Text input - how set an automated space after each word?

When typing in text and using the qwerty assisted text - how can i get it to automatically add a space after each word? My Droid original did that automatically... Thanks

I have confirmed that this feature was not included with the basic software package of the Incredible 2.

    As you're buing a new MacBook Air, it will come pre-installed with Lion.  The actual installation will be somewhat larger than a "clean" Lion install as it will come with iLife preinstalled.  Obviously, with an Air's limited storage space, you want to be sure that you have enough room for any applications and data that you'll want to keep on the SSD as well.  It is fairly easy to upgrade the SSD on an Air:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/Aura_Pro_Express
    The amount of RAM you have installed is probably more important.  Fortunately, the newest 13" MacBook Airs all come with 4GB standard now.

  • Pages for iPad - how do I create space after a paragraph?

    All I want is one line space after each numbered paragraph in a document.
    When I press return twice, the numbering restarts!
    Help.
    Thanks.

    On the iPad, documents are saved directly in the app in which they are created. Your Pages documents are saved automatically as you work  on them. If you quit working on the document right now, your progress is saved on that file. No need to save like you would on a computer.
    When you close Pages and come back to it later - all of your documents will be listed in thumbnail view on the first screen. Tap on the document that you want to work on and it will open.
    There is a help feature within the app. Tap on the wrench icon in the upper right corner and select Help from the resulting menu.

    If you are unable to enter the passcode into your device, you will have to restore the device to circumvent that passcode.
    Is the music purchased from iTunes? If it is you can contact iTunes support and ask them to allow you to re-download the music that you purchased from iTunes.
    Also, do you sync the device regularly? When syncing an iPod Touch/iPhone a backup file is made. That backup file doesn't contain your music but it does contain your address book, application data, pictures, notes, etc. After restoring your device, you can try restoring from the last backup that was made of your device so you will not have to start over completely from scratch.
    Hope this helps!

  • SVN Tab Complete issues (space after each complete)

    Morning all,
    I've got a weird issue with my SVN tab complete using Bash, it adds a space after each item it completes - for example: Say there is a directory 'foobar' with a file 'zomg' within that, I'd type 'svn add fo' and then hit tab - however, this results in 'svn add foobar ' (note the space). This is highly annoying, as I can no longer hit 'z' then tab to complete it to 'foobar/zomg', I have to remove the space, then go again (it does it for everything, so adding something like 'foobar/zomg/wtf/bbq' is a nightmare.)
    So far it only does it with Bash, I've not been able to test it on other shells. Subversion 1.4.6-4 on an up-to-date Arch install with core, extra and community repos enabled (however it has done it from the very start of me using Arch, so it's not a recent update that killed it).
    Regards,

  • Name of Filename getting padded with + after each word while saving it

    Hi all,
    We are upgrading from EP6 SP16 to EP7 SP10.
    In one of our application we have a link on click of which an XML is generated while saving that XML the name for that XML file name is getting padded with <b></b> after each word like <b>XMLformat001.xml</b> and that XML is getting saved as <b>XMLfor+mat001.xml.</b> instead of XMLformat001.xml.
    Please help us out
    Thanxs in advance

    Hi,
    From language was English. To language was Spanish.
    While copying to language text, I had left blank spaces after every Spanish word. The blank space was becoming \r\n while getting displayed in portal.
    The issue got sorted out once I removed blank spaces after Spanish word.
    Thanks

  • Pass text input to Shell using automator.

    Hello again Apple Community!
    What I am trying to do is use automator to promt the user for information like a username and password and then pass that information through a shell command to create a generic keychain item.
    What I have so far is an Automator "Ask for text" getting the username and the script I have so far is:
    on run {input, parameters}
      do shell script "security add-generic-password -a" & input & "-s servicename -w IAMZPASSWURD"
    end run
    But it will not take the input and include it in the shell script. Any ideas?

