Text(font) stays in preview mode.

Hello,
I hope somebody knows how to fix this.
When you scroll fast in inDesign and go down a couple of pages inDesign applies some kind of standardfont to the text that you see so you can scroll faster(I guess it makes not having to load different fonts faster for scrolling).
The only problem I have is that some of my text stays in this standardfont and I can't change it.
The wierd thing is that it only applies every 2 other pages, so in example pages 1,2 are fine pages 3,4 have the standard thin no so readable font wich you can't change and pages 5-6 are fine again and so on.
I can't put in a new textbox because it will get the same effect and dragging text from a working page with good font applies the standard(?) textfont to it that looks like the same as when you are scrolling.
Hoping for an answer.
Greetings,
Swifty.

  • IPhone 6 texts go stay in landscape mode

Every now and then while texting, my messages randomly end up in landscape mode, and don't go back to portrait mode when I tilt the phone upright.  The phone stays in landscape mode.  I have to hit the home button and then go back into messages and everything is then fine.  The phone is set to auto-rotate and I haven't touched the setting, it has remained in auto-rotate.  I am running 8.0.2 (12A405).

    settings>general>message>raise to listen=off!
    and it will work

  • TS2516 Why does text disappear from some of the pages?  No matter what I do, to include reviewing spelling, the text will disappear in preview mode.

Why does text disappear from the pages in my iPhoto book project?  When I try to buy the book, it comes up with spelling errors (which are names that the dictionary doesn't recognize), but even after clicking "ignore", the text disappears when I preview the book.  Even this is inconsistent because the same words appear on other pages.  There is text on other pages that disappear for no apparent reason.  This has become very frustrating and time consuming.

Are you previewing using this method?  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2486

  • Photo Book text font incorrect in preview?

Help! I'm using two fontsin a photo book: papyrus for title and baskerville for all other text. In Aperture 3.4.5 everything is fine. When saving as a pdf or previewing to buy, the baskerville font is misaligned at the bottom and looks totally different. How do I correct this or is it a bug?
    Thanks,
    John

The font I used while editing a cp4 slide changes when previewed in the web browser.  This does not happen with other slides in my project. What can i do to prevent this?

    Hi there
It might help if you could please insert images of what you see in each view. Perhaps by seeing what you are describing we might understand what may be happening.
Use the camera icon please. If you don't know what I'm referring to, click here and read the thread.

  • Typekit fonts in Muse preview

Hi Does anyone know how to see typekit fonts in Muse Preview Mode?  It would be really useful.
I've looked around on the web and there doesn't seem to be any solution currently.
It's a pain to keep publishing everytime I adjust a type size or leading.
Plus, after a while the published site looks 'broken' after several 'publishes' and I have to wait until the next day for the published browser version to update – I've tried emptying the browser cache etc and that doesn't work.  So sad.
Muse is a great product.  I would like to use it more, but I'm cautious about using any Typekit fonts until they are more 'seamless' with Muse.

    Hi,
I am assuming you are using the Muse Insider workflow (http://museinsider.com/how-to-add-typekit-fonts-to-your-muse-site.html).
The following steps may help with local preview (File > Preview Site in Browser), though not in Preview mode
    1. Add 127.0.0.1 to the comma-separated list of domains your Typekit kit is configured with. Publish your kit.
    2. When you preview the site in the browser, the URL may read something like http://158.39.223.181:33333/Preview/website-1/index.html. Replace the number before the colon with 127.0.0.1 (http://127.0.0.1:33333/Preview/website-1/index.html).
Please let me know if that works.

  • Non websafe fonts appear low resolution in preview mode and in browser

I have a problem when using font that are not web safe, no matter which non webfont I use it appears low res and looks awful in preview mode, ex in the browser. I understand that font that are not supported are converted to images instad of text but why does that make them low res? Does the browser use have any affect on how it appears? I am currently using safari.
This is how the text appears: (Avenir is a non web safe font and Arial and Helvetica are web safe)

    Hi Johan,
While exporting the images from photoshop, try to add 1% transparency and save them as pngs to prevent Muse from compressing those images. Let me know if that makes a difference.

  • Text Field location differs on design view and preview mode

I am using Adobe LiveCycle Desginer ES.  I am updating forms currently created in Livecycle 6 and 7.  I am noticing the text fields are lower on the preview mode than where I have placed them on the design mode. In design mode, they are perfectly in line with the other text.  When going to preview they are off anywhere from a couple centimeters to a couple inches.  I have started over with new forms and had this same problem.
This issue mostly occurs when I have a text box with a large amount of text and I place text fields over the text boxes.  Has anyone had this issue also?  If so, is there a solution?  This issue never happened in 6 or 7, I am only seeing this issue in the ES version.
Any help would be appreciated. (I am willing to recreate the forms, but that has the same issue also.)

