Text in shopping cart

hi,
Could any on tell me how to clean up the vendor text that is coming from a punchout external catalog into the Shopping cart..
it is replacing some special charecters with # and every next line with ~.

oops, afetr coffe, nothing... check in badi transfer catalog what is define in ENRICHED_ITEM_LONGTEXT or ET_SC_LONGTEXT if you use new structure. Vadim is right with UTF-8.

Free Text / Catalog Shopping Cart

Hi,
I am unable to distinguish the logic required for Free Text and shopping cart catalog.
On what basis would i distinguish the logic to the workflow.
Can anyone help me in this regards,

Spend limit Approval.
For shopping Cart, How do i create the logic where there would be a distinguishing condition for the above mentioned approval process.

Hi,
If you are using Application Controlled workflow then the starting conditions for each workflow are defined in transaction SWB_COND.
The attribute &_EVT_OBJECT.EXISTFREETEXTLINEITEM& ( &EC Requirement Coverage Request.Free entry exists& ) can be used to to distinguish between free text items and catalog items. In this transaction you can search for the other attributes you wish to use in the start conditions. You can also see the list of attributes via transaction SWO1. Enter Object/Interface Type = BUS2121. Hit display and expand the attributes menu.

The texts have been hard coded in the method "GET_IDENT_TITLE" of the class /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_MAP_IDENT_SC for shopping cart business object.
I hope you can create some Class Enhancements to change the title according to your requirements or there might be other approaches which i am not aware at this moment to modify these texts..

BBP_SC_CHANGE
Here you could use the Changing Parameter
CT_LONGTEXT
The table contains 2 important fields:
TDID, where you can identify the type of text, in your case this should be ITXT for standard shopping carts (vendor text within positions)
TDLINE: which contains the text
You are now able to change the vendor text directly within this BAdi with standard ABAP methods.

Internal note \ Vendor text in shopping cart not getting correctly saved.

Hi SRM folks,
We are at SRM 4.0 with extended classic.
We are facing issue with shopping cart ( BBPSC01 ) for vendor text \ internal note in " Documents and Attachments Tab" in item detail screen as below :
Suppose we enter below three lines in internal note \ Vendor text as:
XXX
AAA
CCC
They will appear as below :
XXX
AAA
AAA
CCC
CCC
Line items are getting duplicated. Please let me know how this can be resolved or if any SAP note available ?

Here is solution :
kindly apply the following notes:
1253076 No Vendor Text Exists Incorrectly Displayed
1289174 Vendor text/Internal Note is not deleted
1313904 Extra Line Breaks are added in Approval Notes
After this please republish all of the Templates with the Report
w3_publish_services.
Afterwards the Template Cache has to be invalidated with the
transaction sitspmon -> Tab "Template and Mime Cache" -> Button
"Systemwide".
If you use Proxy Server, you have to empty the cache there as well.
Furthermore the Temporary Internet Data of the Browse has to be deleted.
Retest the scenario and see if the behavior still persists.
Those note solved the issue

Hi,
If you need to hide the field,you can use badi BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI .
You can also Modify the corresponding HTML template in the ITS service BBPSC01 in SE80 for the reqd field.But the ITS chnages will be oevrwritten in case of upgrade.

Header Text in Shopping Cart

Hi experts!
We developped a Webdynpro ABAP for creating shopping carts in a more effective way. This ABAP has a header & item information. With a function module we transfer all data to SRM5.0 standard shopping cart. Now my question: How can we transfer header information into shopping cart where only item level is awailable? I would like to add a customer field (header text) similar to approval note.

UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION message when creating a Shopping Cart

Hi All,
I would appreciate it if someone could provide an insight to the error message below. It occurs when the user attemps to enter a text decription shopping cart. I have checked the org structure set-up and attributes but am at a loss to to find the reason why we have this error message.
Looking through OSS have not yielded any solution either as the notes related to this error do not appear to be related to Shopping Cart entry,

Hi Mike,
After a first look it seems to be a problem with your backend system.
Check your backend system with the function module : BBP_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GETDETAIL
You can get the value of your backend system in debug or looking in table BBP_PDBEI for corresponding entry of your shopping cart in field be_log_system.
You can get the backend system also in table BBP_BACKEND_DEST or in SPRO going to define backend systems. Correct the error on this system should resolve yourr issue.

