Text infopackage in ACR

Hi ,
I'm just confused do we need to enter text infoobject in Attribute change run variant or only attributes infopack needs to be their.
Pls advice

Hi Rubane,
Text data does not need activation. To test this, you can load attribute into a master data and activate this and it works. Now load text and try to activate it, you will get a message that the master data is already active. This shows that Text load does not need activation.
You could read some SAP helo documentation to understand this clearly. it is difficult to explain the theory here.

Problems for Infopackage setting for Hierarchy Load

Hello Masters,
I have a problem, in editing the setting for Hierarchy Infopackage, I was asked to reset the Processing mode of infopackage directly into Infoobject, instead of PSA and then into Subsequent Data targets.
But here, i am unable to edit the setting because, every thing is gryed out. Only option selected before is "Only PSA, and then Update in subsequent Data Targets"
I have a question, like is it mandatory setting for Hierarchy Infopackage, to Update in PSA and then into Data Targets.
As i was able to edit settings for Attribute, and Text Infopackages even though these are in Process chains.
Could any one please help, if it is possible to edit Hierarchy Infopackage, instead of creating a new one.

Hi,
I have checked, the transfer rules, The Transfer Method used is PSA. I have to reset this infopackage directly to Infoobject, because this process chain runs for every four hrs, and it increases PSA size in tons.
Hence, i was asked to reset the setting for infopackage. But it is gryed out.

Technical Content - Delta Initialization

Hi,
While loading the Technical Content data, Do I need to run the Transactions - Delta Initialization infopackages everytime before I run the delta info packages.

Hi AHP,
I have executed both with text / without text infopackages for both 0TCTTQUERY & 0TCTQUERID.
I also checked the query by displaying key and name. Is is showing as #.
Post that I checked the Statistics cube. In cube some rows are blank without any query name, infocube name. But the frequency is having the value. May be because of this it is showing in the report.

Dataload fail

Hi Gurus, I see that a load has failed with "error 4 in update". It is a text infopackage loaded for master data infoobject. Looks like there might be invalid character that might be causing this error message. I do not see the option to go to PSA from the monitor nor when I go to PSA from RSA1, I see the PSA request for this infosource. Where can I go to fix this problem?

You cannot correct this on BI side if the load is not thru PSA.
Do this - Go for " From PSA to datatarget " load will fail after running.
Now u can go to PSA from RSMO -Find the error record correct it - Right Click on Req - Update with scheduler

ACR 5.4 Beta shows up with Japanese Text

hi:
1. i just downloaded--> installed ACR 5.4 beta and DNG.
2. the DNG looks normal (ie just like the prior version etc...).
3. however, when i open up ACR, everything is in japanese text, including the photoshop headers etc... no big deal at this time, because i'm sure this is going to be fixed and i know what all the sliders are about etc...    but just an FYI.

2. as per what the other person noted--> what you suggested isn't that easy (basically i'm stuck).
3. first of all, i was able to find--> download a prior version or ACR--> manually placed it in the correct spot--> fired up a RAW file--> everything looks normal (ie english text etc...).
4. i then downloaded ACR 5.4 and proceeded with the reinstall.   however at this point, the installer said that i couldn't install 5.4 because it was already installed in my cpu.    i manually looked as well as did a search for camera raw 5.4 in spotlight--> couldn't find it.    i also searched adobe photoshop help in re: unstalling things--> nothing.
5. thus the question is: how in the world do i uninstall camera raw 5.4 (i'm not even sure it's in my cpu but the installer thinks it is etc...).

6. by the way, while i'm at it, in adobe bridge, 5.4 doesn't recognize my Olympus E-620 raw files (ie can't see the thumbnail image), but when i actually open up the image in ACR--> the image is there etc... thus, there's also funky going on with bridge.

Acr 9 Pro: Text editing stopped working

Out of the blue, the ability to highlight or underline text in pdf documents stopped working. I have tried different documents with the same issue. Tried a software upgrade/install, computer reboot, etc etc. Ideas?

No. But the red arrow and line tools still work. I just tried the text highlights on a random document and it worked.. but many of my documents, it doesn't work. All of the documents are research studies downloaded from a college library.

Is there a way to create an RGB curve preset in ACR that WON'T affect separate R G B curve settings?

I'm currently try to create an RGB curve that produces a fade to the picture. Outside of this I would like to save it as a preset for just the MAIN RGB curve because I have images that have custom separate R G B curve settings. I can't seem to do this AT ALL. I've viewed the XMP data in text editor and the only adjustments that are there are for the main tone curve yet it STILL ends up flatten my separate R G B curve adjustments.
This doesn't seem to be an issue in Lightroom yet I can't get it to work in ACR. BTW I'm using PS CC 2014 with ACR 8.6. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Is there some code I could input into the XMP text so that it would NOT do this?

