Text entry fields not able to tab between 2 fields

Hi there,
I have placed 2 text entry fields that are for username & a password, I on publish/preview, I type the username and go to hit the TAB key to move to the password field but nothing happens & cursor does not move to the other field...
I did try a quick search for this question as I thought it must of happened before to others, but could not find what I needed..the answer ;-)

DOH! I just found some more information on tabbing between these fields, so will check that out fisrt........must be Friday (over here)

Tab between fields when editing song information

iTunes 10.4 removed the ability to tab between fields when editing song information. Is there another shortcut now?

Yes, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Actually the Tab sequence was reversed in 10.4. I'm upset that it took me until Septeber 2011 to figure it out. For the longest time, probably every release of iTunes. The Tab sequence went (Source-->Tab-->Search Music box-->Tab-->Tracks List)
Now it's the reverse and it's so annoying. I have both Mac and Windows and was able to downgrade my Windows iTunes to 10.3.x (though I had to downgrade to a previous iTunes Library.itl file. I cannot downgrade my Mac iTunes b/c it's my main library and I'd lose historic data by restoring and old iTunes Library.itl file
I've written to Apple about this several times the past few weeks but they've yet to address this. The latest version is 10.5 and it hasn't been restored. I WISH Apple would RESTORE this feature to its ORIGINAL design!!!

Not able to see Metadata fields when adding the fields to the rule in UCM

Not able to see Metadata fields when adding the fields to the rule even after creating them in information fields of configuration manager.It is happening for few fields only.We are using 10.1.3 version of UCM.Kindly provide a solution if any.

You are right on LR_JP to be linked to customs code list instead of ACE and I do achieve that if I were to maintain the Custom code list by maintaining the assignment for EAR in a separate test.

On this document, if you look at page# 14 thru 17, it has the steps I described in my original note with customs code still appearing in the drop down for 'EXCPT' for EAR.
Nevertheless, I wanted to default Type = C50 when the license type for the line on the Customs declaration is 'EXCPT' but if you see the very last screen-shot below, even though the license type configuration has default value as 'C50' it did not get pulled into the line item Documents tab when I tried to pick the category as 'CUII'.
Let me know your thoughts on defaulting the data into Customs declaration for AES filing.
What I want to achieve is the following:
When License type is 'EXCPT', system should default the type as 'C50'
Should put the License type 'EXCPT' into the number field
Should put the actual License# 'ENC' into the Supplement field
Should put the ECCN # '5A002' into the Details field

SQVI - Not able to see all fields in a table.

As Tamas suggested, field RTEXT is actually a filed in text table T508S. You would have to join table T508S in your query.

Captivate 4 AS2 Text Entry Box not working with Flash Player 11

I am having issues with text entry boxes not working at all in flash 11. I am using Captivate 4 and exporting an AS2 swf. When you get to the slide you can type but you cannot see anything nor does the button or keystroke to move on. Also there is no cursor. Any ideas?

You said it is not working with Flash 11, so does that mean you tested with previous version and that worked?
While publishing choose Flash player as 9 and publish that, verify if that plays in a compatible web browser.
AS 2 is a legacy scripting, it has been said not too be supported with even Flash Player 10 --

I believe if you switch back to version 9 while publish your project, it should work.

Not all carriers allow that to be set using preferences in the phone. Contact your carrier.

Not able to see added field in datasource after transporting in quality

Replicate your datasources...and activate the transfer structure...now go to the transfer rules and bring the field for mapping.

Not able to view the fields ....made through enhancement 0002--

Dear Freinds,
            I have made enhancment for infotype's 0002 and 0023 . However when i am looking through PA30 for a personnel number iam not able to view the fields created in 0002 infotype , however iam able to view the fields created in infotype 0023 . Is there is a any setting's i have to make so that i can view these fields created in infotype 0002 also ??

i want to tell one thing.........   i have created for 0002 by adding new the new field (chinese name) .. it created a z program.ZP000200(Module pool) with the below
includes
INCLUDE ZP000210.
INCLUDE MPPDAT00.
INCLUDE FP50PPSB.
INCLUDE MPPERS00.
INCLUDE ZP000220.
INCLUDE ZP000230.
INCLUDE ZP000240.
and when i went to the screen 0200 i have found the field which i have added
P0002-ZZCHNAM type char 20 . and i executed from here itself (by clicking F8).
and iam able to see the field which i have added
under additional fields...........but the same if i go in PA30 and create .........for an employee (molga = 27)... i dont find the field which i created...... i have done this
change for the country 27 only.

