Text missing in structure

Hello
I create structure with restricted key figure and calculated KF. In query designer texts/desc for columns are visible. Standard text is marked. When I start query in analyzer is not visible, text/desc is empty. When I go back to query and unclick standar text in column, text/desc is visible in analyzer. Don't you think that bug? Do you have any solution to fix it without going through reports?

Hi Dominik,
you are not doing anything wrong - the RKF and CKF don't have standard text - since you are creating them on the fly then the standard text is not something that is consistent with the objects - only the basic key figures would have standard text.

Email printed to PDF, PDF appears accurate in Acrobat XI Pro, when PDF printed to paper text missing

HELP!!!
I have text disappear from Outlook emails printed to PDF when I print the PDF files from Acrobat XI Pro to a printer.
Here is a sample png from the PDF file printed out of Outlook - all the text is showing.
However when I print the PDF from Acrobat to a printer, the document comes out of the printer with text missing as shown:
The Acrobat print window shows all of the text that should be there as does Acrobat's view of the document.
Also, if I save the file to an image, all of the text is there.
I have tried different emails as well as different printers and the paper printed copies of the PDF emails are always missing text.
Additionally I have tried coverting the PDF file to a PDF/A file and printing that and the same problems occur.
Please send some tips as to how I can fix this!

i am having similar printing issues with Acrobat 10.1.4.
in my case both PDFs made by me (from InDesign files) and other PDFs made elsewhere and sent to me are missing text when printed to paper -though they look fine both on-screen and in the preview pane, as Katy noted above.
these PDFs print fine when i open and print from an older version of Acrobat (9.5.2).
they will also print fine from 10.1.4 if i send them to another printer in the office, (a Dell Color Laser 3110cn), the printer i have a problem with is a Kyocera Mita KM-5053 - which leads me to believe that this is some kind of communication error between Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 and this printer, or perhaps a driver issue. ?
I don't believe it's merely a preferences/print settings problem as i've gone pretty carefully through all the dialog boxes that seem relevant and have had no luck in solving the problem. Also, the text that's missing seems arbitraty - meaning, it's not merely hyperlinks or certain layers or text in specific type faces that won't print -it's content in the same text box, where other text does print, and it's blacks and colors and various point sizes - in short there are no easily discernable unifying circumstances among the text that does not print.
obvioulsy an easy work around is to just print to the other printer or use the older version of Acrobat, but my concern is more that other people may be experiencing the same issues with PDFs i send them. so if it is a problem in the way i'm generating PDFs (although, as i said, text is also missing from PDFs i have received from other people and printed) i'd like to fix it quickly, so that people trying to print my PDFs don't end up with critical content missing.
i'm on a 2008 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5, and using the Acrobat (X Pro v 10.1.4) that came with the CS6 Design & Web Premium package - although i'm looking at it online now and it's listed as Acrobat XI Pro..
any input you have would be much appreciated.

Why is some of the text missing on the right side of a page I send to my printer?

I came across something similar recently where it printed the left hand side only!
If I want to print an email, instead of File > Print ( does not print properly ) I click on the print icon on my email webpage ( do not use applemail and access gmail direct) which then takes me to print preview showing the complete email which prints ok.
Some webpages ( File>Print) do not print properly and some do. Those that do not generally have their own printer icon (path) that needs to be clicked on.
Maybe something to do with encryption but don't know.

Making email/text/missed call symbols show when the iphone screen is asleep

Hi,
So I purchased my first ever iphone on the weekend - the new 3G S. All very exciting. One thing I haven't quite worked out is whether it is possible to have the phone show me that I have mail/text/missed calls when the screen is asleep. Is this possible?
With Nokias and Sony Ericsson's when the screen is asleep and blacked out, you can still see a pic of an envelope etc to let you know there is something waiting for you like a text. Is this possible with the iphone and if so how?
Alternatively if there is an app that will do this, could you let me know what that is called so I can download it please?

This is not possible with the current iPhone and version 3.0 software. There are no apps available either that will wake the iPhone up and activate the screen to provide you information. Hopefully this'll come in some furure software update.

ITunes 12 - App update text missing

I'm running Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1.26 on a Macbook 13" Retina.
Since upgrading to itunes 12+, the text that describes the update to any particular app is missing. Here's an example:

*Some Text Missing* Nokia 6288

Hey, whenever my mobile tries to receive large messages (I guess they're messages spanning over 160 characters?) I get the *some text missing* phrase along with the last part of the message (normally only a few characters/words).
I was just wondering if there's anything I can do to solve this? If I text the sender back telling them I only got half the text, as soon as they send a new 1 to me the first half of the original message arrives. Obviously this is a great hassle, and a waste of a text for me and the sender, is there any other way to combat this problem?

