Text failed to send, still charged

This has been an ongoing problem. Several times messages have failed to send, no matter how long they are, yet I am still charged. The cost is never reimbursed. Also, I topped up Skype credit last week and received an invoice for 2x £3.99 totalling £7.98. I had received an invoice for a previous top up approx. 2 weeks ago just after that top up so can't imagine that they were sending that invoice again with this new purchase. Any suggestions?

I have the latest version of Skype at present, I always update when I am advised to do so. This is about the 4th text message that I know about that although it is ticked as being sent, the recipients have not received the text and the texts sent went into more than one text, think the one today was 3 messages so not cheap. I have decided that I will use the funds that I have in credit for the telephone and then stop using Skype all together. It is a nuisance when you are not aware that the message has not reached the recipient, it is very unreliable now so I cannot use it to send text any longer.  I would rather pay the extra 2p to send by my landline phone. I have some very important issues at present, my hubby is quite bad with Alzheimer's disease so I really need a reliable source of contact and Skype for me is no longer that!

  • Text fail to send

    occasionally, texting fails, same person ea time, txt to email all day every day, totally fine, then suddenly, will not send, just to that person, red '!'  Email via phone goes fine at same time, so not her side/isp...any ideas? Flawless 95% of time..

        We want to see those picture messages flying again! Does the wireless signal appear strong when attempting the message? What Messaging app are you using myustbedumb? Are you also using a Network Extender?

  • Iphone 4 failing to send and receive texts/calls

    Hi
    Every now and then at least once a day my phone will fail to send texts unless I turn phone off and back on, usually after doing this I then receive texts that people have sent hours or even days ago!
    When it is in this state I am also unable to make or receive calls, again until I turn my phone off and back on!
    Can anyone advise as to what this problem is?? My old Iphone 3g had the exact same problem.

    I have been having this problem for bsolutely months now with my iPhone. Now 3 phones later (3GS), new sim card, new number and some network fiddling with my account by O2 I am still having this problem. What happens with me is if someone send me a long message, usually if it is over 4 texts or longer (sometimes happens with just 3) then the phone wont receive it. This will then, 9 times out of ten, lock the phone up meaning I cant receive calls or texts or make calls or texts. I have to turn off then back on, or turn airplane mode on then off to unblock the phone. After apple not knowing what the problem was, and O2 not caring, I did some testing myself. When I restore the phone it is fine, when I install apps it is fine, it is only when the apps have been loaded up for the first time especially ones that save ur login in details such as facebook. Once they have been used, and closed down, they seem to affect the network and not let large amounts of data in such as a long texts. Now to me this is a carrier and Apple problem surely. Not allowing texts messages through cause apps are taking up to much bandwidth!!
    I am in the UK and on O2 in the Portsmouth area. Strangely though, this problem doesn't happen when I am in Bognor. It is almost as if there is less people using the bandwidth there so O2 have more space to puch the messages through despite the apps restricting the amount.
    Any thoughts? I think this issue needs to be made more public for networks and Apple to look at!

    Why does my phone fail to send messages, then randomly send messages?  I'll attempte to send a text, it'll fail. I'll have to try again 2-3 times sometimes.  Then I'll get a text a day later or several hours later from folks saying that I'm texting them from earlier? I'm hearing that this issue is isolated to the iPhone 4s?

    Erase any conversation you have with this person in your Messages, then start a new one and see if it does same thing.    If it still doesn't go through right away, it's a problem with your friend's iMessage setup, not yours.

    No don't restore your iphone. I've done that several times & it has never worked. -I still have deleted contacts in my iphone texts.  *However if you do restore it you will not lose all your data, pics, text messages etc if you backup in iCloud. It restores back to original phone. Very nice :). Anyhowwww....
    I JUST  figured it out!! :))). Remove the contact from recents.
      Start a text. You should see the deleted contact. All the way to the right of the name is a symbol. The symbol is a circle with "i" in the middle. Click that symbol then in red lettering click "remove from recents".

    Hey Guys, well yesterday I got my Iphone 4 and activated it earlier today with a T-Mobile micro sim card and after I entered in all of my contacts , I tried to send a text to my friend but it failed and it noticed that when tried to send it the text color was green then i sent another text to a different friend and this time it was blue. My brother told it that the blue text good for iphone users while green was good for anything other than iphone. I turned off  "enable 3g" and cellular data and I turned on mms messaging, "send as SMS'', and group messaging and I tried again to send the text to the green user but it failed to send again.     Yes, you can send texts to Android, etc.  They will all be green as you say above.  But text messages are at the discretion of your cellular carrier.  You have to have a plan in place with them to send/receive (green) text messages.

    I am trying to create technical systems in the SLD on the portal (http://host:port/sld). It prompts me to start the SLD server by going to Administration.
    When I click the button "Start Server" under Administration, I get this following error message:
    "Failed to send start signal for complete cluster, SLD may still be stopped on other cluster nodes."
    Can you please tell me what has to be done to successfully start the SLD server so that I can go ahead and add technical systems.

    If your download gets interrupted mid-flow it usually resumes next time you start iTunes. Just occasionally however the item may complete the transfer to your download folder, but fail to be copied into your main library. Have a look inside the download folder to see if you can see any evidence of the file in question. It might also be worth checking the Movies section in case iTunes has failed to set the Media Kind as Music Video.

  • Text messages fail to send

    Periodically, text messages seem to hang for a long period of time in the "sending" status.  Then I get an error message that says the message failed to send. When I check with the recipient, they usually say they did receive the message.  Sometimes they say they received the same message three times.
    I cannot see a pattern for when these failures occur.  It has happened when I have one bar and when I have 4 bars.  It has happened when I'm connected to 3G or 4G, and when I'm connected to wifi.

    You can ONLY use the itunes store of your country of residence ( as proven by the valid billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while you are physically located inside the borders of that country.
    You cannot use the U.S. itunes store form outside of the U.S.
    Gift cards are country specific.  You can only use them in the itunes store of the country in whxh they are purchased.  A frecnh itunes card cannot be used in the U.S Store.

    Does the film show on your account's purchase history e.g. the purchase went through, it's not just a temporary store holding charge ?