Slow tabbing between fields

Hello,
We have a very complex interactive form with repeating_subforms. We open it binding a large xml file. Tabbing between fields is very slow when we are editing the form.
We have designed a simple form with one repeating_subform and without scripting. Bindig the same xml file, tabbing between fields is very slow too.
How can we solve this problem?

Not able to use Shift field and Shift Grouping field while using OPK0

I am using the SAP ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack-4,
In Transaction 'OPK0' while confuguring the default value for shift in the *Default* Tab, i am getting the 'Shift - field:SHIFT_PROP('Proposal Shift for Single-Screen Entry') and Shift Grouping, in Display mode, i have also tried to configure it with SAP4all authorization, but still it was in Non editable mode.
Also i tried applying Note:1177952, but was not able to apply the same, as we are already using Enhancement pack-4.
let me know the solution to the above problem.

Text Entry Box not displaying

Hello,
I apologize if this has been answered prior, but I've searched and couldn't find a solution (although I might just be terrible at searching).
Whenever I do a software simulation recording in a particular Captivate project (I'm running 5.5), the recording doesn't seem to auto-insert the TEB's for the text fields I've used (at all). Instead, when the slide that's suppoesed to require text-entry is shown, it just auto-fills all the text I entered during the simulation and skips to the end of the slide. I can't for the life of me figure out why; there are no TEB's on the timeline either for that slide.
I do have my Custom settings setup to "Automatically Add Text Entry Boxes for Text Fields"
Any idea why this is happening?

Unfortunately there are a few variables in this equation. Captivate may not understand that a text entry field is a text entry field. It sometimes misunderstands other controls it encounters. I believe that it largely depends on how the application developer elected to name the element. I believe that's how Captivate knows what an element is. By its name. So if an application developer created a Text Entry field but named it something obscure, Captivate fails to recognize it as such and insert the appropriate element.
The good news here is that you are free to add any element you like after you have recorded. So even though Captivate failed to catch it, there's nothing preventing you from manually adding it. It's a hassle to have to do it, but at least you aren't prevented from doing it.

Not able to add new fields in Content cube

I think I had this post earlier too, but I haven't been able to add new fields in a Business content cube. I added them in the cube but I am not sure how to update the datasource, infosource, update rule etc. in proper manner.

In this case, do you think I need to update the data sourece too, if so how do I do that it's function module. data source I am using is '0ME_ISM_AM_REV_1'. So please give me some more details. Text entry box not funtioning

Does anyone know if project a project size affects the functionality of text box entry.
We have a project with 377 slides and for some reason, certain text entry boxes are not funtioning.
when we break the project down to smaller pieces, the functionality is restored.
is there some type of size limit for project/ text box funtionality?

Hi there
Project size affects lots of things. You should consider yourself lucky that you haven't seen corruption and loss of data with that many slides!
Captivate 5 should change this limit, but versions 4 and earlier should adhere to a typical guideline of 50-65 slides. Sometimes you can get away with as many as 100-150, but it depends on many factors such as number of objects, how much audio is present, project resolution, etc.

Text Entry Box not showing all text

I am creating a simple exercise where I would like the user to copy text from the course, paste it into word, and report back what the word count is. I thought perhaps the Text Entry Box would be the best way to go, since if you click on the existing (default) text, you can copy it. However after I place the paragraph of text in the box, and resize in the editor so that all the text shows, it does not show all the text when playing back, either previewd or published. It only shows the last few words of the last line at the top of the box.
Is there something I am missing? Or, is there an easier/better way to do what I need?

If this is Captivate 4, there may not be any need for a widget to do this. I'm guessing you haven't tried enabling the Scroll Bar for the Text Entry Box (TEB)?
When I just plop a TEB on a slide, I get this in edit view:
During playback it looks like this:
But if I edit the TEB properties and enable the Show Scrollbar option:
I get this in the output:
