Text in Transaction FBL5N gets overwritten

Hello expert,
When text has been entered in field BSEG-SGTXT in transaction FBL5N, this text is overwritten with the reason code description when I enter a reason code.
I entered the reason code in transaction FBL5N- Additional data - field BSEG-RSTGR.
How can I prevent that the original text is overwritten?
I want to keep both texts.

How can I prevent that the original text is overwritten? - Follow path below and activate the check box 'Do not copy text ' for that reason code.
Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Incoming Payments>Incoming Payments Global Settings>Overpayment/Underpayment>Define Reason Codes.

Populate long text in transaction QM01

Hi,
I'm trying to populate long text in transaction QM01, meaning, when the user creates a new notification, a constant text should appear automatically.
I currently use enhancement QQMA0007 user exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_001.
I found FM IQS0_ADD_NOTIFICATION_LONGTEXT which works fine when the notification already exists, but when creating a new notification I still have no number to put in the FM parameters.
Does anyone has an idea?

Hi Hagit,
First, in the userexit that gets triggered when saving the notification, call a subroutine via PERFORM .... ON COMMIT.
In this subroutine, you will put the code to update the text and access the notification number using field symbols.
When a subroutine is called ON COMMIT, it means that the subroutine waits in memory until the transaction issues a COMMIT WORK. Once the transaction has issued a COMMIT WORK, the subroutine is called.
At this point, the notification number will have been generated.
In this subroutine, put a break point so you can examine all the memory areas to find the notification number. I suggest that the field VIQMEL-QMNUM in program SAPLIQS0 should have it [type (SAPLIQSO)VIQMEL-QMNUM in the watch fields to check its contents].
As an alternative, whilst looking at the transaction, I noticed some BADIs, the BADI CL_EX_NOTIF_CREATE_OBJ looks promising. Have you tried this one? Maybe the notification number is passed to you here.

[SOLVED] Clipboard gets overwritten on simple selection

Hello!
I'm facing a very annoying bug: I'm used to use a clipboard manager. I started using parcellite. After some time of usage, suddenly the behavior of the clipboard changes. Every time I select some text in e.g. Eclipse, geany, Firefox, ... the clipboard content gets overwritten. When I now press Ctrl+V the previously selected text gets inserted. When I copy selected text with Ctrl+C, double click on text I want to replace, press Ctrl+V, nothing happens because it uses the selected text to insert which is, in this case, the same.
Currently I'm trying xfce4-clipman-plugin, but the same bug applies here too. It's not buggy when I freshly started Openbox, the bug occures after minutes of operation.
Anybody an idea?

I found the solution!
I started each application I'm currently using one by one and tested it. It seems that TigerVNC is causing this bug. I activated the option "Send primary selection & cut buffer as clipboard" (I think this is the english equivalent to the german option "Primäre Auswahl und Ausschneidepuffer als Zwischenablage senden"). As soon as I deactivated this option, everything works fine!

I deleted some of my text message histories to get rid of 'other' space (6.33 gb). They were gone from iMessage, but they still showed up in search, so they were still taking up space on my phone. I synced my iPhone (4s) but the messages are still there.

How can I get rid of these texts for good and have more space on my phone? 6.33 gb of other space is way too much, thats almost half of my overall available space (13.5 gb.) I don't want to reset my phone and lose all my other texts/ app progress/ photos. I do have backups, but when I restore from the backup the other space comes back along with everything else. What can I do to get rid of this other space and the 'deleted' text messages? (I'm running iOS 6.1.3 if that helps)

I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

I have deleted this proposal, and then, I could create a post with clearing.

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

I am working in a roll out project and facing issue in text repeating twice for the line item in the Purchase Order for the new company code for which rollout is happening
Issue:

01) PO Text is maintained in the material master under "Purchase Order Text" tab
02) The PO text that is maintained in material master is getting updated in the Purchase Info. Record
03) When Purchase Order is created, the "Item Text" gets updated in the Purchase Order automatically only for the new company code for which rollout is happening. when printed, this results in the text getting duplicated twice
03.1) this behavior is not observed in the Plants/ Company code that is already Live
Configurations in the system:
The copying rules for the "Texts for Purchase Orders" is
Source Object = "Info Record", Source Text="Purchase Order Text", Fix="*"
We have modified the Purchase Order form to print one of the condition types maintained for calculating the tax. Other than this there is no change to the plants that are already live.
I could not locate any "Purchase Organization" / "Company Code" / "Plant specific configuration.
Am I missing any configuration or where can I look in what is causing this error.
Request help from the experts in the forum.

There is no company/purchasing/plant specific customizing for purchase order text.
The customizing copying rules for the "Texts for Purchase Orders" affects all equally .
If the text in the purchase order in ME23N is already filled different to other plants, then you either have a modification in place, or the texts are differently maintained in the referenced data (vendor, material, info record, contract)

Standard text in transaction...

Hi i'm new in sdn, and i must tell you that my English is not so good by this days. Im learning little more every day.
My problem is that i need to change some standard text in transaction FCH5. i wonder if i can change for example a text in a field saying "section" to "date of collection", because i need to reuse a field to put some extra data, that is essential for my funtionality...

U can change the Standard text if uknow the object name in SO10. if u have to change the text in transaction then u can do it by using Function modules Read text and save text.
