Text justify in illustartor

Can't align text in illustrator Any help please thank you

Well not much to go on here, but I'll hazard a guess and say - make sure the text is set as AREA type and not POINT type (look those up in Illustrator's help files)

Would be nice to have text justify added so we do not have to add the css values in code!

If that is the actual text you are using to put in your document I can see why it won't justify.
Place it in Illustrator and click on > Type > Show hidden characters
You'll see line returns at various points in the text. They are preventing the justification happening. If you go through and remove them, you'll see the justification doing what you want it to do.
If there's not much text, do it manually. Otherwise go back to the original text document and get rid of its formatting

  • Text justify

    Hi guys,
Does anybody know how to justify a block of text in Fireworks
CS3 without having the last line of words horribly stretched out ?
I've tried all the different settings I could find but I always get
the letters in that last line of text in the paragraph spaced out
way too much. Thanks in advance :)

You are using this on a web page? Why use an image at all?
    That's usually
    the worst way.

  • How I can set up text justify or Bold for the "whole column" of a Table

    Hi,
It takes time to set up a cell of a Table (Front Panel)for Fonts, justify, Type ... imagine I have to set 1000 cells? Is there any better way to set up one shot for "all cells" in a column and for the "whole Table"? Any one can help me speed this up? Thanks.

    Hi Greg,
On a related note I would like to ask you a question.
I wrote an app. in 6.0.1 that took advantage of the defer panel updates option (that I learned about from you, thank you). I was very pleased with the effects.
Since then, I have taked the same piece of code and have started to use it in another app that I am developing now in 6.1. I no longer see any performance differences using the defer scheme like I had seen earlier. Are the charts failing to "honor" the deferments in 6.1?
Before you mentioned the table thing (above), I was just thinking that the charts have been updated such that the deferment does not make things any more efficient.
    So...
Are the charts just faster now?
    or
    Are the charts not honoring...?
    or
Is Ben just confused (it would not be the first time)?
    Ben

  • Justify text with javasript help

    Hello.
    I'm using Acrobat Pro 10.1.4
I had to create a text field in which the text is visible on screen but hidden when printing.
So for this it seems I couldn't use the typewriter, since it didn't gave me those options.
I had to use a Textfield and make it read only.
I entered the text under "Options > Default Value" and it gives me only the following options for alignment:
    Alignment - Left, Center, Right
It doesn't give me the option to justify text, and some of these texts are multiple lines.
So I was wondering if there is a Javascipt entry that would make the text justified?
And if there is, what other options should I use with it to make it work correctly?
(such as should I allow rich text formatted?)

hmm... the screenshot attached shows the only options given to me by Text Field Poperties when using the "Select Objects" arrow
Are there options it is not showing me? That bar is the only one that comes up when pressing Ctrl+E
    no Alignment button present.
When pressing "More..." it shows up the other Text Field Properties menu where the text is entered.

  • Line Spacing in text field.

    Hi,
I have added many text fields to my pdf document. Some of them need following:
    1.
Adjust the line spacing between two lines.
    2.
    Make the text "justified".
I can not find any way to accomplish these things. Can anyone tell me how to do these things?
    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Geo,
Are you talking about check box "Allow Rich Text Formatting" in the Text Field Properties dialog box? I have it checked.
But still it does not give me ability to adjust line spacing or "justify"ing the text.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • How to change solid size automatically to a text field?

Does anyone know how to make a solid change the scale parameter automatically when the layer above it goes longer / shorter then it? I’m trying to have a text field that can be changed and need the solid underneath it to change the scale parameter when the text goes longer or shorter then the solid. Sounds like an expression…

I got this working with the following expression:
    xExtra=effect("xExtra")("Slider")
    yExtra=effect("yExtra")("Slider")
    x=thisComp.layer("Text 1").sourceRectAtTime().width + xExtra;
    y=thisComp.layer("Text 1").sourceRectAtTime().height + yExtra;
    [x,y]
    The Problem:
it resizes from the middle out. I need the text justified left (which it is not, because then it is not lined up and if I drag the shape layer over to line it up as I add text it still goes from the middle out and does not completly cover the whole text) and have this expression change only the length of the box below on the right side and keep the left justified.
    Any Ideas?

Try the code below in IE9. It should work if the browser is backwards compliant. I'll be amzed if it doesn't. Unfortunately I don't have IE9 available to test in. Didn't even know it was available. Is it a beta version of the browser which maybe hasn't been fully tested yet?

  • FONT issue in flash with Dynamic text

I dont even know how to start this thread... I am having a
serious problem with fonts on the flash movie I am Making/
Modifiying. The Font that is being used is "standard 07_53" and I
have been trying to understand how flash works with the fonts but
somethings are just making me scratch my head. First off :
    - I tried using both the anti-alias for readability and the
anti-alias for animation... the anti-alias for animation seems to
creat sharper text in most cases.. + I am embedding all charachters
when I do that (I know this makes my file way too big, but I am
trying to figure out where I am going wrong)
    - Q1 : I found out changing the position of where my text box
is on the document changes how clear the text is in the final
puplication. Now That I have not even the simlest idea why... does
    anyone know?
    - Q2 : The justify problem... whenever I use Justify my text
is all messed up... I even tried to change the font to Arial for
example and it still makes some of the text a bit blurry (well it
is blurry enough that I can notice it right away).. why does this
happen?? and is there any kind of solution to this problem?? I
    definatly want my text justified
    - Q3 : Do I and why, have to embed the font in each text box,
wouldnt one embeding be enough if using the same font in all the
    other text boxes?
    - Q4: Why do I see the text differently on different
computers.. and this realy is in relation to Q1.. on my monitor all
looks good on the published document, yet on other monitors and
computers it looks completely fussy untill I change the position of
    that text box.
-Q5: are there any sites that go in depth about Fonts and
dynamic text and how they end up rendering in flash?
you can see my problem with justified text at :
    http://www.alwayscoffee.com/mirror/flash/
then click on COMPANY and then look at the text under "ABOUT
    US"
by the way I am using flash 8 and publishing (flash settings
of:) flash player 8 - action script 2.0 - compress movie option
CHECKED - and jpeg quality 80
I apriciate all the help I can get.

  • Safari 5.1.2 Tab Close Button on Different Sides in Windows

I'm not sure if this is unique to my computer(s), but I've noticed that the tab close button is on different sides in the Mac & Windows versions of Safari. On my Mac, the close button is on the Left-Hand side with the tab text centered on the tab. On my Windows, the close button is on the Right-hand side with the tab text justified to the left.
Why the difference in UI? I do quite a bit of browsing on both computers and I find that I'm constantly having to try to remember where I am to determine where the stupid close button is.
I've looked around in both the Mac & Windows versions and I can't find an option that specifies where the button is show and whether the text is justified or not.

OK, here's what I'm talking about. This is a screen capture of a tab from the Macintosh version of Safari:
Notice how the "X" to close the tab is on the left-hand side and the text of the tab is centered on the width of the tab.
Here is a screenshot of the Windows version of Safari:
You can see how the tab is much smaller for one, but also how the text is justified to the left with the "X" to close the tab appearing on the right side of the tab instead of the left.
I don't really prefer one over the other (ie. left or right side), I just wondered if there's some setting to make them act the same way on both so that I don't have to constantly remember what OS I'm on in order to remember where the darn "X" is to close the tab.
