Text missing in converted email
Using Acrobat Std 9.2, Convert to PDF in Lotus Notes 8.5. [Windows XP]
PDF of some emails contain only email header - no body text. Most PDFs are OK.
In problem emails, original email contains text with a number of fonts, including font Default Monospace.
I edited the email, changed the Monospace text to Default Sans Serif (10pt).
Convert to PDF worked OK.
Convert to PDF is used to convert hundreds of emails, so can't check each one manually to see if it contains Monospace, nor is it possible to check all converted email to check they contain body text.
Any suggestions for how to make Convert to PDF work with emails containing Monospace font?

Yes, printing to the PDF printer does work. But we are able to get this to "archive to PDF" with the standard PDF buttons, just by modifying the original document, so this is not the problem. Sorry I was not clear in my original post. The problem is that we use this as an email archive, and some people archive 1000's of emails. Adobe Acrobat does not report any type of error when this bug happens, which means that everyone in the company has to look at every email they archive to make sure that Acrobat did not remove the entire body of their emails, making this product practically useless as an email archiver. The fact that the adobe printer works just fine, but using the adobe buttons does not work, suggests to me that this is just a bug that adobe has overlooked.

No kidding. There is no catch-all solution. All you can do is try to find a setting that most people can accept. If you were using rich text, turn it off. If you weren't, then turn it on. You said logo, so that assumes rich text. If, in fact, you are sending plain text, that could be the problem. Many PC programs can do either plain text or rich text, but not plain text with attachments or images. So try all the above without the logo. -
HELP!!!
I have text disappear from Outlook emails printed to PDF when I print the PDF files from Acrobat XI Pro to a printer.
Here is a sample png from the PDF file printed out of Outlook - all the text is showing.
However when I print the PDF from Acrobat to a printer, the document comes out of the printer with text missing as shown:
The Acrobat print window shows all of the text that should be there as does Acrobat's view of the document.
Also, if I save the file to an image, all of the text is there.
I have tried different emails as well as different printers and the paper printed copies of the PDF emails are always missing text.
Additionally I have tried coverting the PDF file to a PDF/A file and printing that and the same problems occur.
Please send some tips as to how I can fix this!Hello Atul -
i am having similar printing issues with Acrobat 10.1.4.
in my case both PDFs made by me (from InDesign files) and other PDFs made elsewhere and sent to me are missing text when printed to paper -though they look fine both on-screen and in the preview pane, as Katy noted above.
these PDFs print fine when i open and print from an older version of Acrobat (9.5.2).
they will also print fine from 10.1.4 if i send them to another printer in the office, (a Dell Color Laser 3110cn), the printer i have a problem with is a Kyocera Mita KM-5053 - which leads me to believe that this is some kind of communication error between Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 and this printer, or perhaps a driver issue. ?
I don't believe it's merely a preferences/print settings problem as i've gone pretty carefully through all the dialog boxes that seem relevant and have had no luck in solving the problem. Also, the text that's missing seems arbitraty - meaning, it's not merely hyperlinks or certain layers or text in specific type faces that won't print -it's content in the same text box, where other text does print, and it's blacks and colors and various point sizes - in short there are no easily discernable unifying circumstances among the text that does not print.
obvioulsy an easy work around is to just print to the other printer or use the older version of Acrobat, but my concern is more that other people may be experiencing the same issues with PDFs i send them. so if it is a problem in the way i'm generating PDFs (although, as i said, text is also missing from PDFs i have received from other people and printed) i'd like to fix it quickly, so that people trying to print my PDFs don't end up with critical content missing.
i'm on a 2008 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5, and using the Acrobat (X Pro v 10.1.4) that came with the CS6 Design & Web Premium package - although i'm looking at it online now and it's listed as Acrobat XI Pro..
any input you have would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to take a entire text conversation and convert it or copy it to an email for easier reading?
One way to do this, is to open the message, and choose one of the conversation bubbles. If you hold it down, the conversation bubbles will have a small circle next to them. If you select all of the circles you wish to keep, at the bottom of the screen there should be an arrow that you can use to forward the selected text to the email of your choice. Hope this helps.

