Text looking all blury

I'm using flash mx and I'm having trouble with text members
that look all blury. How can I avoid this. I am loading swfs with
texts into my main movie and they look terrible.
Please help!

You can't scale movies if you want to maintain the text. The
only way to keep it
neat is to scale it up, never down.

All text in all email are blank, can't view attachments.

After last osx update 10.5.6 I noticed a problem with my email. I have 2 email accounts in mail 3.5 The 1st works fine, the 2nd account lost all text in all email in in-box. Also all attachments are blank. I've tried forwarding the email to another account and also printing email but all the text looks as if it has been deleted. I've tried the font color and encoding but no luck. What would cause 20 emails to delete all the message text and blank out the attachments in only one email account?

update - I did a rebuild mailbox and all email in that problem account diapered. I can only guess that the email got corrupted and the rebuild purge the problem records. They are not in the delete folder either. What would cause one email box to become corrupt?

7.0 Upgrade your flash plugin to 9.0 and it should work fine in
Firefox and IE. It did for me.

Text looks blurred on Samsung display

Hi,
So, I have just gotten a Samsung SyncMaster TA550 for Christmas. I have it connected to my MBP13 mid-2012 (2,5GHz i5, 8GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000) with a HDMI cable and a Dr. Bott HDMI & DVI to Mini Displayport adapter.
The display looks absolutely fabulous as long as watch videos, but text looks like crap, all blurry, and gives me headaches, not matter if it's text I'm currently writing (in pages or online) or the song list in iTunes for example. The problem is: I mainly wanted to use this display for writing. Also the bars in pretty much every programme I've used so far have this strange grey blur to them.
I'll attach screencaps of both text and video on the screen. You'll see the grey blur in the safari window.
I toyed around with resolutions and practically all the display settings in OS X and the display itself - nothing worked. It looks slightly better when I change to 720p instead of 1080p or 1080i using underscan to fill the display, but that's not what we want, right?
Currently it's set back to "Best for display" and a 60 hertz refresh rate.
I thought that maybe the adapter (which wasn't a particularly expensive one) might be the problem, so I have now ordered a HDMI to Mini Displayport cable that had good reviews online. It might take a few days for that one to arrive though, and I was hoping that maybe I could solve the problem without having to use that one.
I hope you'll be able to help me, cause honestly, this is getting annoying.

Strangely the screencap looks good on my MBP's LCD...

I have been switching from PC to MAC for the last couple years. One of the last bones was my desktop computer which had a SAMSUNG 29'' HD monitor.
Last friday I bought a MAC MINI and connected it to the Samsung thru HDMI. I had almost a breakdown when I realized the blurry text from the OS X against the crisp and bright text from the Windows machine. I started to investigate without any luck until I came across this post. Thank you MissKillALot, you save my day! Finally now I have a monitor working like it should, and no more PCs at home!!!
P.S. No wonder people keep ditching Samsung equipment: For the HDMI - DVI PC port to work properly you have to "RENAME" the port from HDMI to DVI PC. Rename? Who thinks that by "renaming" some port it will actually change its properties? Is this on purpose to annoy the user?

Text looks like it is bold when viewed online in browser

I have a site with a black background and white text.
When I create it on the desktop using plain Verdana it looks fine but when I post it all looks like it is bold.
Actually all the text looks bold no matter what font.
Any thoughts anyone?

Text looks horrible and blocky when imported into DVD SP

Why is it that all my text looks terrible when I import it from Photoshop into DVD Studio Pro for a still menu? The font size is 20pt, and the text type is Franklin Gothic, a sans serif Helvetica variation that is extremely simple and basic. Why does it look so bad? Is it the layers? The field dominance? The pixel aspect ratio? I've asked around and many people simply say "dvd studio pro does that sometimes." What? That's not seriously the bottom line is it? What if I don't want to redesign my whole menu?

Try this one...there isn't a solution, it is a confirmed bug in the software. Check out the thread above, I included an e-mail address and issue i.d. so you can write a message letting them know that I'm not the only one having this problem...
The same issue affects the normal way of creating slideshows as well as still menus. The workaround is to create a menu that loops at around :30. However, at the loop point the text will go jagged for a second while it loops back to the beginning. So, it's not a perfect workaround.

Text looks Blurred when there is a Image on Page.

Not all the time, but some text looks blurred when there is a Image, even if i export it as PDF it remains the same. Can anybody help me how to fix it?

it is very weared to me. the macbook pro retina is just 2 month old. it looks like a software bug?...