Yes... this is possible in Lr... but doesn't seem possible in ACR for some strange reason.

Corrputed loaded text from an Export Datasource with Unicode

Hi Experts
I am new with BW and this forum helped me a lot in the past year.
I am loading texts to an InfoObject using a Master Data (texts) Export DataSource from another InfoObject. The system is NetWeaver 2004s (BW 3.5) with Unicode.
The InfoObject's Text MD is Language Dependent but users enter the system only with EN language.
For some reason the loaded texts are corrupted.
For example: The original InfoObject has Hebrew texts (that were loaded perfectly from the source system which is also Unicode), but the text in the PSA table and in the text table of the target InfoObject will be: ###########

Let me explain:
Currently, we load texts with Hebrew chars from the SAP ECC6 system and everything is good (we see Hebrew chars in SAPGUI/BEx/WAD etc.)
The problem occurs when we load these texts from one InfoObject to another, via Export DataSource.
To do that, We generated an Export DataSource for the original InfoObject and assigned it to the target InfoSource of the other InfoObject. After running an InfoPackage for this DataSource, the texts that were loaded to the PSA (and hence, to the target InfoObject texts table) were corrupted - which means that they appeared: ##########

Error while scheduling in infopackage!!

Heya all,
     i need immediate help in this area.Plz help me out.I am having these problems
I created infoobjects IO_MATNO(from fufu book   example)and created 2 infopackage 1 for attr and another for text and tried loading them.Everything went well and got activated but when i tried scheduling it said data requested..i clicked monitor and then it showed me yellow light with 3 warnings saying:

Error while opening infopackage

Hi,
I get a short dump when i open infopackage for 2LIS_02_SCLdelta/
MESSAGE_TYPE_X.
Information on where terminated
    Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRSS1" - in
     "RSM1_CHECK_FOR_DELTAUPD".
    The main program was "RSAWBN_START ".
    In the source code you have the termination point in line 1530
    of the (Include) program "LRSS1F11".
I am not understanding this dumo and that to i am not starting the load but just opening infopackage and getting this dump. Pl help me in resolving this.

Summary
Symptom
If a MESSAGE_TYPE_X runtime error occurs in the LRSSMU36 include program in the SAPLRSSM ABAP program of the RSSM_OLTPSOURCE_SELECTIONS function module, proceed as described in the solution below.
This dump occurs if you try to open an InfoPackage for a DataSource/source system combination for which an initialization terminated incorrectly and a new INIT with overlapping selections was executed without the delta-administration being cleaned up.
The dump can also occur if you import a system copy/backup into only one of the two BW/OLTP systems without first deleting all delta queues for this BW/OLTP combination because the delta administration is always inconsistent. In such cases, contact the SAP consulting department.
A similar dump occurs in
perform "RSM1_CHECK_FOR_DELTAUPD in the LRSS1F11 include if the source system does not recognize any more inits (the roosprmsc and roosprmsf tables are empty) but if there are still entries in the RSSDLINIT/RSSDLINITSEL tables in the BW system.
This is the same as the problem described in Notes 424848 and 591382.