In version 7 there were updates made to the text engine. There were situations where things did not align correctly. To solve this there was an option added to allow you to revert back to the old engine. To do this go into the File/Form Properties/Compatibility then click on the button for the Revert Text Formatting and try your form again.
Note that at some point in time you should update your form to use the new engine and stop using the version 6 of Reader/Acrobat.
    Hope that helps
    Paul

  • CS3 Shortcut: How to switch to Preview Mode without leaving the Text Frame

I saw a video were someone was typing and switched to the Preview Mode without leaving the Text Frame (you could still see the blinking cursor at the same spot). Also the Top Menu wasn't used. It must be a Keyboard Shortcut.
Does anyone know which one? Thanks!

  • Text placed within a blank composition thumbnail causes errors in preview mode?

    Greetings Adobe Community,
I'm having some trouble placing text within a blank compositions thumbnail. While in design mode everything is fine and dandy, however, as soon as I preview my design, both in browser and preview mode the thumbnail gets displaced. It's very annoying and I can't seem to stop it from happening.
I've tried to upload pictures detailing the issue but I keep getting this message (below) which should probably be a question topic of it's own.
"An error occurred trying to retrieve data from server. Please try again in a few minutes. Error Code: Object doesn't support property or method 'createContextualFragment'"
Anyway I uploaded the images to photobucket.
Here is what it looks like in design mode
    [http://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/q773/northatlanticdesign/Capture_zps6435a4ee.jpg | http://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/q773/northatlanticdesign/Capture_zps6435a4ee.jpg]
and the error in preview mode

If anybody has a solution to stop this from happening I would be most grateful.
    Cheers,
    John

I believe you are trying to get a color state for composition when its active ? please publish the site and provide the url to have a look.

  • Issues between Design mode and Preview mode

SERIOUS issues going from Design to Preview in Muse.  Line breaks change, objects on the page shift, etc.  This happens when I look at my page in the preview mode through Muse, as well as when I preview the page in a browser.  I also get a warning message saying there is a font being used that is not installed and has been replaced.  This is a font that I do, in fact, have installed on my system, but after getting the error message so many times, I re-formatted all text to a Web Font called Questrial, and still get the error message referring to the previous font.  SO FRUSTRATING.  Any ideas?

I have this problem where the images are not appearing or are appearing cropped.

  • Wrapper tag in preview mode

Hello guys, I have an issue with my website.
It seems that the wraping tag looks fine when in design mode (has the appropriate colour) however, when I switch to preview mode or live version wrapper colour  dissapears. What seems to be causing that?

Your HTML has no </head> tag.
Add this to your #wrapper rule -
    overflow:hidden
The problem was that you are not clearing your floated elements within #wrapper before closing #wrapper, causing #wrapper to collapse vertically to a single line - it collapses to the size of its NON-FLOATED content.  Since there is no non-floated content, It just goes all the way down to a thin line.  The overflow style when used with "hidden | scroll" will force a new block-formatting context within that container, effectively clearing all of the interior floats.

  • How come that the design mode looks different than preview mode with slideshows?

    hello,
I am placing a slideshow on the site. when I look in the preview mode the slideshow is not exactly in the same place.
How come? Am I doing somthing wrong?
    thanks for response

Welcome to the medium that is the web. Every browser has it's own text layout engine and "web-safe" fonts are a misnomer. You cannot rely on text line breaking the same in different browsers. Thus creating text frames that snuggly fit the text within is likely to result in what's occurring on your site in some browsers or browser versions.
As a general rule, you should attempt to use Web Fonts whenever you can. Use "Web Safe" fonts as a second choice. And only use System fonts as a last resort and only for small amounts of text (since they become an image when output).
If you want a specific portion of text to absolutely never go to two lines, you'll want to put it in a text frame that significantly wider than the text so when the line length varies the text doesn't wrap to a new line.
"Web Safe" fonts are not a single font but actually a list/stack of fonts where the browser goes through the list until it finds a font that's available on the current viewer's device. The fonts in the list/stack are similar in visual appearance and font metrics, but any difference in font metrics is sufficient to result in changes in line breaks, so when using web safe fonts you need to account for much larger variations in line length and line breaking than will occur when using a Web Font.

  • Different display page layout in Display Layout mode and in Preview mode

    Hi everyone,
can anybody help me to understand why it is different display page layout in
    Display Layout mode:
    I have 2 collumns
    and in Preview mode:
    I have only one column
is there some option that I didn"t check in layout page properties?

The only thing you can try, is to have a defined number of lines, where the last line only consists of a few words. That may(!) give enough room for different browser rendering. But there is definitely no guarantee.
You may as well force the text frame to be converted to an image (Place one single character – point, space – out of a system font. This will force Muse to convert the text into an image – thus preventing txt reflow)