    I found the solution! It is a very very sublte mistake. Now Ive got it broken up into 4 chunks to build the command, though I'm sure it could be combined if needed.
    Get username:
    on run {input, parameters}
              tell me to activate
              display dialog "What is your username?" default answer ""
              set input to text returned of result
              return input
    end run
    Add username to shell command(I initially missed the space between the -a and the quote and the -w and the quote):
    on run {input, parameters}
              set thevariable to input
              set theScript to "security add-generic-password -a " & thevariable & " -s keychainitemname -w "
              return theScript
    end run
    Get password and add to end of command:
    on run {input, parameters}
              set theScript to input
              tell me to activate
              display dialog "What is your password?" default answer ""
              set ACP to text returned of result
              set keychaincan to input & ACP
              return keychaincan as string
    end run
    Finally, send the Shell Command:
    on run {input, parameters}
      do shell script (input)
              return input
    end run
    Hope this helps anyone trying to accomplish this same thing!

  • Text Input: How To Perform Procedure on Console Input Without Variables

    Problem Defined:
    Need to analyze text input on console to ensure it meets conditional statements before assigning to a variable.
    I can't find a method to take scanner input from the console without first assigning it to a variable. I don't want to assign it to a variable unless it meets a certain condition.
    This is for a class assignment and I must use the console for input--no dialog boxes.
    This is what I want to do:
    Read Input; Hold In Memory; Test if Null; Test if Length is 14 Digits; Assign to Acct if All Conditions Are Met
    If Null, tell the user he needs to actually enter input or q to quit. Exit after five failures.
    If input is not equal to 14 digits, inform user. Offer escape with q. Exit after five failures.
    I only know how to assign a value to a variable from the various methods that take input. How do I take input and store it in memory to analyze without assigning it to a variable?
    I have this and the code is probably not correct. I'm a rank newbie. I've written several programs, but they're all basic, mostly using only the methods I learned in class and what I pulled out of books. My prof doesn't even intend on going over if, for and while! She's happy with us just copying verbatim and editing one or two lines so the source isn't exactly what she wrote on the board. I'm trying to learn how to do things that I know are useful, like making sure input is in the proper format, asking questions like what did people use before scanner just gets me blank responses with a quizzical look, but no answer.
    new Scanner = console scanner (system.in);
    String Acct
    Acct = console.next();
    if Acct == null . You entered nothing. Try again or press q to exit.");
    return to Line 1 //No idea how to do this.
    if Acct == 'q'
    Close Program
    if length.Acct = 14 ( Acct = Acct )
    else System.out.print("Your account number is 14 digits. You didn't enter 14 digits. Try again. Or press q to quit.")
    goto Acct = console.next
    Also, if you need to read an address from the console entered on one line, what methods can you use to pull one word at a time and then position them onto multiple lines?
    Enter Address: 123 Main Street Apt 321 Port View, FL 32547
    123 Main Street
    Apartment 121
    Port View FL
    32547
    Any help putting this together would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    possibly assign it to another variable (or more likely, ask the user for valid input if the checks don't pass).
    You can use loops and other constructs to keep asking for user input until valid values are provided.

    32547Well that depends. How do you know that the street is "123 Main Street" and not "123 Main Street Apartment" or "123 Main Street Apartment 121".
    You can get the whole String from the user and then split the String into smaller Strings _if_ you can answer the question on the previous line.

  • How do I remove space after paragraph?

    Does Robohelp have the "Remove Space after paragraph" button for reducing the space between lines, like the one in Word?

    In HTML the space after is controlled by the style in your CSS file. You need to edit the style in the Style Editor.

  • How to reclaim the space after delete

    Hi All,
    Today we deleted large number of rows from one table, but we didn't get free space after that. So for testing purpose, I have created one test tablespace with 5mb size .Created a table and inserted n number of rows in that table and made the tablespace full.I checked in dba_segments(5mb) and dba_free_space tables.It shows perfectly.After that I deleted all the records and try to create a simple table,but it returns (ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment).I read some time back in tom's forum that delete willn't reclaim the space ,instead it will go to freelist of table..Is there any way to reclaim the space?(after delete)
    and also I used to see the tablesize by using dba_segments table.but now it shows 5mb of size for the empty table.Is there any query to get the exact table size?Please help me to understand the concept.