Dump, include LRSSMU36, RSSM_OLTPSOURCE_SELECTIONS, MESSAGE_TYPE_X,
Init, delta queue, system copy, backup, initialization, InfoPackage,
RSM1_CHECK_FOR_DELTAUPD, LRSSMU36, LRSS1F11,
RSSDLINIT, RSSDLINITSEL, RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE.
Reason and Prerequisites This problem is caused by a program error.
Solution
You can implement this correction only for load times from an OLTP system because transaction RSA7 is used for the delta administration/deletion.
For a DataMart, you may have to delete using transaction SE16 or a native SQL.
1. The entries for the initialization in the BW system are contained in the RSSDLINIT table for the DataSource/source system combination. Compare these with the entries in the ROOSPRMSC table in the OLTP system.
2. If there are NO entries in the RSSDLINIT table in BW, use transaction RSA7 to delete the delta queue for this DataSource/BW application combination in the source system (OLTP). For a DataMart source system, manually delete the entries in the ROOSPRMSC and ROOSPRMSF tables for your DataSource using transaction SE16 or a native SQL on the database. A DataMart can be identified by the DataSource that starts with '8', and by the fact that you CANNOT find it in RSA7 of the source system.
3. If the RSSDLINIT table in the BW system already contains entries, check the requests listed there in the RNR column in the monitor (transaction RSRQ). Compare these entries with the entries in the ROOSPRMSF and ROOSPRMSC tables with the INITRNR field. If, in the ROOSPRMSF and ROOSPRMSC tables for your DataSource source system combination, there are more entries with different INITRNR numbers, use transaction RSA7 in an OLTP source system to delete all entries and then use the RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE report mentioned in the next section. For a DataMart source system, delete the entries that you cannot find in the RSSDLINIT table using the procedure described above.
4. Read also Notes 591382 and 424848. The errors described there also occur if you delete entries using transaction RSA7 in the source system but there is no RFC connection to the BW system. In the source system, there are no more entries in the ROOSPRMSC and ROOSPRMSF tables, but in the BW system, there are still entries in the RSSDLINIT and RSSDLINITSEL tables. Execute the RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE report and then delete all init selections in the 'Scheduler/Init selections in the source system' menu in the InfoPackage.
5. When you have completed this procedure, you should be able to create a new InfoPackage or open an InfoPackage.
You can then open the InfoPackage again.
Check that there are no more entries in the
'Scheduler'/'Initialization options for source system' menu
If you do find some entries, delete them.
You can then start a new initialization.
If, despite the first incorrect init, you want to be able to create a second init with overlapping selections, which means that this dump will then occur, enter a detailed description of your procedure in a customer message and send it to Development. SAP has never been able to reproduce this behavior, therefore, a great deal of testing and the option to debug in your system would be required.

Reason and Prerequisites
The following conditions must be met:
1. The DataSource that is extracted using this InfoPackage must be a delta-capable transaction data DataSource or a master data or text DataSource if there is flexible updating of InfoObjects in BW. Additional prerequisites are listed below (there are several cases in which the dump may occur):

4. A subset of the initialization selections was deleted before the dump.(Scheduler -> Menu scheduler -> Initialization selections source system)
5. The RSSDLINIT table in BW and the ROOSPRMSC table in the source system display different entries concerning the DataSource in question. More precisely: The RSSDLINIT table contains entries for the DataSource that have no corresponding entry in the ROOSPRSMC.
Case 2.
Alternatively, the problem may occur after a BW 12B upgrade.
Case 3.
Alternatively, the problem may occur if you have copied your OLTP system.
Case 4.
Alternatively, the problem may occur if you have installed a back-up in the OLTP system but not in BW.
Case 5.
Alternatively, the problem may occur if you load master data with flexible updating as a delta requests (0MATERIAL_ATTR, 0VENDOR_ATTR, 0CUSTOMER_ATTR and others).
Solution
You can apply note 0424848 if you are sure that this behavior only occurred because an upgrade was carried out 1.2B to 2.0B or 2.1C (Case 2) and, therefore, the roosprmsc and roosprmsf tables do not contain any entries for their Datasource/source system combination.This will copy the entries from BW into the source system and fill the roosprmsc and roosprmsf tables.
You can also use this solution for case 5 (as a workaround; the final solution is currently in progress).
IMPORTANT: You must only use this program in case 2 or case 5. We recommend that you do not use it in any other case as it may lead to data inconsistencies in BW.
If the problem is caused by individually deleted Delta Inits (Case 1), then implement the following steps according to your source system release:
1. As of 4.0B
Currently the only solution is reinitializing the delta update.To eliminate all inconsistencies, call the transaction RSA7 in your source system and delete the corresponding DataSource's delta queue for the relevant BW system.After that you must request the data again in the DeltaInit mode from BW.
If you no longer have any entries in the delta queue (RSA7) in OLTP, the inconsistencies must be eliminated by SAP BW support service.
The next PI patch contains a correction that no longer deletes all initialization selections in the source system when the deletion of a subset is called in the scheduler.
Alternatively you can import the correction instructions provided in this note into the OLTP.
2. 3.1H and 3.1I
The only way of eliminating the inconsistency is to reinitialize the delta update.In the scheduler menu, delete all the remaining initialization selections and reload data in 'Initialization of delta process' mode with or without the 'Simulation of delta initialization' flag.
If you can no longer access the scheduler because of a dump displaying this problem, ask your system consultant to implement note 419923.
If the problem is caused by a system copy (Case 3):
Ask your system consultant or SAP Support service to clean up the BW delta tables (the consultant can find the names of the tables in Note 419923 mentioned above) because you will have to reinitialize the delta again in all cases.
OR
Execute the FM "RSS1_QUEUE_DELETED_IN_OLTP", by giving OLTP source & logical system.
In RSSDLINIT table in BI entry for this datasourceROOSPRMSC table in OLTP.

