Text From 502 - com.vzwdmserver
I've been getting a text for the last month or so from the number 502. The text includes a number of unknown characters. It ends with com.vzwdmserver. Which made me assume this is a Verizon problem. I've been getting the text at all hours of the day, everyday with the exception of some weekends. I went into a Verizon store and the rep had never seen the texts before. His solution was to delete all the messages (including emails) from my phone and hope it went away. Well, it didn't. After doing some research today I found out I wasn't the only one, and called Verizon tech support. I got passed to three different people, expected. The woman on the phone came back after putting me on hold for a number of minutes to tell me that Verizon has an open ticket on the issue but no solutions have been found yet. She told me to wait until August 16th, as it typically takes their tech team 14 days to figure out the problem, and if the texts have not stopped after that time to call back. You have to just love Verizon. She gave me the "Primary Ticket number" 4487520 to refer to when calling back for the same issue. She said they assume it's an issue with the network board's response to some task being done on your phone... They don't know what the task is (could be simply opening a browser). She said this issue is specific to Thuderbolt.
I was surprised to see no posts on the Verizon forum. I'm a little annoyed by this issue and the response to "wait it out" and call back if you still have an issue in a week. I've been having the issue for at least a month.
Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone had better luck at fixing it than I?
Verizon. You got to help. You know the thunderbolt is the worst phone to ever hit the 4g market. It only last 4-5 hours. Are you kidding me. Who in their right mind sells a piece acrap like this. I have been a 12 year verizon customer. My average bill is 200 a month. I go to join the 4g world and your store sells me the hottest phone out there. The thunderbolt, oh yeah, they forgot to mention i shouldnt leave it turned on. It drains power faster than a nuclear power plant in japan. Iam told to buy extra batteries or get the extended fat battery. Really? That help for a few exrta hours. Still barely made it a 1/2 day with fatty battery. Of course i tuned off apps, turned off 4g.... Did all the tricks. Still no luck. This phone is a over designed piece of power chewing crap and you need to get it out of stores. Please give me a credit on a new phone. Iam a very loyal customer who has never complained. The Htc folks are to blame, but they wont help after 14 days. Your people sold me this phone so i need to ask you to make this right. Look up my account. You'll see that i have never been late on a bill. Iam the perfect high data user that makes you a lot money. Your very nice but uninformed sales folks in boulder, co, sold me a lousy device. What is the point of any smart phone if i have to carry several batteries to work just to get through a 8 hour workday.

I have a Nokia 6120C here that is set up with Mail for Exchange.
Sometimes it send me text messages, usually with meeting reminders. But some of the meetings I'm sure haven't even been set by me.
The messages come into my SMS inbox, and are from +502.
502+ isn't a short text code or anything. Number doesn't exist.
As far as I can see there are no options to receive alerts via text.

No malicious application you might have inadvertedly installed, or someone else has, will survive that.
There are no known covertly installing viruses for S60 3rd Edition/Symbian 9 based devices like the N73, but if you or someone else deliberately installs a malicious app, then nothing can prevent that. However, the operating system does not allow untrusted applications to do bad things.

When I send a text from my iPad, it shows that it comes from my email address. If I then text that same someone from my iPhone it still shows as if its coming from my iPad. How do I stop this?
On your iPhone, go to Settings -> Messages -> Receive At -> Caller ID and make sure the phone number is selected - this will cause new messages sent from your iPhone to appear to come from your iPhone phone number.
(I actually prefer to have my email selected, so that when I message someone from my iPhone and they reply, it goes to both my iPhone and iPad)
Also, when you send a message from your iPhone, make sure you're not replying within an existing conversation (that was created on your iPad and linked to your email). Just start a new conversation (even if it's to the same person) by going to the Messages app, going back to "Messages" (top left corner) if you're already looking at a conversation, and then clicking the Compose icon in the top right. -
If I send a text from my iphone to an iphone user the reply comes into my ipad via imessage. I don't get a text reply on my iphone. Any ideas how to fix?
Yes. On your phone make sure it is set to send messages from your phone number, not your apple id or other email address. That way when they reply it will go to your phone.

after updating my iphone 5 c to the latest iOS version, i am getting texts from some (not all) of my contacts that no longer display the name but only +1 followed buy the phone number. Is there something that needs to be adjusted in the settings to fix ths problem?
Open your contact list and swipe down from the top. You can filter your contact list by account. Anything not in any of the listed contact types is a local contact. It would help if we could narrow down where the contacts were stored previously vs. where they are stored now.

