Text in one area of a document is underlining in green instead of black!

I am editing a document in Pages that was originally created in Word. It was all typed in Black originally but now one heading is persistently underlining in Green. I have tried everything possible to get it to underline in black but even deleting the original heading and retyping it is refusing to change from green - I need this answer ASAP as it's a CV and needs sending off for a job application today - any help gratefully accepted!!!!

What version? and is it on iPad or Mac?
1. It may be showing grammar corrections
2. Have you tested printing this to a pdf to see if actually prints to pdf as green?
3. The color of underlining is determined in the Fonts palette:

Is it possible to display text from one area of my website onto another?

I'm busy building a site, and on my site I have a news section on my landing page with latest news. This news section is just the headline, and when you click on the link it takes you to the article. Is there any way to link the two together? I want the news section headline to be drawn from the article, so that when I update the article the news headline will be automatically updated. I want this done because the news headline section goes across all my pages, but I'm using 6 templates to achieve my design. So instead of updating my article section and each template, I want to know if I can do it in one process?
Is there a pure html/css way of achieving this, or would I need to use a JS plugin? If I need a plugin could anyone suggest one?

You place your news code in a separate text file and "call" it into any pages you wish with a tiny snippet of PHP code. This skill will be used far more often than a database. You will use it for all sorts of repetitive information like headers, menus and footers etc.

You can't change the way Pages import .doc files.
It was never written that it reproduce exactly the original one.
From my point of view, as I refuse to give a cent to M...soft, the best way to deal with documents issued by their Office suite is to use the free libreOffice.

When I drop a page into a second document the text and numbers are misaligned. How can I stop this?

I have a master PDF that I am coping pages into from a sub-portion PDF document. When I drop the new page in many characters (text and numbers) are misaligned on the recently added page and some characters have just vanished. I tried converting to PDF/A Mode for one source document and PDF/X Mode for another that seemed to fix the issue.
I'm wondering if there is a better better way, maybe some setting I can change in order to prevent my plain old PDFs from having this character jumbling?

You very likely have fonts embedded in the source file that are not in the new file and that scrambles things. Why not just extract the page from the old document and then do an insert to see if that does the job. Extra work, but it might help identify the problem.

Text Area Trigger Causing Document items to shift

I recently slapped a trigger on a text area in my document. When it is not triggered, it appears that all elements on the page move up to replace the blank space. Is there a way to turn this off for certain elements?

I'm going to guess that you have multiple overlapping text areas where you only expect one to trigger and the other to not. One easy solution is probably to use a Paragraph Selection on a multi-line text field instead of individual text areas that overlap. Instead of a text area, create a MLT field. Create a Paragraph Selection List (PSL) and add your prior text area content as paragraphs. Assign the triggers to paragraphs that you previously assigned to the individual text areas. Have the field use the PSL you created and assign the field with the ParagraphAssembly rule. That will evaluate your triggers during generation and the content you want will fill in and the text will “grow” instead of shrinking. There is an attribute that can be assigned to Paragraph Selection fields if you don't want the user to be able to edit the content - that is if you are kicking the transaction to WIP for local editing.

You are missing one or more photos - youprobably have a page background that requires a photo which is behind a page with photos on it - all pages must either have a photo or be a color - if you have a gray background it requires a photo - look through the book carefully and be sure to look at the background on any full page photos - you will find one or more missing photos

Hi,
I don't know if this can help you, but I had a similar problem while invoking a web service. Eventually, I found out that the server was returning an html error page, and not the expected xml answer.
That's why the client code raises such an error... It means that the MIME type of the anser is text/html (for the html page) and not the text/xml type of the 'nominal' web service answer.
You can verify this by using a proxy to intercept the http request and answer involved in this web service invocation (use Fiddler for instance). Then, you will see that the server responds by sending an html page saying that something is wrong.

I have a new L series notebook and its great. The only foible I can think of is a message I keep getting when I try to shutdown. There is a message box that says "One or more PDF documents are open inside a web browser. If you exit adobe reader now, those documents will be closed. Are you sure you want to exit?".
The thing is I do not have any PDF's or web browsers open at the time! Can you help me please?

Believe me its nothing serious the same happens on my notebook from time to time
Usually the PDF files can be read with the Adobe Acrobat reader. This application service runs in the OS background and this message can appears if the Adobe Acrobat reader cannot close the background process automatically
I have solved this tiny problem by removing the acrobat reader from the system. After new reboot I have reinstalled it again
Now the message does not appear and all runs like a dream ;)

Restart both devices (press the HOME and power button until the Apple logo appears then releasae). If both devices have iMessage turned on and to send as SMS when iMessage is not available, the the green messages are indicative of iMessage not being available on one or both devices.

Page Setup, including page orientation, is done in the File menu. The setting applies to the whole document. As Peter says, you can rotate the contents of a page (not including the text layer of a word processing document).
As an alternative, you could use Numbers, where Sheets are empty canvases onto which you may place images, charts, tables and text boxes, and where page orientation may be set for individual Sheets. The main tradeoff is that you lose many of the built-in word processing and page layout features of Pages.

I'm using an external css document to control the look of my site, and would like to have two differnet types of hyperlink.
One for within the content text, which would be the same size and style as the content text, and one that is BIGGER and BOLDER for 'title' hyperlinks.
At the minute I have one set up for the content text, which is:

How can I set another style up for the title links without affecting the look of the content links??

Pseudo-classes & Descendant selectors is what you're after...
From your example, I would leave those styles for your standard links and would create new rules for the content area and then follow similar for your 'titles' or you could use Headings <h1> are they are actually headings that you want styled.
The following is assuming that you have used a Div or a container with an ID of mainContent.
