Text/Email Alert tone help 8520

Hi Guys,
My 8520 isnt playing the correct "tones" I have assigned for Text and Email alerts. It is playing the same tone for both and inside and out of the Holster. I have checked I have it set to play "Always" but it doesnt??

Go to profiles and make sure you scroll all the way down to Advanced.

The text/email/alerts sound volume has gone right down on my iPhone 4, but the ringtone volume is still loud! Adjusting the volume in "Settings" only changes the ringer volume, I just can't find a way to increase the alerts volume! Help please!!!

What data count is accurate? My Verizon, #data or usage text/email alert?

I'm back with Verizon after 2 years with Sprint.   With Sprint the three lines never I had (two iphones and a HTC android phone) never exceeded 2gb so I opted for the 2 Gigabyte data plan with verizon. Now I have two iphones and one Galaxy S3. The way the phone are used is about the same....or a little less since now my mom's iphone runs off her wifi when at home. The other two phones run off my home WiFi, plus I typically work at home. The 2nd Iphone is my business cell, so its use is primarily for calls and a few emails.
I monitor the usage ever few days using my verizon and the vz website.    Yesterday those counts showed 1.64 total usage. However I received text messages and emails last night saying I used 90% of my limit.   This morning I went jogging (and used Pandora). I received another text/email saying I had gone over my data usage. I immediately checked the verizon app and website, and I was not over. There are just two days left in the billing cycle. I checked the my verizon app, my verizon website and #data just now. They all show 1.78, which seems accurate. Also online the last activity logged was less than an hour ago and included data from my jog earlier.
So, how do I know if I'm really over.....or just being suckered into upgrading.? Is the text/email alert accurate? I've read several posts on this forum and others suggesting #data and the vz website are accurate and the texts are bogus. Others claim my verizon show no overage but their bill does.
Any helpful responses will be appreciated!

By dialing #Data on your mobile device, you will see the entire amount of shared data used on your account. The amounts you are viewing on your individual phone may be from your line only. You will need the entire amount used by all your lines which are higher than your individual usage. You should also get this information on via My-Verizon. We can also confirm the amount used if you contact us by dialing *611 or 1-800-922-0204. How to disable email alert tone on E71

I've just upgraded the firmware on my E71 and now I'm going through the process of setting everything up again. I've reinstalled Nokia email and it retrieves ok from gmail. However I cannot turn off the email alert tone in the General profile.
If I go into Tones there is no 'Off' or 'Silent' option for the email alert. I'm sure there was with the old firmware. It used to give a brief vibrate but no sound which suited me fine.
I suppose I could select the Silent profile as this does have a 'Off' option for the email alert. It seems a bit of a kludge though. Am I missing something? This is driving me nuts.

E71 Different email alert tones

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to have different alert tones for different email accounts? I have three email accounts set up on my E71 but when I get an alert, I never know which account it is so I have to check all three, which is a bit annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a single mail alert tone in the tone settings, all accounts are therefore limited to that one choice, unfortunately.

Go into your VersaMail account. Then go into the Menu, select Options > Preferences > Alerts (under the Delivery section). Make sure the Alerts box is checked.

Dinc text/email alerts too short....

I have the droid incredible. When I get a text or e-mail, the phone makes 1 alert/vibrate alert and there isn't an option to make the alert repeat ( say every 5 min or so) until you read the msg. Any advice/ recommendations ? Thanks.

+1 for missed call. love it. not only can you customize the reminder but now when i get a text i get the stock short vibrate and 3 long vibrates. i don't miss nearly as many texts anymore. and if i do miss it...i get it 5 minutes later.

is there a way to have different tones for different email accounts , so that not all the sounds are the same ? also is there a way to change the level of volume for email different then the phone ring sound level ?

How to add Email alert tones

Okay so I have a Gmail account, AOL, Comcast, and my business email all coming in on my iPhone 4S. Is there a way I can assign a different ring tone for each when I get new mail? I didn't see a way in the settings and didn't know if I need to download an app to get this to work.

Text, email, voicemail tones

I have an iPhone 4s and have set the tex, voicemail, mail, tweet, etc tones to "none". They still, however, sound the tones. Any thoughts on how to silence those. I want my to keep the phone volume on to hear calls, but not all of these tones. Thanks

Text message alert- turn off or modify

In spite of some other comments on this topic, it is not easy to find how to modify the text message alert in the E71 manual. I have been awakened several times by amber alerts during the night. When I tried to find how to turn off the message alert in the manual, I could not find it. I emailed Nokia and the following (modified a little) is what I received:
To turn off or change text message alert tone:
In response to your concern, we would like to inform you that you can change the message alert tone of your device.
Please refer below for the steps:
1. Select Menu
2. Select Tools
3. Select Profiles and to change the message tone
4. Select current profile if not already selected
5. Select Options
5. Select Personalise
6. Select Message alert tone (page to off or vibrate if preferred)
Problem solved! I hope this helps some of you having the same problem.

Hi, Is there anyway I am able to change the message/email alert tone?
At the moment the only way I get notified of new mail/sms is buy a very quiet beep and the light flashing.
Are you able to assign a ringtone to different aspects of receiving new data?

Yes you can. Just go into Profiles | Advanced. Next click into the "Active" profile. In this next screen you'll be looking at the different categories in which you can modify the ringer/tone settings. So in your case for emails you would go into the "Messages" category and change the Out of Holster, Ring Tone settings.SO for example for Calendar reminders you would edit the Calendar category. For text messages you would edit the SMS Text category.