Error while loading Masterdat attributes and text in sap BI 7.0

I am new to sap BI, in this my first task and it is loading master data attributes and text into datatargets,I did it in SAP BW 3.5,
It is ok
But i got error in BI 7.0
The error is while loading master data attributes and text in master data targest(using insert charcterstic as a infoprovider)every thing is OK up to infopackage creation step,
Andthe data loaded properly into PSA,
But not into Data targets(i mean here data is not load into datatargets)
After i create infopackage
I created DTP wit settings
Extraction Mode:full
Error handlig: Valid records update,no Reporting(request red)
and i click on activate and on Execute push button
error occurred when i click on "Adminstrative data targets " icon
And the error shows in DTP REQUEST 108 Screen
and it is

**Redcolour: end of master data update**
**Redcolour Message for datarecords saved request is red acc to configuration**

Text Data source for Classification Data

Hi BW Gurus, Ajay Das and Kishore helped me very well on this, just last step doubt. In r/3 system I have added the char tYPE AND kyf TYPE CHARACTERISTICS to classification data now it has generated the Classification customer attribute data source 1CL_0CUSBMW01 and I see the text datasources generated afor char type characteristics in /NCTBW such as 1CL_AABMW01,1CL_AABMW03, etc.. now when i go back to BW
i see the customer attribute data source 1CL_0CUSBMW01 and also text datasources generated in datasource overview, but when i go infosource tab in rsa1 I WAS INTstructed to create the infopackage on 0customer for customer attribute data source 1CL_0CUSBMW01 AND load the data now I " Have a doubt I think I also have to create 4 more infopackages and specify the text datasources generated for the characteristic added in CTBW ex 1CL_AABMW01,1CL_AABMW03. to load the text for the characteristics. please clarify asap if it is required to create all these text infopacks to load the text datasource to respective infoobject or just customer attribute data source 1CL_0CUSBMW01 infopack will take careof every thing, beacuse my manager did not told me to create the text infopack so how will the text get loaded for the infoobject

1CL_0CUSBMW01 is the DS containing 0CUSTOMER and the two (or more) characteristics I assume. This has to be used to update 0CUSTOMER. You can either use the existing infosource, or, create a new one to do this. You will then need a new infopackage to run this.
Let us say one of the characteristics also has text, and you want to bring that to BW using generated DS 1CL_AABMW01. You will replicate it, and use it to update texts to infoobject XXXX (whatever this characteristic is, in BW). This will not be used to update 0CUSTOMER.
Let us say your class char was COLOR. Its values were 1,2,3,4,... and the associated text was Red, Green, Blue...
Now, based on the above, 0CUSTOMER will have an attribute COLOR which will have values in Attr table as 1,2,3,4...
The text table for characteristics COLOR will have values as
1--Red
2--Green
3--Blue.....
The text will NOT go to 0CUSTOMER if that is what you are asking.

Error in Process Chain while loading Master data text?

Hello All
Having a Process chain and having 5 infopackages(Master data Attri & text)with FULL LOAD with an processing options as PSA and Infobject.In this one of the infopackage failed and the status is in red colour,and when I right clicked there is no <b>repeat</b> option?Now <b>how to run this process</b>?
Heard that v can restart the process in debug screen?can anyone let me know how to do this?

Hi dear,
you don't find the repeat option because this is a full load...I think you can easily restart the entire PC (or loading directly the failed infopackage from RSA1), because full loads for master data don't cause any data duplication !

How to get key and text value of field "TNDRST" in VTTK from R/3 into BI

There is one field call "TNDRST(Tender Status)" in SAP table VTTK in R/3. We can find key value, but we are unable to find text for this field in VTTK. However we can see text value if we double click domain:TNDRST and go to value range.
Questions, how to get key value and text of TNDRST together in BI. Do we need to create a master data source for TNDRST text information in R/3 and extracting into BI, if yes, how to? Are there any easy way to do it??

You need to create a generic Text Datasource to extract this information into BI System.
1. Create a generic DS based on Table: DD07T
2. The fields should be put in the extract structure.
          DOMNAME (Make this as Selection in the DS ) -
Filter the Domain Name
          DOMVALUE_L -
Key Value of Tender Status
          DDTEXT -
Text / Description
          DDLANGUAGE -
Language
3. DD07T is the table with all the Domain names & their values, so in the Infopackage enter the Selection Value for DOMNAME as 'TNDRST' and then run it.
Or you can create a view out of this table based on DOMNAME filter as 'TNDRST'.
