Text in email coming in as attachements?

My brothersis a Verizon user ,so I am. He texts me through my email using the email address my phone number and @vzwpix.com .. when i open the email the text are as an attachment & i have to download it .. Does anyone know how to fix this ?

I am also having this problem with the vtexts now being received as vzwpix and the (email) recipient having to open them up as an attachment. I contacted Verizon last week and troubleshooted for 40 minutes. They just returned my call and have confirmed that there IS an issue with vtext and the new IOS6 system with Apple on the iPhone 4 and 5. They are waiting to hear from Apple as to how to resolve the issue. I will let you know if I hear anything more

Email Delivery Option - Simple TEXT Output is coming as an attachment

I am trying to use R12.1.3 feature "Delivery Option" while Submitting Concurrent Program "Payables Open Interface Import" using FND_SUBMIT with email Delivery Option and email is coming with an attachment (Concurrent Program Output).
Email Body is blank (as expected if Output is coming as an attachment), as per documentation if CP Output is in TEXT Format then Email body should show the Output instead of an attachment.
My Question, is if Output is TEXT why it is coming as an attachment, do I need to Configure something?
I am using and it is working fine(not sure if any of the argument is required to Set "SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE",

Content coming as .txt attachment along with email but not in email body

Hi,
I have a proxy to email scenario. The requirement is to generate an excel sheet and keep it as an attachment and send it to user through email.
I am able to get the excel sheet as an attachment in email but the content of email is also coming as attachment which I do not want.
Problem area :

The Content should come in Email body but it is coming as .txt attachment in email. The email body is blank.
Can someone help as how I can get the content in email body.?

Backspace delete of text in email deletes the email- why. With Lion

I use Mail 5.0 and Mac OS X Version 10.7.1 (Lion). If I open an email and highlight text and go backspace it deleted the email rather than the highlighted text which I think used to be the case. Is there another way to delete part of the text in an email before forwarding? Thanks for any help.

I too have the requirement to modify the content of the email body. Actually i have created one human task which sends the email notification to the Approver. when I check the email, the body of the email does not contain anything. Both the Information header that we give in the Task form and the task details are coming as an attachment to the email.
Could you please let me know, how we can get the Information header as the content of the email and also to customize the Subject of the email as per the requirement.

Receiving text and email notifications while on call

While I'm on a call, I receive text and email notifications (by a sound and a buzz). Is there a way to shut this off, as it's annoying when there are multiple messages coming through.

Sure; go to settings > sounds and set "new text" and "new VM" to off.
Of course this turns them off ALL the time; your only choice ( I am sure there is a hack for this oversight out there somewhere, though)
This is not a business class smartphone ; its an iPhone.

How to use UTL_SMTP to send email with existing file attachment

Hello! I am trying to create a pl/sql procedure that lets me send an email and include an existing file to a email address. So far, I found information on how to send a file and create an attachment with information I put in the procedure. This is NOT what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to send an email and include an attachment for a file that already exists. I need the pre-existing file to be sent to the email recipient.

How to send images and other colored text in email body

Hi
We are using SAP CRM 4.0 and we would like to send email to our customers using actions configured for activity. Our objective is to send Marketing Emails containing <u>Images and Color texts</u> in the BODY OF THE email and not as a PDF attachment.
The only relevant provision we could see in SCOT is either Text or PDF. On using text , we are loosing all images and color. The PDF option works , but the email generated is a blank email with PDF document as attachment.
We want the matter to be inserted in the body of the email and not as attachment.
Please do let us know if any one has faced similar situation and is there a resolution.

Are you pasting in the HTML code?
You can't use the formats in the CRM editor to set bold text, etc. You have to use the HTML code and have set the Form up as Internet mail

A bare minimum is your email has to have the <HTML> tag at the top, but it's advisable to be sure you have a more complete setup like this:

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

No worries. But it is strange that you cannot even send email with a PDF attachment from Microsoft Mail. At this point, no PDF viewers (e.g. Microsoft Reader, Adobe Reader Touch) are involved because you are not viewing PDF files.
Instead of saying "It won't send", you need to describe exactly what you see on the screen for every step. Where does the problem start?
Step 1: Attaching a PDF file to new email in Microsoft Mail
Are you able to find the PDF file and attach it to new email?
Step 2: Sending email with a PDF attachment
What happens when you click the Send button? Does it hang forever? Does it show an error message? Could you confirm that you can send email with other type of attachments (e.g. text file, Word file) from Microsoft Mail from the same PC?
You can provide the details to Microsoft for troubleshooting.
Alternatively, you can try to send email with the PDF attachment from other accounts like Gmail (Google Mail) or Yahoo Mail via the web browser (Internet Explorer) interface.
Sometimes, rebooting your system solves "mysterious" problems, too.

But I believe some FM should be ther to convert SMart form to HTML content. I found SO_OBJECT_SEND FM for adding fixed text in email body which can use HTML format also.
I need another FM to convert SMARTFORM to HTML,later I can use above mentioned FM for embedded in email body.

Mail is sending the body of my email as a .txt attachment

I have a serious problem when I send out an ordinary email, with no attachment. The first line appears as it should.."Dear whoever", and after that the email is blank. This makes me look rather stupid, but if the recipient checks the .txt attachment, they understand my message because the body of text has been punted into an attachment for some reason. I've had this feedback from several people. I use multiple email accounts in mail and I've had the same feedback for different accounts on separate domains. The message appears correct in my sent items, so I have absolutely no way of know that this has happened until the recipient tells me. It seems to be intermittent or not happening in every case.
I would be so pleased if anyone could help me out with this one?

Mail doesn't create .txt files from email messages; it sends exactly what you type. If some of your recipients are claiming they receive .txt files, that would most likely be due to their email client, which no doubt is running Windoze. Only they can solve that problem. If the message is okay in your Sent mailbox, that's exactly what you sent, so the problem is on their end.
