Text messaging: video suddenly too long??

How is it possible that I sent a video yesterday to two people at a time and it went through, but today, I can't send the video through text messages at all? I don't want to clip it. It is only 1:40 sec. long.

I was recently searching in my iPhone 3GS for a phone number, and the search hits revealed text messages that I have long ago deleted and would rather not have in my iPhone. How do I delete these once and for all?

It was the strangest thing. You would think that once you delete a message off your phone it is gone.
But in the "search iPhone" feature several key numbers like an area code reveal phone numbers of people
who aren't in my contact list, specifically the first few words of text messages that I deleted long ago.
I would like to eliminate these once and for all.
Will "Erase Content and settings" do this for good? Once I restore the phone will they come back?

What "locking function" are you talking about?

Text messages over 160 chars long are being converted to MMS

Hi, Just found out from EE that text messages over 160 chars long are being converted to MMS which are not included in my mobile plan.
I have an iPhone5 on IOS 6.1.3 - Anyone know if Apple intend to fix this?

Sorry but that isn't an Apple feature, but a carrier feature - they are the one who set the limits. You will need to talk to your carrier about that one.

Hi, I have a database table containing text information. I
want to displayt this information on a webpage but when I try to do

Custom Webdynpro text field is taking too long to accept input values

Dear All,
I hvae created custom web dynpro for PO header fields in SRM. This WD contains a lot of fields. When i try to put cursor on a text field it is taking too long for the cursor to appear in that input text field. There is no problem with other fields which have search helps associated with them. This field with the problem is just a text field.

Backing up text messages... how long should it tak...

Hi there, I have been trying to back up my Nokia 5300 using Nokia PC Suite and can't seem to get it to work. I am using the latest version of PC suite - I updated it today!
Basically, when I go to do the backup, it backs up the contacts etc. very quickly, but seems to stop when it gets to the texts. Now, I haven't done this before so there are probably about 1500 texts for it to save, but even when I leave it for ages the percentage doesn't seem to go up.
Is it to be expected that it would take a very long time? Should I be leaving it to do its stuff overnight or something?
I have taken off the automatic keylock because it says not to lock the phone (although I highly doubt this will make a difference). Everything else on the software seems to be running fine, and I can back up perfectly if I untick the option for text messages.

Try the following option :
What you can do is backup only the messages using Nokia Content copier
Nokia Content Copier allows you to back up your phone's contents on a PC. You can back up the entire contents, or select what you want to back up. You should back up your phone's contents regularly to help avoid losing important data.
You can restore phone contents to the same phone model from which the backup was originally made, or import contents to another Nokia phone model. If you are restoring a backup file to the same phone model that was originally backed up, existing data in your phone is replaced with data from the backup file.
Note: Do not use or disconnect your phone while Nokia Content Copier is backing up or restoring the phone contents.
Note: Copyright protections may prevent some images, ringing tones, and other content from being copied, modified, transferred, or forwarded.
Note: Some content can only be restored to the same phone model from which it was originally backed up depending on what type of data the target phone supports.
To back up your phone contents
1. Connect your phone to the PC. Note that a USB cable is the fastest connection type for transferring large files between your phone and a PC.
2. In Nokia PC Suite main window, click Backup to open Nokia Content Copier.
3. Click Back up.
4. From the list of content types available, select what you want to back up, and click Next.
5. Define a name and a storage location for the backup file, and click Next. After the phone contents have been backed up, click View the report if you want to see detailed information about the backup operation.
To restore or import a backup file
1. Connect your phone to the PC. Note that a USB cable is the fastest connection type for transferring large files between your phone and a PC.

You can also try with Nokia Communication centre but this application is still in beta, so 100% not sure if it will work properly or not as its in BETA now. This application is available from Nokia Betalabs or you can do googling to find out more.

Nawk message input record too long

I am running a shell script which uses nawk.
I am processing a huge input file.
I get a message that an input record is too long.
What am I supposed to do to indicate to nawk the max record line length ?
My e-mail is [email protected]
Any info will be appreciated

The 6144 limit can be verified with:
% perl -e 'print "A"x6145, "\n"' | nawk '{ print length($0); }'
nawk: input record `AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...' too long
source line number 1
(it works, when you change the perl print statment to
6144 x "A").
Quick solution could be to use gawk instead of nawk
(/opt/sfw/bin/gawk, if you have the Solaris 8 companion
CD installed).

Show end of label text when String is too long

I have a JLabel with a string in it, but the string is too long for the label, and only the first part of the string is visible.
How can I make the label show the end of the string?

I use the field as a rollover helper. When the mouse rolls over a cell or column in a table, it shows the value in the textfield.
Now, when the field gets a new value, it flickers because it first enters the string and shows it from the beginning and then scrolls to the end, causing a flicker.
Is there any way I can get around this?

Apple Mail Message headers are too long

I just recently noticed that all the headers of my messages are really long, i can't see my messages until I scroll down. I tried to adjust the headers in my preferences and they still don't look normal. How can I fix this problem?????

Please, clarify. What does “the headers are really long” mean? Is it that they show a lot of information or that they take up too much space on the screen with lots of unused blank space in between?
If the latter (which is not what you appear to be saying), then this is a font issue caused by having disabled or removed a font that Mail needs to work properly (e.g. Helvetica):

How do you change the email address where text messages are copied too?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 5S phone with the latest Android OS. Currently all messages sent and received are sent to my business email address. I want to change this to my personal email address. How do I do this?

I understand how important it is to receive your text to the correct account smy711! I was wondering what email account are you trying to change it to? Is it Yahoo, Aol etc.. I do know you can remove your business account and then go to your email account and select Settings>My accounts and you will see where it says "sync email". Keep me updated.

What do I do if I sent a message that was too long and now my iMessage will not work.

So I sent really long message on iMessage using an itouch 4g to an iPhone 4. At first both our iMessage accounts were frozen, but she got hers back and now I am recieving her messages but I can't view them or respond or even delete the conversation to start a new one...

Playing a Music Video takes too long to start

I have a 2 hour 45 minute music video on my Ipod. I can either watch the video or just hear the music from my song list (no video).
The video will start playing in a few seconds, but playing as a "song" will start after a few minutes. This does not look as normal, Wonder if this happens to all?