This happened when there's not enough memory left for the message that it receives. The main memory of the phone is always use in this process(it is shared with other program too); so to get multipage(span more that 160 chars) text messages successfully in which the latest Nokia phone models is capable of, one must free the main memory as much as possible. Transfer or archives your text message to external memory.
Service provider considered one text message if it does not exceed the 160 character limit. If it does, it considered it as a multi-text, and billed likeless. It send it in series of succession depending how busy the network.

I think it is related to viewing video or clips.....

Well, if you're using Chrome, or Firefox go here this should also work with Safari. It will let you know if Flash is already installed in your browser. If your using Chrome it should have been intergrated. Were you able to get Flash installed so you can view video clips? Post back to let us know. Hope this helps. Also install Perian. See if that helps as well.

Restricted Key Figure Column heading text missing

Hello,
I created a restricted Key Figure in a BEX report and dragged this RKF into the columns tab. when i execute the report , the column header text for the restricted key figure is missing. The values are fine, but the header column text for that KF is missing. any help?

Hi Justine...
I think u r doing something wrong..........Either u can create Global Restricted Key(Infoprovider level) or Local restricted ket figure(Query level)..........If u create Global........then in the left pane............Right click on the Keyfigure >> New restricted Key figure...........to create in the Query level..........In the context menu>> choose Edit........... or select the heading of the Rows or Columns directory
and use the right mouse button to choose New Structure..........In both the cases....there is a Description Field........u hav to write the description there............U can change the technical name also.........then save it........
May be it is a temporary bug............just come out the query..and again reopen it......

i am unable to c text for 0calmonth2 in the query outputit shows like 10 11 12 instead of text october or oct
i have search the forum for the issue. and accdly check the 0calmonth2 Bex dispaly property as text in RSD1. and also check the Provider-specific properties of the infoobject -> display property as text
and even in the query designer i can c the display property as text
but wen i c the output od the query it shows only key values
and in the infoobject properities in report i just gives 2 options key and none...
can anyone tell me what other config is missing here ?

Right click on your query --> calender month --> display as --> name .
otherwise check in transaction rsdcube chose tab "Time Characteristics"
then: Extras->structure specific Infoobject Properties.
or
just check the cube or multicube on which report is based.
go the cube-> enviroment-> structure specific propert...->
here check the "display" option
check whether for that infoobject if text is there or not make it text
now you will get the text option in the bex

2011 Server Trial: export to text missing

Help Please!
I must export a 2011 or XI rel2 report version to text with character spacing 0 and 0 page length (no page break).
This option is missing from the BI Launch Pad, as well as from the CMConsole.
The option is available in XIrel2, as well as available and working in Designer 2011 or what was called developer.

Text missing from PDF created in Excel

I have been creating a pdf file from an Excel spreadsheet for many weeks but last week the pdf file suddenly stopped displaying text in one corner of the screen:
But the missing text does display in Print Preview:
The font is consistent across the whole document and I cannot find any reason why this text will not display in that corner of the pdf.
Does anybody have any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?

The problem is actually caused by the following update for excel which was rolled out on Dec 14, 2011.

Long Text Missing In COA(Certificate of Analysis) Report

Hi Friends,
We have a case where Long text entered in the results recording is missing in the COA Report for only certain Batches .
For same MICs and COA Profile,the Long text is displayed correctly in the report for the different batches.
I have investigated this and text element been used in the MIC is 0024 Code short text with results long text.
We have checked the COA Profile for this MIC and material has been assigned ,so profile find to be correct.
The SAP form used for COA Print is a standard and MIC is of Qualitative.
Could you please help on this .

No idea really but look at this:
Any chance the user was logged in with a differnt language when they created the long text? If they logged in as ES for instance, the long text might be stored as ES. But the COA is bring printed in EN so the ES long text is not found.
Do you see an entry in table STXH for the long text for the batches that don't display it? (Text ID is QMEP).
I'd compare the entries in STXH for a long text that prints and one that doesn't and see if you notice any differences.

Text Missing when using PDF Convert but OK when using print PDF

I am using Acrobat Pro 9 in Wnidows 7 and Microsoft Publisher 2003.
When I use the CONVERT command to create a PDF - it is missing all of the text on the master page.
If I create the PDF with the PRINT command - everything is OK.
PS: The same Publisher File on another computer using Acrobat Pro 8 works fine - CONVERT or PRINT and no missing text
I prefer to use convert because sometimes the PRINT command drops some of the hyperlinks.

You're posting in the wrong forum, but you already know that...
In any case, if you're running XP (you didn't supply any info about your environment, which is critical), there's a Microsoft HotFIX patch for PostScript printers such as Acrobat to fix the missing text problem. Do a Google for "Framemaker hotfix missing text" to locate the patch.
