIX comes with -?????- We are suspecting Problem that influences the XML processor that generates the uix pages! Is it true and if it is how we can influence it to do the right conversion?

    Ahmed,
We have addressed several character set issues in the 903 patch of JHeadstart. Are you using this version? If not, could you try if that helps (see the announcement that we posted on this Forum last week). If you already are using this patch, can you send your Generator_xx.properties file to [email protected], so that we can give it a try?

  • Maintaining Text Elements in Original vs. Logon Language

For report RFIDPL06, we are adding a new text element. The button "Maintain in Original Language" was clicked and the new text element was added to language "DE".
Our question: How do we switch to "Maintain in Logon Language" so that we can add the new text element in language "EN"?
The RFIDPL06 original language is "DE".
    Any help appreciated.
We are using SE38 to maintain the text elements. The new text element is in English so we do not need a translation. We need to be able to maintain the text element in English. The logon language is English but the text elements are in German.
How do we switch to maintain the text elements in English?

    1. How you are adding a new text element to a standard report. after getting access key?
If you want to maintain translaction for text element in EN then you need to use transaction code SE63.

  • How to translate english into other language in codes?

    Hi Experts,
Is there any API in ABAP to translate one language into another?
    Thanks

    Hi Vincent,
There are different ways to translate into other languages.
For text elements in reports, Menu GOTO -> translation.
SE63 also you can use depends on the type object/text.
Let me know if you want more info.