ML85 - approval overwrites Reference text in all SES

Hi,
Why is the reference text is overwriting with the text from first SES to all SES approved in ML85 screen ? For instance, in below screen, the pop-up appears only once with the text from first SES and when the approver goes ahead, it applies the text for all three SES approved in this session. Ideally, looks like this pop-up should appear three times with header data from three SES in this case because three SES are involved. Is this a bug ?

Converting a file to JPG looks all messed up

Hello Everyone,
I have this project I am doing for my brothers business. Its called Wilde electric. I have the "W" done, and when I put text beside it, and group it, and save it as a PDF first it looks fine, but when I go from PDF and convert it into a JPG the text gets all messed up. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I am using windows Vista(32 bit) with adobe illustrator CS3 version 13.0.2, and also using adobe acrobat 9 Pro version 9.3.0
If anyone needs pictures I could show them next time.
Any help with this problem would be great

Try going to Applications/Font Book and validate your fonts. It appears a system font may be corrupt.

Text is all crazy

I have a simple table to keep track of a what's been done on a project I'm working on. When I opened it up today, the text was all scrambled. For example, instead of saying "Map, Mt Unzen" that box says " Ocr ."Ov"Wplgp. " Crazy. What's even stranger is, the little text box at the top of the screen has the text correct. It's only on the table itself where the letters are all wrong. And as you type in a box, it "converts" the letted into the garbled type. When you print, it looks scrambled.
Clearly there's some corruption going on or something. Is there any way to save the file?

Hey thanks for your reply. OK, more about the situation.
I tried copy/pasting the entire table into a new one, and the error remained. Of course I quit/restarted, but no dice. Another odd thing, if I copy the garbled text and paste it into a text editor, it comes in correct! If I enter text into a field, it types incorrectly, but when I hit enter -- sometimes -- it quick switches to the right text. But not always! Also, not every field is screwy. Some columns are fine, in fact most are.
The fact that the ASCII is one character off I think is interesting. I was checking for some formula that may have crept in there but no luck, however I'm by no means expert at the program.
I'm willing to do any and all updates that the mothership sends my way, if my software is out of date. Maybe there's an "ASCII codes get added to against the user's will" patch available.

Rendered text looks low res

I've read every post I could find about this and gleaned some insight, but still need a more definitive answer than I've come across. I created title cards using the 2D FCE program, as the boris Calligraphy program seemed too complcated for what I need to do and I'm running out of time.
Problem is, the text looks fine until I render it. Render User Settings are 100% for Frame Rate and Resolution. Filters, Frame blending and Motion Blur are all checkmarked. I've tried various combinations of those uncheckmarked. No improvement.
The fonts are Gill Sans plain 27 pt. and Geneva bold italic 24 pt., but it doesn't matter what the fonts are, or the point size, or whether it's the graphic bar I created from a rectangular shape... They all look degraded after render, like a low res approximation for playback. The type, however big or bold gets suddenly darker, and less cleanly defined and the graphic bar actually shortens slightly. Is that in fact what it is, just a low res way of playing back, so I shouldn't worry about how it looks here? However, a fairly knowledgable friend says the image shouldn't look degraded after render. Ultimately going to DVD. Please straighten me out here. Much thanks.

digital format for display on an interlaced analog
monitor. It's not intended for display on a computer
screen. The Canvas is for monitoring purposes only.
If you really want to see how it looks set the Canvas
to 100% view. That's the true interlaced image as it
will appear. Of course you can't see this properly on
a computer screen especially if the material has

All is clear except that you suggest that if I really want to see what it looks like, to set the canvas to 100%... that that's the true interlaced image as it will appear. I must be misunderstanding, but when I set the view to 100%, I get an enlarged, TV Safe sort of view, but the resolution looks the same (de-interlaced) as always after the render. Basically what I'm asking is whether the eventual video will look like (with, of course, the normal degradation of NTSC) what I created on 2D text or graphics BEFORE I rendered it.
I tried to check it on a monitor, but when I plugged Video Out from my G4 to the monitor, I got a nice image of the FCE interface on TV, rather than a screenfilling view of the selected sequence. What am I doing wrong here?

Rendered text looks OK in premiere pro, but is poor quality when exported - why?

I have done a nice text animation in after effects. Just a simple character by character fade on.
It looks good in AE, and when I import and preview it in Premiere Pro, it looks equally nice.
However, when I export it to a (high bit rate WMV), it looks poor and blocky.
All the other non-animated text looks fine. Why is this happening?
