Text error message in CS3

Here is another strange error I just got:
What does this mean? It happened when I hit command-A when editing text. I can type, but just not select all.

Did you happen to copy text from Illustrator to the clipboard and still have Illustrator open?Try quitting Illustrator.
Or try Edit > Purge > Clipboard and see if that helps.

Question error message photoshop CS3

I have a MacBook Pro and have good luck using CS3 extended. A couple of days ago when I opened the program and I received an error message: 'Your license is no longer active". I purchased program update via the internet last June so I am legal. The window popup says to 'reinstall the program'
. I can reinstall photoshop 7 but how do I reinstall the CS3 upgrade since I have purchased over the internet?

I suddenly started getting the same error message and was reaching my wits end in trying to find a solution.
This may sound bizarre, and you may not have the same situation as I found, but check your system/Windows date setting.
Somehow, the year on my system had become 2096. I corrected it, and bingo! PSE 8 Editor works again.

InDesign Content Manager error message in CS3

I recently switched laptops (XP to Win7) and now I'm receiving the InDesign Content Manager error message. I'm running CS3 and the InDesign file is CS3, as well. I also ran the plug-in and software update, but I'm still unable to open any InDesign files. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Sorry Willi, that's jut not true. I run CS3 with no issues whatever on two different Win7 pro x64 systems.
I don't, however know what that error message is. Is there any more to it? Have you tried running as Administrator or in XP compatibility mode? (I don't run in compatibility mode, but my users are admins). Do you run a font manager? What do you have for Anti Virus and Malware scanners?

Picture Text Error Message

So with recieving some of my picture texts now i am getting an error message that states the following "One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset" is this a carrier issue or a software issue? I am using an iPhone 5 with the 7.1 OS, thanks!

Recurring text error message

Hi, just got a iphone 4 last week and starting to discover all the different features. I have a text problem starting today I can't seem to resolve. My text messaging has been working fine I have to say. Then this morning I sent a text to an international phone number that turn out to be wrong number. First nothing happened. Then 5 hours later I received a reply telling me the phone number is incorrect. Ok, fine. But wait, after that I keep receiving the same exact error message, about every five minute. I went I deleted the original text message by going into edit and removing the whole post. Not so lucky, I still keep receiving the error sms. I am afraid this is going to go on and on, all night and day. Does anyone knows what I can do to make it stop?

Well there is no table available in the oracle to see such. However, for UNIX flavour in the rdbms directory (I guess) you have a flat file called oraus whch contains all ora errors messages. For NT(WINDOWS) system, you need to write a procesure using error code I believe. I had seen this in the asktom site. Search, you may get it.

After installing Flash Player on a Mac with Mavericks, I get a long text error message about "Installation error". Can send screen shot if helpful.

Error message titled "Internal Server Error". Unable to download screen shot, which is a small file, but .tiff.
Any recommendations on the basis of this very minimal info?

Yes a screenshot will be helpful. The format needs to be either JPG or PNG to upload to the forums. You can use the Preview app (How to post a screenshot in the forum) to take the screenshot and save it in JPG or PNG.

Program Error Message on CS3

Just downloaded CS3 to new computer. I get a message "cannot use because of program error" when opening the clone tool. What do I need to do?

Trash the prefs as per the FAQ. Other than that, such messages can point to missing system DLLs (MSVC runtime and such), which has also been discussed a couple of times, so do a search on this forum.

Component install failed error message installing CS3 on windows xp

Trying to install CS3 from original DVD on to XP professional computer. Install completes with notice of Errors 5 components and under each component such as Flas CS3 it says "Component install failed" How do I overcome this problem. Have tried all solutions in help to no avail.

they can text me but I cannot respond to them - now in the middle of receiving info on a death in the family - started getting the same message, and

First, uninstall "SuperTV" (whatever that is) according to the developer's instructions. It isn't working and it's filling the log with noise.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message. When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
PLEASE DO NOT INDISCRIMINATELY DUMP THOUSANDS OF LINES FROM THE LOG INTO A MESSAGE. If you do that, I will not respond.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

Creating TextFiled with Error Message inside catch block .

