Text field required on PO

Dear All,
i want to have one new text field on item level in PO so that i can update some text for ma future requierment.
in STD system i dunt have any field which covers my requirement.

you are trying to change the value of the field instead of it's accessability.
Try this:

How to make a text field required at run time when the user clicks the checkbox ?

I got a form where , there are several checkboxes and text fields associated with that checkboxes.If the use clicks on the check box then the associated
text fields should become required.I have tried the change event and the click event for the checkboxes.It gives error in the onChnage event and I got some weird results in the on click event .Sometimes if the user click the check box , then for the 1st time the field doesnt become required , then the user onclicks the check box and when the user clicks the checkbox for the second time the field becomes required,but if i deselects the highlighted field option and selects it again the field becomes required even if the user onchecks it I am totally confused !!! Adding to it i have also written the wrong code still i achieved the desired result ?? How it can be possible . I am writing the codes below , please help me as i am working under a deadline from the client.

I used the onchange event and wrote the code for it. I got the result . But there is a problem.All these fields are in a table and it's a dynamic table where you can add rows dynamically at the run time .I have other change event for some fields in this table .All are working fine when i add the row.But for this check box the required fields are not validated as required at the run time . I am here giving the code , Please help me .

Making a text field required when a radio button is clicked

Hello all, I am very new to designing PDF forms, and I want to implement this requirement but have no idea how to go about doing it. I am designing an order form, and in a few different sections of the form are text fields that I want to be required, but only if a certain radio button on the form is clicked. So for example, I have a radio button group on the page consisting of two buttons, and then immediately to the right is a text field. If the user selects button 1, the text field is not required, but if they select button two, the text field is required. How do I implement this? I am using Livecycle ES3. And when I say required, I am referring to the field value/property of "User Entered - Required". Also, I cannot accomplish this by hiding and unhiding the field depending on which button is clicked, as this form will also be printed and filled out by hand, so all fields must be visible at all times. This form does have a submit by e-mail button and that is how it will be used primarily.
Also, I have searched around the forums a bit, and have tried some Javascript I have found, tying it to a mouseup event on the radio button, for example "getField("Text1").required = (getField("Radio1").value == "Yes");" and "getField("Text1").required = true;" with the names changed for my fields, but no matter what I try it has no effect

If a checkbox is selected how to make a text field required

I hoping someone out there can help me.
I am creating a form in adobe acrobat 9, I have a checkbox called 'other' and a text field named 'other_please_specify'. What I am hoping to do is when a user selects the 'other' checkbox the 'other_please_specify' text field becomes required. I will also need some sort of action that if a user deselects the 'other' checkbox then the 'other_please_specify' text field is no longer mandatory.
Can anyone help me figure this out?

If by required you mean the required property of the field, the Mouse Up script of the check box can be something like:

F110-Text field requirement

Hello Experts,
While making payment to the vendor through F110, we need text field to enter text for our reference but standard SAP has not provided text filed for the payment documents through Automatic payment run.
Please let us know through ABAP coding will it be possible to bring text field in F110 run?

As we know, such kind of option is not available,
If the text is same for all the payment documents, you can do a mass change through
FBL1N - Execute, select the documents, Menu bar -> Environment -> Mass change -> New values
Else, better to convince your Client and made the program to ZF110 and get the filed into change made.

Long text field required in customer field

HI everybody,
We are in the implementation of SRM 5.0. Here requirement is using z include structure, the customer fields have to be added.
In structure, i can add my own fields. But customer wants long text in customer fields.
If i maintain a field with 300 character means, screen displayed as single field as lengthy one.
But customer wants long text.Main worry from customer side is, they want to able to copy and paste paragraph into SRM customer field.
So please suggest me that how can i acheive this issue.

Line item text field from MIGO are not copied into FI line item text field

Hi all on SCN, please, I need a help.
It was created as required by the user a field status group with the text field required.
This field status group was assigned to some accounts, in order to make my unit tests.

In development envirionment was made some tests directly in FI area, and it works properly.

But the user made a test using MIGO transaction, choosing in this transaction an account that he changed its field status variant to the one created in development environment, that make the text fiels required. So, to start, he donu2019t fill the text item of MIGO, and a message error appear stating that he needs to enter values in this field.
After fill in the text fiels, he can save his work.

But the FI document generated donu2019t receive the line item text typed in MIGO, but receives the values on Reference document and Document Header text entered in the header of MIGO, what is missing, donu2019t is automatically copied MIGO text line items to FI documents line Items, does there is some additional configuration missing?

Hi,
Material document will get updated in reference field in FI by default. If for any reason, want to get this updated in text field, you need to define a subsititution in GGB1.

Cursor in Text field

I create a text field required user to type in. Everytime the
user needs to click the mouse in text box before typing.
Could it be automatically that the cursor is in the text box
without pointing the mouse in text box when the movie loaded ? or
just hitting tab button ?

My users ARE not submitting the form, they open the pdf, fill it out and print it. HOW can I, make a field "required', I don't want them to skip/leave blank specific fields. However, if I choose the box 'required' in the text field properties, and I begin filling out the form, I can just tab past that field that I've choose as 'required', and I do not get
prompt/error message or anything, it allows me to save, or print.
I WANT SOME TYPE OF message (similar to enter a company order form
off the web, where you can't continue without filling out 'required' fields).
Is there a step/option I am not doing?

Then you are going to have to write some JavaScirpt to be executed by the "Will Print" document action to check all the requried fields, either by name or by the 'required' property and handle the issue of the imcomplete fields. You will not be able to stop the print, but you could display and error field so the user knows the form is incomplete and the printed form also conatains this information.

When the user tries commit the data by clicking on the button -- For that button, have the logic in the actionlistener method to check if the additional input field is NULL or NOT.
If it is NULL, show an error message using FacesContext.addMessage() API.

To Make the Long text field as required using OA Framework Personalization

In IProcurement requisition, we have long text field called 'Justification' a long text field. I have made this field as mandatory by setting the required property as 'Yes' at site level. This works for Most of the cases. However if the user just presses Enter key and skip without entering something in this field . So how to stop the user without entering something except spaces or enterkey to proceed further.

Very Interesting question, I never thought of it.
In your case you may try to extend the controller of that page and in the controller trim the text and set that value to the text.
In other way, You can try in USER hook function : POR_CUSTOM_PKG package, check if you are getting that value.

Required Text Field for automatically generated line items

Hi Experts,
I have noticed that when additional line items is automatically generated by SAP, the line item text field becomes required for those items. This happens regardless of the configuration made in the field status group....
For example, when posting cross company code transactions using account assignment model, the balancing entries (automatically generated by SAP) requires an input for text field. The same scenario happened when I run F-58 in background (BDC), and there are additional line items in my entry.
Can you please share some insights on SAP's behavior. And is it possible to turn it off?

               1.... Field status groups which we assign to Recon Accounts of customer--OBC4
               2..... Posting keys---OB41
              3....... Field status group for Customer account group
              SPRO>> FA>> AP & AR>> Customer Acct >> Master Data >>Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data              Define Acct Groups with Screen Layout(Customers)
See if it has been set mandatory there. Revert back in case issue is not resolved.

Go to T-Code OBA7 ( Document type)
Select Document type KR ( Vendor invoice)
and Display it in edit mode.
Check the box " Document header text under "Required during document entry". Save the setting.
This will prompt all Vendor invoices to enter Documennt header text.( This is a client level setting)