    Thanks,JvelDELETE simply deletes the specified rows. The blocks/extetents that were allocated to hold those rows remain allocated. The theory is that if the table once needed sufficient blocks/extents to hold 'x' rows, it may need so again at some time in the future. Allocating and de-allocating extents is a pretty expensive operation, so oracle is not going to waste time and resources constantly doing that just because you delete rows, which is a perfectly normal DML operation. Unless you don't expect that table to grow again, I'd not waste my time trying to reclaim the space.

  • Lost disk space after each reinstall.

    I've had to reinstall leopard on my macbook three times in the last week for different reasons. After each reinstall(erase and install) it appeared that I lost a little more GB to the HDD. I have a 250GB HDD, and I know it actualls reads as 232.87, but without uploading any media and only using the reinstall disks that came with the box, I have only 218 or so GB. Is this normal? I can't find the numbers anywhere; they just don't add up.

    My guess is that you have added up the sizes of the folders visible in Finder at the root level of the drive (Applications, Library, System, & Users) & compared that total to the total space used on the drive. The two numbers will not match because there are also hidden files & folders at the root level of the drive that Finder does not normally show. The hidden items are necessary for the proper operation of the Mac & in normal use are managed by the system. Since users should not tamper with them directly without good reason & it requires expert knowledge to do so without breaking anything, they have been made invisible in the Finder view.
    It is normal for the drive space used by these items to fluctuate, & for the total to grow somewhat after first installing the OS. Some of the items contain temporary files that are created & destroyed as needed. Some contain usage, crash, & other informational logs that are managed by routines that the system automatically runs periodically to keep their total from becoming too large. Others contain initialization data gathered over time that the system uses to start up or to run processes efficiently.
    Thus, there is no fixed correct number for their total size since that depends on the history & current state of the machine. On my iMac G5, one large hidden folder ("var") currently uses about 1.05 GB of drive space, but consider that only a ballpark number since it may be considerably different on different Macs at different times.
    If you are still concerned about the health of the drive, especially that something is eating up disk space unnecessarily, then run Disk Utility to check it. In the "First Aid" tab select your drive & click the "Verify Disk" button. If this reports no problems then you can be pretty sure there is nothing to worry about.

  • How to reduce the space between to words in Scripts?

    Hello Friends,
      How can I reduce the space between to words in Scripts?
    Thanks & Regards
       Sathish Kumar

    use &ekpo-ebeln(C)& it is for reducing the space...
    if you are trying to codense the space in prog  and then want to pass that to script use
    condense ekpo-ebeln <no-gaps>.
    <no-gaps> is optional ...so as per your requirement you can use it

  • How to collapse empty space above each photo in an album?

    Hi folks.
    I have a photo album setup to display my photos as a single column with no caption.
    I'm seeing an alarming amount of 'dead space' above each photo. I.e., when I click on the photo in iWeb in order to see the blue bounding box that contains the photo, there's a lot of empty space.
    Some of my photos are portrait orientation and so the gap is only about 1/3 of the height of the photo. But for some of my landscape-oriented ones, the gap can be as much as twice the height of the photo.
    Is there any way to force iWeb to adjust the container to the height of each image plus some padding?
    Thanks
    Tony

    The only user controlled spacing is that offered by the Photo Grid pane and that doesn't really affect that spacing much. Other options would be to go the flash route with one of the applications or iPhoto plugins available. Examples of some of them can be see in these demo pages:
    PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes
    SimpleViewer and Flash Album Exporter
    Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes
    Jalbum
    Cyclosaurus as offerred at times in the past javascript code to modify slideshow attributes but none for the spacing as you want.