Hi,
That code looks like it was written in a Component or the main Application. The addChild() method will add the TextField to the main app.
The code also looks like it is from an ActionScript only project, but will work the same in a Flex App (use a Label component instead).
The catch block is not special, the scope has access to it's containing class, which in this case is a DisplayObjectContainer at the least.

CS3 "Could not complete your request because of a program error" message

I am running Photoshop CS3 and I just upgraded to leopard 10.5, the latest version of leopard. My processor is a dual 2.5 ghz powerpc G5 and I have 4.5 GB DDR SDRAM.
Upon opening the program (whether I'm opening a file or just opening the program) I'm getting a "Could not complete your request because of a program error," error message.
After clicking ok, I get infinite dialog boxes and have to force quit the program.
Any known solutions for this?

Yes, I had that happen this morning as well. That message appeared after I opened a psd file, when it asked if I wanted to update text layers. I clicked ok, the file opened (it's layers appeared in the layers palette), and that that program error dialog popped up immediately after. I never could get it to go away, it just kept appearing in succession. Were you trying to open the file over a network?

Error message when installing Indesign CS3 trial. I need help ASAP

I have searched the forums and adobe.com and have tried everything that I saw. None of it worked for me. I have tried and tried to install Indesign CS3 trial. I keep getting the error message: Indesign has encountered a problem and must close.
I have windows XP and plenty of RAM. What can the problem be? I have done everything I can think of to do. I added more memory and did everything the forums said to try. I really need this for my class. I am getting behind. I cannot afford to buy the program. Please help!!!!!

If you scroll down you'll see there's Windows info there, too. Aside from being sure the fonts are activated, you might try renaming the Sing folder, which should be in Program Files\Common\Adobe.
You could also try Help > Configure Plugins and disable the Sing.apln, but I don't know how you can get there if the program won't start. Maybe going to the Adobe InDesign CS3\Plug-Ins\Text folder and changing the name from SING.apln to SING.bak would do the trick.
If it's really the SING problem, that ought to fix it, but you won't be able to work with Oriental languages.

Can't insert text into web page plus script error message

I'm using CS3 and, on a fairly regular basis, when I am either pasting or inserting content (usually a newsletter of 500-1000 words), I get a message saying something like I can't insert text in this area. I definitely can insert text in the area as I have done it tons of times before. I sometimes have to cut and past a doc line by line to get it to insert. Very frustrating!
Also, just recently, I've been getting a script error message, "An error has occurred in the script of this page" followed by Line: 992, Char: 106, Error: Unterminated String Constant, followed by the question: Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? I click Yes and everything seems to work fine.
Help on either would be appreciated.

You might want to make sure you are trying to copy plain text. It's possible that if you are copying from a Word document or another Web site that you are bringing along extra unseen code it doesn't like. Try copying into Notepad first and then copying from Notepad into Contribute. Not sure if that's the problem or not, but that's what came to my head first.
I used to get an error that sounds similar (however it's not reproducing the error for me right now) to your error. It was because some of my users had javascript menus on their page that Contribute didn't like. However, if worked fine when you clicked yes and it was fine once it was published. So if you are running a script that's probably why and I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as you can continue working and the page displays to your users correctly once published. It's just annoying.

Bridge CS3 error message

When I downloaded my CS3 on my new iMac I am now unable to open the Bridge program all other programs are fine but every time I open the Bridge there is an unexpectedly closed message there is an error message but I can see it because the closed messsage comes up so fast. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the same thing happens.
CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME I HAVE SO MUCH INFORMATION IN THAT PROGRAM??

Did you move any files after the install? Whether you did or not computer thinks you did.
Best bet is to uninstall, run Adobe Script Cleaner, then reinstall. The script cleaner will delete any bits and pieces missed by uninstall.
