Text messages pic

How do I get a profile pic to appear with my text messages on my IPhone 4s?

On your contact just add a picture and your good to go, however if you want others to see your picture they are going to have to add your picture on there contact on there phone as well, same story with the iPad.

Text messaging pics...any news?

I can't believe they did not give this phone the capability to send pics by text messaging. This is a very basic and widely used application with all cell phones. Does anyone know about any proposed changes to this? Is there any way around this? I hate having to go to that site (www.viewmypicture.com) just to see a picture. You have to put in a username & password and sometimes it dont work....and the picture is small and doesn't look good. This is very annoying.

Looks like you've got the pieces of the answer in the other posts, but just for info purposes . . . . I've been using email for pics and it works just fine. Like you, I'd prefer if they would add MMS, but the email works. Just add the MMS email address of your friends and family in the address book and then pick that address instead of the regular one when sending the pic. The worse part is that you have to ask your friends to put your email address in their phone and send pic messages to that instead of your phone number. Here are a couple of the carrier addresses:
ATT: [email protected]
Verizon: [email protected]
Alltel: [email protected]
As far as saving the picture, that too would be nice (and I hope they fix it), but I've just been saving the pics into iPhoto from Mail on my Mac and then it resyncs into the iPhone.
Not perfect . . . and yes, it should be better, but the work arounds do work.

I can send an audio file via text message... I can send a picture via text message but for the life of me I CANNOT figure out how to send a pic with audio via text message and it's driving me crazy!
Does anyone know how to do this?

It order to send a picture and sound in the same message, once you have entered the Create Message step, you choose Insert Slideshow instead of Picture. When you insert a slideshow, you will have the ability to add both a picture and sound file in the same message.

I'm trying to upgrade to the Iphone 6, I have the Iphone 4s! After I upgraded my 4s to the * operating system, I go to messages, then details, it list all pics associated with that person! How can I get the pics out of the phone?

I would try a utility tool like Decipher Text Message. I've used it in the past to save all my messages and photo attachments to my computer and then I've deleted the text messages off my phone to save space. Good stuff.

Have you tried to long press the photo attachment to get a menu option to save the attachment?

If you mean MMS Message,
Open the message
Select options
Scroll down the options menu to "Objects"
select objects and it should show the MMS files (The text and the images)
open the images and save them.
they can then be printed from the photo browser or copied to your pc for printing

When you are viewing the test message with the picture in it, press and hold on the picture itself and it should vibrate and pull up a menu with the options of "View Picture", "Save Picture", and "Share Picture". Choose which one you want.

Transfering pics from text messages to computer

Hello , I have a Treo 680, and I and very new to all this PDA stuff. I have received some pics in a text message. I would like to view these on my PC, how do I do this.

Well, I am guessing that each carrier must have software that works for their particular phone set. I tried the suggestion the person was given for their Sprint Palm and didn't work for me. I spoke to a friend who has a Palm with Sprint and she said that is how she is able to save her pix. Well as I said after pouring thru a gazillion searches on google I finally found one that worked and here is what I have to do:
1. Hilight the message
2. Click on "Chat"and select "Message Details" then
3. Click on "Message" and it gives you the option to "Save"
It worked and I am now able to save in whatever folder I want to send the pix to and they then sync to my desktop.
Had to work a little for it but it worked

I think you're suppose to address it with the recipients phone number @ whatever carrier they use. [email protected]

We just needed to know what was and was not happening. Now you have said that. What user troubleshooting have you tried? They are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. I would try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The iPhone will restart. Have you been able to receive pictures in the past? If you go into Settings, Messages, is MMS turned on? Can you receive a picture and see it from anyone else?