I made my own Apple ID because when I was logged into my dad's my family was receiving my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dad's "find my iphone" app but without signing into his Apple ID on my phone because that was causing them to get my texts. I was told by Apple I could add my device to his by signing into icloud.com but there is no option that I can find to add my device. And I don't want to log back in to his.. Any ideas???
Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

I switched from an iPhone to a Droid and can't receive texts from iPhones now, help?
I switched from my iPhone 4s to a Droid and I do not have that phone anymore. I can not recieve texts from anyone with an iPhone and can not get in contact with my girlfriend or siblings now. I think their phones are trying to send their texts as iMessages to my phone that does not recieve iMessages. How can I just delete my Apple account and recieve texts again?
Sounds like you didn't turn of iMessage on your iPhone before making the switch. If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

ID CS4 slow after pasting text from MS Word
Each time I paste text from a Word document into my ID CS4 document, ID begins to run very slowly. I can't even type properly. Has anyone else seen this?
I have fixed this problem by copying all the text and pasting in the a new document (I thought the document was possibly corrupted). This fixed the problem, but it has happened multiple times now. Much of my information comes from engineers' word documents, so this is not convenient.The best I can tell, it is related to the cross references, and that it happened after pasting was coincedental. It could have been that pasting made a cross referenced section move to another page, so it was trying to update.
The cross references are a little buggy:
EVERY time I create a cross ref from the cross ref menu (in the cross ref window), ID CS4 (with all patches) crashes. If I create them from the Text menu (at the top), it doesn't crash.
If you have a large number of cross refs in a doc, it becomes slow.
When slowness occurs, I have found that updating the cross refs and then resolving all errors in the cross ref window usually clears it up. -

I have searched quite a bit to find a resolution to this problem, with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
I decided to rebuild my inboxes by following this advice: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11704. The rebuild took several hours and at 96% (4 minutes remaining apparently), the indexing froze (that is, after 8 hours, the message was still telling me "4 minutes left"). I forced quit mail, restored the previous Envelope files from the trash, and everything seemed fine.
However, since this failed attempt, I can see and select the message in the center pane and when I click on it to display, I get "Loading" text, but nothing comes up. All messages in my various inboxes have the reloading problem, EXCEPT messages that I downloaded since the aborted rebuild (in other words, there are about 40 messages that I downloaded since I tried the rebuild and I have no problem with these). The other 70,000 messages however wont load, even though I can see them in the centre pane and spotlight has no problem finding them and showing me their contents (when I hover the mouse over the message). When I click on the message in spotlight, mail opens and the loading problem re-occurs.
Since then, based on various suggestions I found for similar issues, I have used Disk Utility to verify and repair permissions and the drive. I used Onix to rebuild the Mail index (that only took about a minute - I am not sure how to interpret this when compared to the hours the rebuild took with Mail). No joy, I still have the same problem. I even restored one of my inboxes via Time Machine and the same issue with loading continues.
I am using ML 10.8.2. I have a combination of IMAP accounts (work) and POP accounts (personal). The issue of loading occurs irrespective of the account.
I am baffled and am now considering migrating to either Thunderbird or Postbox 3 to try and solve my problem. I prefer to stay with Mail. I should note also that I am using MailTags with Mail (http://www.indev.ca/MailTags.html), although I have not used any of the features. I upgraded to ML from SL about 2 weeks ago. It was very smooth and there appear to be no issues (not sure how helpful this is and probably not at all related to this issue).

Can someone maybe point a page containing info on the HTML toolkit for me?It's called the API. Since you are using the HTMLEditorKit and an ElementIterator and an AttributeSet, I would start there.
There is no such API that says "get me all the links", so you have to do a little work on your own.
Maybe you could use a ParserCallback and every time you get a new tag you check for the "href" attribute. -

You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

I no longer have cell phone service but I still use my iphone every day for apps and imessage. Now someone has my old phone number. It seems that this person does not have a iphone. Everytime one of their friends with an iphone tries to text them the message goes to my iphone. I have tried many things to stop this. I took my old phone number off my apple account and I took out my old sim card. But I still am getting texts from other iphones attempting to reach whom ever has my old phone number. HELP please. This person is very popular, at first it was funny now its annoying. I'm sure the person with my old number is even more upset than I since they are actully paying for service.

Unlink a phone number
To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.
Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.

Hi I have downloaded SAPCAR.exe from marketplace (SAPCAR 7.10 -> Windows on IA64 64bit) I have to use this to extract .SAR file. In command window I came to the path with .SAR file and write SARCAR -xvf <filename.SAR> But I got error: 'SAPCAR' is not
