What is the difference between "contains" contains all" "contains words"?

Assume your text string for searching is "Philadelphia Churches"
Contains would find any photo that has Philadelphia, and any photo that has Churches.
Contains all finds only those photos that contain both words.

Smart Collections / Text Filter - exact Meaning of Comparison Operator

Can anybody explain to me (in technical or IT terms) what exactly the different comparison operators (contains, contains all, contains words, starts with, ends with, ...) are supposed to do?
I got confused by doing the following:
I have an original image with 2 virutal copies, one containing "Copy 1", the other one "Copy 2" in the Copy Name attribute.
I was playing around with smart collections (and text filters as well), trying to identify all my VCs with the term "Copy 1" in the Copy Name attribute.
I notice that Starts with or Ends with Copy 1 does not show any results (?)
Contains Copy 1 will also show images with Copy 2, Copy 3, Copy 4 .... (seems to be "Copy OR 1")
Contains all Copy 1 will also show images with Copy 10, Copy 11, Copy 12
Contains words Copy 1 does not show any results (?)
How can I search for an exact term (including spaces) in an attribute (like "Copy 1" in Google)?

In Text filter you should be able to use Copy Name Contains All Copy 1+
The + sign means Ends with.
The same approach can be used with Smart Collections

Lightroom Text Filter Cursor

When using the Text filter in lightroom, before I can finish typing the word I want to search for, the cursor goes back to the beginning of the line, so I have to stop and reposition it at the front of the line. Is there anyway I can stop it from doing that? I have Lightroom 4.4. on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.

I am using LR4.4 on both Vista and W8 (no W7, sorry) but have not experienced this behaviour. The cursor just keeps moving to the right as I type, when I press enter the search field is greyed and when I click back into the search field, the cursor is where is was left i.e. at the far right. I know this doesn’t help but you should know that I don’t believe this is default LR behaviour so maybe there is another root cause? Some keyboard or mouse driver software? Windows accessibility settings?

Lightroom 3.2 crashes when performing a library text filter on all photographs

I have LR 3.2 running on Windows XP on a Intel Core 2 E8500 with 4 GB ram. I run one catalog that contains a little more than 51,000 photographs (mostly RAW images). Each time I select ALL PHOTOGRAPHS (in my catalog drop-down on the left), go into the Library Filter, choose TEXT, and type in a keyword to do a search to narrow my photographs down, LR spontaneously crashes...all I get is a Microsoft message asking me if I want to send Microsoft a report and when I click "no", LR just closes. Sometimes when I re-open LR and perform the same task immediately, all goes well. But lately it happens again and again even after I restart LR over and over. This is simply unacceptable as I am constantly needing to search through my entire catalog to find photos with certain keywords depending on the project I am working on. Is my catalog too big? I last optimized my catalog on 10/8/2010. This seems like a bug to me.

Text filter antialiasing

applying a drop shadow filter to a textfield changes its antialiasing so the text goes from smooth (subpixel antialiasing) to quite blocky (whole antialiasing). Is there anyway to add a text shadow without changing the antialiasing?

Extraktion Text filter on language

The BI system is installed in EN language.
I want to extract text in FR language and stored it as EN in the system.
When I extract text data only DE and EN text are extracted.
Which parameter should i changed to extractFR in ECC system?
Should i changed RFC user parameter?
Should i changed settings in BI?

Text Filter Brightens the Image

I'm trying to add some text to my video, which is fine, but then it brightens the image. Is there a way to prevent that?

The way Google filter works, if two pages look too much alike, or there was one other condition I cant remember, the link won't show up in Google until you append &filter=0 to the end of the link. I am searching long and hard for an extension that can automate this, but so far I have been unsuccessful.

hello, you could create a custom search keyword while on google.com like this: [[How to search IMDB, Wikipedia and more from the address bar]]. afterwards you can edit the address of the keyword by going to the bookmark that was created for it, right-click that, go to properties and add the &filter=0 string to the address.

Text filter produces low quality effects?