Making email/text/missed call symbols show when the iphone screen is asleep

So I purchased my first ever iphone on the weekend - the new 3G S. All very exciting. One thing I haven't quite worked out is whether it is possible to have the phone show me that I have mail/text/missed calls when the screen is asleep. Is this possible?
With Nokias and Sony Ericsson's when the screen is asleep and blacked out, you can still see a pic of an envelope etc to let you know there is something waiting for you like a text. Is this possible with the iphone and if so how?
Alternatively if there is an app that will do this, could you let me know what that is called so I can download it please?

PaulThis is not possible with the current iPhone and version 3.0 software. There are no apps available either that will wake the iPhone up and activate the screen to provide you information. Hopefully this'll come in some furure software update.

Distorting text/images in converting from pmd to pdf
My company uses PageMaker 7.0 to create our manuals and brochures and then converts them into pdf's. I've run into this problem before and found that if I didn't properly place or import an image (not copy and paste an image or text) that once converting it into a pdf only a portion of the image would be there or everyother 3rd letter would exist. Thought we had corrected it. The creator of this last document saw everything correctly but when another employee opened the pdf file through the network it was distorted and wrong. I opened the document and "saved as" in my documents and then everything seemed fine from my computer but then the creator opened the file on his computer and it was wrong. The link info on some of the images is wrong even though it was placed properly- the text was entered in Pagemaker but on the pdf is missing letters and causing odd spacing. I'm at a loss now on how to correct this. I hate to upgrade when pagemaker is more than sufficient for the basic manuals we do. I did notice that I was using Reader 9 wheras they still had 8 on their computers- already had them upgrade but didn't think this would be a real issue. Any ideas on the problem or how to correct would be greatly appreciated!!
Look in the application where the users are generating the PostScript.
Many of them have an option "print last page first", so this naturally
produces a backwards PDF.

I want to convert a PDF file that I received as an email attachement. Can I convert it without saving it first. It is the type that will let you save a blank form but not the info typed in and I don't want to retype the entire form.
When I try to save it only the form is saved not the text that was typed in. I want to save the info so I don't have to retype it.Bob

Hi, Bob.Yes, CreatePDF will allow you to save a PDF file as a Word file, so you can then type and add text to that Word file. I want to send a text in BOLD via email,
Right now i ma using the Function Module: SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 for sending attachments via mail.
But i do not know how i can send some text in BOLD.

Variable text is blank in emails when using Scheduled Task to email event log notifications
I am trying to use powershell to email notification when a user account gets locked. I am running the script from a server 2008 domain controller.
I have tried multiple scripts and I have the same issue every time. The script works fine when I run it directly from the powershell command line window.
However whenever I try running the exact same scripts from an event-triggered scheduled task, the script runs, however any content that generated from a variable is not added to the email. It is just left blank and ignored.
I have tried adding lots of permissions including domain administrator group membership to the account runs the task from and it doesn't include all the expected text unless I run it from the built-in domain administrator account.
The task runs and the email is sent, but the email is missing all the content generated by variables.
How can this be fixed?

I came across something similar recently where it printed the left hand side only!
If I want to print an email, instead of File > Print ( does not print properly ) I click on the print icon on my email webpage ( do not use applemail and access gmail direct) which then takes me to print preview showing the complete email which prints ok.
Some webpages ( File>Print) do not print properly and some do. Those that do not generally have their own printer icon (path) that needs to be clicked on.
Maybe something to do with encryption but don't know.

Hi all,
Greetings for the day
I am created a new CSS in Robohelp 9. I have also created a new template in Word 2010. The style sets for different information elements like (Heading, bullets, body text, ) are more or less same between the CSS and the new templates. I am also able to map the .css styles to Word template when I am converting from RH to Word as I am getting the necessary option in the drop-down list.
However, when the output is generated, the bullet, the numbered list and the body text is not converting at all. The body text works sometimes. However, the numbered list and bullet list is coming out as images.
If anybody knows the solution, I can share the .css and Word template.

is Voice Memo on the new 120gb Classic? if so how can i use it, and where in menu is it? i'm trying to record my vinyl directly onto IPod using an Numark TTI Turntable with IPod Dock. Please help nearly 2 days need a fast solution Cheers
