Text Messages Rebooting system

I am having problems with receiving text messages. Any incoming messages reboot my system. I saw the posting and solutions for other models, but wanted to be sure I am fixing it correctly for a 700P. I am trying to hotsync contacts and calendar without my text messaging since it seems like a file is corrupt.

It does appear that there are some data corruption in the SMS application on the Treo. Most of the time is a corrupt thread. Try to delete the threat that sender is involved in to see what happens on your next incomming SMS you get from that person. If you want to keep it simple, delete all SMS threads from the phone and soft reset to see how that works.

My Storm is eating my text messages

Hi, Fellow Blackberry Users! For the past month, when someone sends me a text message, I only get their name and a blank space and later a call or an email (Didn't you get my text?). I have a lot of saved messages. My provider tells me that I will have to delete these in order to get more texts. It is going to take me 2 days to send them all to my email so that I can free up space on my phone. Is there a way to get the saved message folder onto my memory card instead of my device? I am using the desktop software to back up my information but will that restore my saved messages if I delete them (I had to create a new backup folder so that this one would not overwrite the previous one as they are titled by device; I also have a second line for another person that is a Torch). My media card was not formatted so I have never been prompted to save anything to it. I have 845 MB of free space on my phone and my media card is pristine and unused, 7 GB. Is there anything I can do? To get a text message in sooner than the 2 days of hard work it will take me to go into each conversation and send, go to another and send, go to another and send, then delete everything?

Text messaging is my favorite method of communication! With so many varieties of messaging options, it's no wonder many people prefer texting over voice calling. I want you to enjoy texting just as much as I do! With that being said, I am committed to getting this ghost text messaging issue resolved for you! Below are a few questions that I have so I can start the investigation.
What is the exact software, baseband, and build version on the Droid Charge?
Are you using any 3rd party messaging apps?
How much onboard device memory do you have free?
Does ghost text messaging only happen with your wife's mobile number or are other contacts affected?
To start the troubleshooting process, I suggest erasing all of your old threaded text messages, reboot, and retest the service. Also, if you are using any 3rd party messaging apps, please remove from the device prior to the reboot. Please verify that all your other voice and data services are working properly. Once you have done these steps then please reply to this posting with our results just in case more assistance is needed.

Rebooting system due to exception

Hi,
I've recently installed LabVIEW 2010 and re-deployed an RT exe which worked fine in LabVIEW 2009. The RT system now works for a bit and then crashes, giving the error message:
Rebooting system due to exception
Flushing disk cache....
Attached is the rtlog error file generated, any ideas how I interpret this file?

Yes, I've had this set up working with LabVIEW 2009.
It's a real-time PXI and every time it crashes I have to format the disk and reinstall the software through MAX.
It currently has the following installed:

Text messaging menu bar not working

the menu bar at the top of the messages won't "tap". I can only see the most recent text message and cannot go back to the list of all text messages.

I have synced my phone with itunes, backed up, reboots after deleting the texts, they never vanish, i have even restored from itunes and restored from a backup that didn't include the texts after i deleted them.

actually better to reset your phone and reinstall the latest firmware again after that restore your back up it should be ok

My question is, how do I get the text messaging preview to just pop up so that I can see the name only when the lock screen is on? The conventional ways of doing this, such as using turning off the SMS preview under the "passcode lock", well that option no longer exists, or if it does, I'm somehow missing it.
When I go to the "messages" setting under settings on my phone, I still don't see an option of turning it off.
If I can just get the name of the person sending the message, as I had it before, I'd be happy.

Cannot send or recieve text messages through Ford Sync system since latest O.S. update 10.3.1.1779

My Blackberry Classic easily connected to my Lincoln's Sync system. I was able to receive and send text messages through the Sync. Since the latest O.S. update, I can no longer connect sms services through Sync.
Should I restore to previous O.S.?

Yes my particular issue is not like yours. However, there have been many other laptop users experiencing similar problem to yours after 3.10 kernel. Mostly it seems to be bumblebee users that experience your problem with the blank screen. We do know that nvidia have yet to make their official drivers work with kernel 3.10 and up. The drivers in the Arch repository have been patched to work with 3.10. From what I have seen, this also only seem to be affecting laptops with newer nvidia gpu's. I fear there is not much to do with this problem until nvidia give official 3.10 kernel support.
My suggestion would be to stick with 3.9.9 kernel and the drivers that work with it, and don't upgrade those packages until nvidia has addressed these issues. If you have a look at the nvidia forums you will see quite a number of topics mentioning black screen when starting x on 3.10 kernel, and also a thread for the system dying. Reading some of the threads there may help you keep up to date on whether or not the issue seem to be solved.

Iphone froze in the middle of text message, self rebooted, deleted all of my text messages, and can't send/receive now

I was replying to a couple of text messages today when the sending animation froze. My iPhone restarted on its own and when it turned back on my messages application was wiped clean and now I am unalbe to send any message. When I attempt to compose a message and select a contact, "no name" appears in the TO: field.

You should try Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support - this is generally the first step in troubleshooting, all devices - for all time

Three iPhone 6's in household. Taking 30 minutes to receive text messages. Anyone else having this problem? I'm thinking it's the phones. If we reboot, it's fixed for a while.

IPhone 4 rebooted itself and deleted all my text messages??

My iPhone 4 just turned itself off and rebooted and when it came back on every single text message was deleted. What would cause this?? I feel like it has been running slow and buggy lately. But have the latest software. Not sure what I can do??

Z10 reboots when opening text message or contact details

Since last week I am unable to read any text messages as the Z10 reboots everytime I try to open my text messages. Thne when I open my contact details it also either reboots or stay on a white screen. PLEASE ASSIST.

hwessels, try scrolling through your Hub, and without opening the text messages, tap and hold on the old text message threads you know to be the longest threads of all, and delete them.
Then, With your BlackBerry powered on, remove the battery for a minute and reinsert to reboot.
Now, after reboot, give your #Z10 a few minutes to complete all the data sync and attempt to open one of the new messages.

I am having the same issue here... just upgraded my 5s to 7.1.1 (never jailbroken - factory unlocked) and then boom... NO Service!!! Searching ... that's it. currently using Smart Telecom Sim... at first it was working for me... after 6-7 hours, it started the No Service issue. I cannot send a text or make a call...
I did the steps you have taken but it is still not working... any updates on your end?