I'm having trouble getting any of my adobe software to produce a drop shadow without pixelating the image. I'm working with FL but I've tried PS and IL and everytime it ends up looking like an 8 bit graphic. It happens with all the preset effects. The laptop I'm using has a 4 gigs of RAM and a core duo with a 512 MB graphics card. How can I set my software to produce the highest quality effects?

Adding text as a *filter*, not a new layer.

Hi there. Anyone know if there is a filter out there that allows me to add a bit of text to a shot as a filter, rather than having to use the Text generator and use a new layer?
I'm thinking of something along the lines of the Timecode generator filter or 'Viewfinder' filter, but just for text and without the numbers/viewfinder frame. I just want to add static text to a whole bunch of shots without needing to go to a new layer or messing around with nesting. TIA.

What's wrong with Boris 3D Text Generator.....

I've tried to use this tool but the clunky interface and 10 second delay while you open this up in it's own window drives me crazy. But I am trying again to use Boris 3D for subtitles.
However, I just compared the text to FCP's text generator and Boris seems much softer and not nearly as crisp as FCP Text. The concern is that I have to render the FCP text - maybe this accounts for the difference? Boris does not give me a red line. So it's a dilemma - which to use? It's a pain to have to render subtitles - but Boris has that awful delay to deal with and just does not seem as crisp - any one any thoughts on this?

Not sure why you're getting no Real Time playback on the FCP text filter (red render bar) Regardless, even though the Boris titles will play back RT they ultimately need to be rendered as well (green render bar) and will likely look crisper once you do. Boris Title 3D should give you the best results. You could also try Live Type.

Adding "Filter Criteria" to the XSLT List View Web Part impact on "Export to Excel" functionality within Document Library

XSLT List View displaying all the list items within the Document Library. In order to implement the Search functionality within Document library out of box "Text Filter" web part is configured as explained below. The solution is similar to
the one suggested at

Filter Criteria (i.e., XSLT List View columns) added to the XSLT List View where the filter parameters take the input from the "Text Filter" Web Part .
3. Both Web Parts (XSLT List View and the Text Filter) are connected.
When the search criteria is entered into the "Text Filter" Web Part, it is passed to the relevant Columns of the XSLT List View and the documents (List Items) that match the search criteria are shown within XSLT List View.
Search functionality working as expected.
Query: Selecting the "Export to Excel" icon from the ribbon generates the excel spread sheet with no data except Column Titles from the Document library. In the investigation it is
found that adding the 'Filter Criteria' on XSLT List View is causing this bug. When the Filter Criteria is removed, then "Export to Excel" functionality is working as expected.
But it is mandatory to add "Filter Criteria" to implement the search functionality with in the document library.
Help: Help/input appreciated on the work around to get the "Export to Excel" functionality work when the "Filter Criteria"

In the investigation it is found that removing the 'Filter Criteria' on XSLT List View makes the "Export to Excel" functionality work. But the 'Filter Criteria' is mandatory to get the 'Document Search' functionality.
I think that due to technical limitations it should be concluded that 'only custom development can make all work, no code solutions using the SharePoint Designer can meet all the requirements.
If you can think of any alternative solution that could help in resolving the current issue or fix the issue without any custom implementation please inform. Otherwise this issue would be marked as resolved with your suggested response.

SP2013 - Date Filter Web Part looses connection when used in a site template

Hi,
I created two table reports in SQL Reporting Services 2012 and inserted in a web page using the Reporting Service Report viewer in SharePoint 2013 with CU Dez 2013. The two reports require two dates and I use two date filter web parts (I did not try the
date range solution I saw in the fórum).
So the user inputs the two dates in date filters that send the information to thereports in the same page.
They work in the site and I saved it as template. However when I create e new site using it as a templates, the date filter connections are broken and of course, they did not work.
For another report where I usea text filter, it worked without any problem in the template.
Does anybody know any workaround?

The new site based on the saved site template will generate new ID for date filter web part, in the web part page the SPWebPartConnection "ProviderID" value seems still to reference the original date filter web part ID (see from
SharePoint Designer), as a workaround we can re-configure the web part connection from the web part page manually or programmatically from that new site web part page.
