Text like a flower?

Hi team.
I would like to create 'flowers' of text, i.e. a central circle with text beams coming out all the way around.
This is different to the text on a line tool, I want the text coming out like sun beams.
I found a script call sunbeams on this board, but sadly it just crashes illustrator on my mac, I wondered if CS5 has bought anything new to this kind of requirement?

You may use the Polar Grid Tool (ungrouping and using the radial dividers), or something else to create radial paths, then use the Path Type Tool (you may adjust the Baseline Shift to centre over the path and/or drag the I beam across the path to switch direction, or whatever else may be needed).

I'm in process of creating a photobook using LR4's Book Module. Whenever I create a multiple columns page or photo caption, the text won't flow from the 1st column into the suceeding column... does this happen to anybody else. The multiple columns feature however does work for normal text placeholders.

You guess right but that's not very useful to me because sometimes I just want to have a few lines of text at the bottom or at the top of the photo but in 2 or 3 columns for easier reading. I can do that with text placeholders like the one below and the ability to do that with page or photo caption would be desirable too.

How to customize the Rich Text Editor task flow in the doc lib?

You know that webcenter portal has a feature is called customizing task flow.. so we have client request to customize the Rich Text Editor task flow of the Document library. Such as disable the Format, Font, Size drop down menu of the richtext editor UI.   But after I open the editHTML.jsff of the oracle.webcenter.doclib. the code is like this:

Which means that if you want to change the toolbar you have to check what is the type of toolbars the CKEditor uses, I can tell you that there are two defaults: Basic and Full and I believe the tag uses a custom toolbar called WC by default.
So if you want to change the toolbar to only show basic, change the toolbarSet property to Basic to make the final result looks like <rte:editor id="rte" value="#{pageFlowScope.rte.HTMLTextArea}" converter="#{pageFlowScope.rte.HTMLConverter}" toolbarSet="Basic" />

How Do I Wrap Text Like the iOS Camera App?

Hello. I am in yearbook, and I have been challenged with designing the cover of the yearbook, and I have been having a few problems along the way. One of these problems is to wrap text. Specifically, I'm stuck on how I would wrap text like the iOS camera app on the bottom of the screen. The words seem like they are wrap around a 3D object to give it that effect, but I can't really tell. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well...there's Photoshop Touch and Photoshop Mix as well as Lightroom Mobile. It could be argued that they're don't exactly mirror their desktop cousins, yes, but they weren't meant to be. They were meant as extensions to the desktop experience. (e.g., Lightroom Mobile lets one work with the RAW images they have in their Lightroom desktop collections.)
The more powerful Windows tablets can run Photoshop desktop (like Photoshop CC) too.
@bluebocat: Are you looking for text with a perspective? Like it has a vanishing point? As if it was turned in a certain direction in 3D space?

JRC Export to Text like Crystal Report Designer Export

We need to Export report to Text like Crystal Report Designer Export using JRC. Is this possible? I see export ReportExportFormat CSV, PDF and RTF only. These exports are working, But I need plain text that looks like Text export of Crystal Reports Designer. I see this working in RAS 2008. What I can do to get this with JRC. I am using Crystal Reports 2008 to design reports.

I have a 2nd gen itouch and i tried to restore it...but i took the cord out on accident while restoring...so everytime it turns on it stops at the apple screen with the little loading thing that looks like a flower. it wont even connect to my laptop.help?

You mean, you are trying to search text in a PDF file, and you can do it in Reader 9 but not in later versions of Reader (using the same file)?

Is it possible to make a text box cycle/rotate through text, like a slide show does?

Is it possible to make a text box cycle through 3 or 4 separate pieces/groups of text, like a slide show does with photos? So that when I open my site a text area says "Statement 1", then 10 seconds later it changes to "Statement 2", then 10 seconds later it chagnes to "Statement 3", etc.
Its that possible with a text box? My desire is to have 3 or 4 testimonials that change every 10 seconds.

Right. Some plugins have zip file downloads while others are just copy & paste.
In DW, go to File > New > Blank page > JavaScript.
Copy & paste the Cycle plugin code into your new JS page.
SaveAs cycle.2.9.81.js in whichever site folder you normally keep scripts.
Link your HTML page to your new cycle script:
Insert > Script > Script (browse to folder containing your cycle script). Hit OK.
Don't forget to add a link to the jQuery core library, too. Plugins don't work without it.

I can access the apps but because it will not scroll I cannot access all of the screen. Can nayone help please???

It sounds like VoiceOver is partially on. First try triple pushing the Home button. This may turn VoiceOver off. If that doesn't work going to Settings/General/Accessibility and make sure VoiceOver is Off. Note you may have to use 3 fingers on the screen to scroll.

Draw the shape which is to be knocked out (a line in the example) in a layer above the logo. The colour doesn't matter because it will be made invisible.
Double-click in the space to the right of the layer's name in Layers panel to open its Layer Style window where advanced blending can be modified.

anim.play();If it's 1 letter at a time it is 1 Text per character. Easy to code (it's similar to the one above but with more Text nodes), but you might end doing tons of tests to figure out the proper timing.
The main issue here is still the lack of proper graphical animation tool in FX.
Oh by the way, as PhiLho pointed out, can do text along a path using PathTransition and 1 Text per character too... again tons of test to figure out proper character spacing and timing. It's not impossible... jut overly long and completly inconvenient without advanced tools.

Is there a way to create an anchored text frame that flows with the main text and goes on from the top of next column or page with the same type of horizontal alignment?
I want to create a cuttable and paste-able, title, anchored small text frame and main text unit format that will repeat with different contents with as less manual labour as possible. (There is a simple example of what I am trying to achieve as a screenshot)

One of the limitiations of anchored frames is that you cannot split them or include them in a text thread.

My requirement is to change the Text like "History,Back Forward" Texts with the Images in the Page Title bar.Under theme editor I dont have an option to replace with Image.
I checked with the com.sap.portal.navigation.pagetoolbar.par file.I am not getting exactly where to replace the Text with Images.
Please let me know if I am referring to the correct par file and where to make changes.

Hi,
It depends if the WDJ application has made another navigation.
History saves any navigations made by the user (TLN/DTN,etc) or navigation done by applications in code (wdDoNavigate, EPCM.doNavigate).
So it can go back to previous view , or previous iview the user was at...
