Text getting highlighted and erased by itself

Big Problem with my Mac Book Pro. The cursor moves back as I am typing
text. Sometimes, text will be highlighted and erased.

Peter: I know this will sound silly but it's happened to me - the trackpad on my MBP is very sensitive and if I'm typing quickly I'll sometimes 'drag' my thumb (especially my right thumb as that's the one I hit the spacebar with) over and on the trackpad causing the cursor to move. You may want to consciously keep your thumbs higher when you type and see if this solves the problem.

I am having a problem with typing. When I type fast my text gets highlighted and then deleted or typed over. Im not sure what is wrong. I think it is either a trackpad or keyboard. Any help be great!!

The trackpad on the MB and MBP have a larger surface with more sensors than on previous laptops. As a result, when we type we have other fingers, thumbs etc. making contact with the trackpad and the trackpad receives input we don't intend. It happens to me quite often. So I hit Command + Z to undo and reposition the cursor. We need to train ourselves so that we keep our hands, palms, thumbs or other unnecessary body parts away from the trackpad while typing.

In notes numbers get highlighted and underlined how do I turn that off please

How do I turn highlight and underline off? In notes it does this automatically now when I write number.

Thanks for taking the time to try to help me. . I checked and the Do not disturb is off. The check is still there stopping calls from coming in when phone is locked. Any other ideas? Thanks again!

TYPING AUTOMATICALLY GENERATES MULTIPLE LETTERS AND ERASES BY ITSELF

While texting my keyboard has started to generate multiple letters, periods after words, and to erase letters that I just typed.
I need to retype everything.
is it a bug, is it broken, do I have an incorrect setting?

Try Pulling the Battery out without turning the phone OFF.
Make sure its not connected to anything (cable, charger), Make sure its turned ON, then pull battery out.
OR
It sounds like a software fault. Even more so if nothing is behind the buttons to cause them getting stuck.
You need to download the latest version for your device from the carrier the phone was sold with.
Save the folder to your desktop, double click it to install it your computer. (can take 40 mins to download)
Then you connect up the blackberry and using the program called application loader,(which is built into the desktop manager program that came on the cd) push the new software to the device. Ensure when you see an 'advanced' box, you click into it, to check both check boxes to remove all current installed software.

ARD highlight and erases remote login passwords

When using ARD to log into remote Macs that have screens locked with a password, on several occasions after two or three characters are entered all characters are hilighted and the next keystroke erases the first part of the password. Does anyone know how to fix this error?

I've experinced similar issues in the past. BUT I wasn't even using ARD at the time; I was using logmein. at the time I though maybe a key was stuck down on the keyboard or some one was playing with the keyboard.
I don't remember what I did at the time to work get past the issue. I think I rebooted the computer or typed very slowly with big pauses between each letter.
BUT like brian, I use screen saver with lock. So it's very possible I was at the screen saver lock window when I had the issue. and my box is a 10.8 box.

Texts get "stuck" and won't send without restart. Help.

I have had my S4 for just about 12 months. Over the last 2-3 months I have been having a horrible time sending texts. It is not related to the strength of my signal because it happens EVERYWHERE. In order to send a text that is "stuck", I have to restart my phone and resend my text. I am running on the most current software. Any advice?

Its a software bug with the kitkat update, its easier just to enable airplane mode then disable it

When I type in an address, half way through it switches down the Google window, then if I go back up to the address section, the whole thing becomes highlighted and erases what I have already typed. Very annoying.

The details are in the "question" above. It's really more like a statement.

I am not sure if the switch tab feature can be turned off. I did initially find it a minor irritation, but it does have the advantage if tabs scroll off screen that you are made aware of existing matching tabs, so I have come to see it as an improvement.
I have just tried with firefox4 to make sure and I am able to easily open multiple same tabs by for instance using '''Firefoxbutton -> history'''

Links do not get highlighted in email messages

Hi! I upgraded to version 4.5 on my blackberry 8310 and now the links that I recieve in my emails do not get highlighted and i cant click on them to view the website. Is there anyway to change this?

Usually when that happens to me it's in an HTML formatted email. If I change it to plain text I can click the link. I was assuming it was the same thing happening to you. I'm glad you figured it out.

Long Text getting truncated in IW32

We are using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to createa orders with long text.
When reviewing the long text in the Office integration screen, We can see that all text is there.
If, a user modifies the long text in the long text window of IW32, any text that does not display is lost when the order is saved
If a user modifies teh long text in the office integartion screen, no text is lost.
Any help on the cause and how to prevent this would be appreciated.

in se38 the variable shows full text, but in sapscript, it gets truncated.

What? I can't Highlight and Copy from Webpages???

Why can't I highlight, copy text from webpages?
If I find a URL I want to visit on a page but doesn't have a hyperlink, I want to select it and put it into the URL command line yet I can't even select the text...okay, how about typing it directly to the command line while reading it from the page? Nope, the moment I start typing anything it blocks out the wepage an starts suggesting irrelavent websites!
This is so backwards from using my regular computer! It's suppose to be a business phone, but you can't do any online business on it!

You can copy and paste from websites, press and hold on the text for a few seconds until the text is highlighted and then press and hold on that text and choose copy on the right side. To paste, press and hold and choose paste on the right side.

Text getting cut,while generating the pdf dynamically.

Hi All,
I have a Text Box ,which has a text of ard 19 lines of Font:Arial Narrow and Size:9 in pdf.(Height:131.02pt and width:755.266pt of the text box)
Also I have same in the xdp.
When i dynamically generate pdf using Adobe Document Services(ADS),the text gets cut and the Font also changes.
Kindly help me out.

It looks like unexpected font fallback happened. Do you have "Arial Narrow" on the machine running ADS or do you specify forcing font substitution?

It needs the restrictions passcode. You or someone with physical access to the phone had to set it. It can not set itself.

Is there a way to get the songs back after you do a sync and erase? I no longer have them stored on my harddrive.

Thanks to a wonderful geeksquad agent all my songs have been deleted from my ipod. They had to restore my computer so the ones I downloaded are no longer on my harddrive or in itunes. Is there a way to get the songs back after you do a sync and erase?

If they are on the iPod there are third-party programs that will transfer then to a computer. See:

If they ae not on either the iPOd or the computer they are gone.