Copy fixed text values from shopping cart to PO in SRMSERVER 5.5

Hi,
We use SRMSERVER 5.5 and want to use text schemas with fixed values to allow the user to in the shopping cart select specific predefined texts that should be visible on the output of the PO.
When looking at the IMG documentation for standard text schemas, there is one line saying "Note: The system can only copy the long texts for text types for which no fixed values have been defined in Customizing for the source text schema or for the text type in the follow-on document."
Do you have any idea how we can copy the fixed values to the PO from the shopping cart? I have taken a look at BADI BBP_LONGTEXT_BADI but I am not sure how this badi coudl help for the transfer of fixed values.

Adding a new text field in Shopping Cart screen

Hi,
I am new to SRM and I am working on SRM 5.0
My requirement is to add a text field for buyer's note with unlimited length similar to Approver's note in Shopping Cart screen.
I have seen in the forum that many have done this earlier and i need step by step procedure to complete this task.
I am able to create text field in Text Schema, but this field is not reflecting in shopping cart screen. Do i need to do any thing extra apart from maintaining in Text schema?
Can you please send the detailed procedure to do this task?

Thank you for your help. In fact, i have gone through this link and followed the steps there. But, the Text ID is not reflecting in my shopping cart.
We are using SRM 5.0. The requirement is to add a new text field with unlimited length similar to the existing Approveru2019s note field in Shopping Cart screen at header level.
I have followed the steps mentioned below.
1.Go to SRM IMGSRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Text Schema
2.Execute Define Text Types and then select the entry BBP_PD Text Object and click on Text Type.
Here, create new entry for ID as ZHTXT and Description and save it.
3.Execute Define Text Schema and then select the existing Text Schema SC ( Shopping Cart) and click on Texts for Schema.
Here, assign the newly created Text ID with details Header/Item etc.
4.I am not executing the last step Define Fixed Values for Texts, as the Text Schema SC is already assigned Transaction Type Transaction Type SHC.
Please suggest do I need to perform any extra steps apart from Text Schema to reflect the Text ID which I created in my Shopping cart screen? Or do we need to code anything on ITS side?

Hi,
You can try with the TEXT schemas, you can configure this as i mentioned below:
First, you need to create a text schema since BBP_PD_PO SPRO --> Supplier Relationship Management --> Cross aplication Basic Settings --> Text Schema --> Define Text Schema.
There you can create your own text schema with the characteristics that you want for example: If you want that text schema appears in the header of the document or in the item or both, If you want that text schema is able for modifications or is only a view ....................
Secod, when you have the name of your text schema you need to asign for the document that you want in
PD_PO SPRO --> Supplier Relationship Management --> Cross aplication Basic Settings --> Define transaction types for every document type you can specify the text schema that you want to assign.
If this solution doesn´t solve your issue maybe you can create a custom field ("Z") with data type "LRAW" this type is very big.

Unable to create PO in backend system for a text material in Shopping cart

When I am approving a shopping cart with text material(ie without material/product/goods), I am getting PR instead of PO. Please explain the settings for getting PO.

1. Enter the organizational unit and/or the category.
2. Enter a source system.
3. Choose the procurement type.
Reservation if stock is available, otherwise external procurement
The system creates a reservation if the material is subject to inventory management and sufficient stock quantity is available in the warehouse on the requested date.

The system creates a reservation if the material is subject to inventory management, irrespective of whether stock is available.

The system does not create a reservation, but always procures the item externally. In this case, you specify the type of external procurement.
The following options are significant if the system cannot create a reservation (for example, if there is no stock available or for a non-stock item) or the system must not create a reservation (choose Always external procurement).
Purchase order if item data complete, otherwise purchase requisition
The system always tries to create a purchase order. If the item data is incomplete (for example, the vendor or price is not known), the system creates a purchase requisition from the item.
Always purchase requisition
The system always creates a purchase requisition.
Always local purchase order
The system always creates a local purchase order.
