Text Modules in different languages

Hi,
I want to create a TEXT MODULE in different language. For example, i created a Text Module in English language. I want to create in german with the same Text module name as in English language.
Example: Text module name ZTEST (EN) and ZTEST (DE).
Any help is appriciated.

Create text module at SO10 Transaction,first create En Language ,then use formatting options from Style transaction (SE72 - create paragraph format ,charcter format )..
again create same text module with diffrent language ,but same formatting option may not applicable,you have to use diffrent ones..

  • Selection Text Translation to different Languages

    Hi Gurus,
    How can i translate the texts to different languages for selection screen of a program and how can i transport the same to next systems.

    You can translate selection texts of a program two ways
    - [SE38|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/d7/c4673cffbb4c34e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm] - menu : goto, translation
    - [SE63|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/46/3892c1be5c1ea9e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] - menu : translation, short texts, ABAP, Program texts
    Be aware that some texts use ddic definition of data element, so the texts of the underlying data-elements must also be translated (if they are not already)
    - SE11 - menu : goto, translation
    - SE63 - menu : translation, short texts, ABAP Dictionnary, Data element

  • Texts maintainining in different languages

    Hi Everybody,
    I have a requirement to change the texts for   a characteristic value.  this needs to be done in EN and FR languages.
    For Eg :  values at present in  version IOB   in EN language which is maintained in BW only (not from SAP R/3).
                        key           text
                 1.    BUD      budget version
                 2.    VEC      current version
    My requirement is to change the text for key VEC to "temp version" in EN and also a translated text   "XXXXXXXXX"  in FR language.
    To achieve this :
    I will logon in EN language and change the VEC text to "temp version"  .
    Again I will logon in FR language and change the VEC text to      "XXXXXXXXXX" .
    question 1: can I follow the above process to change the texts .if there would be any implications .
    Q2: how to do my transports of these objects ?
    Question 3: Is this the only  way to change the texts, In case  if I have 100 texts to be changed  if there is any other way  . please share you views on it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Veera

    question 1: can I follow the above process to change the texts .if there would be any implications .
    You're process is valid. There is another way to do this, however, whilst logged on as EN. To do this, go into the InfoObject, click on the 'Master data/tests' tab, double-click on the text table (e.g. /BI0/TXXXXXX), click on the content button and execute. This should show you all entries in every language. To add more, no matter the language, click on the Create button and enter the code, language and description.
    Q2: how to do my transports of these objects ?
    After you have completed your enties, click on the Select All button in the data browser list if you want to transport all entries, or CTRL+Left Click if you want specific entries to be transported. After you have made all of your selections, go to the menu path Table Entry > Transport Entries. This should then bring up the typical transport request pop-up screens for you to put the table contents on a transport.
    Question 3: Is this the only way to change the texts, In case if I have 100 texts to be changed if there is any other way . please share you views on it.
    The other way for you to make this change, for a large number of entries, is to create a .csv file with the entries you want to make, setup this file as a Flat File DataSource and create a transformation from this Flat File DataSource to the Master Data Texts of the InfoObject.

  • Problem with texting in a different language than English

    So I added Greek as a language on my phone through desktop manager. When I type a text in Greek, with Greek letters, it looks fine but then I send it and it switches over to English letters. How do I get the text to remain in Greek, so that I see it in Greek after it sends and those who read it are reading it in Greek as well? Sorry if this is a rather basic question, I'm not too tech savvy.

  • Smart forms in different languages

    Hi all,
    i have an issue
    I hav to convert my smart form in 8 different languages.
    i know se63 but i dont want to use it as i have to maintain texts manually in different languages in se63.
    is there any FM or code with which i can convert my smart form in different languages.
    my smart form is originally made in EN language n i hav to convert it to german , italian , french , spanish etc.
    please tell me any SAP note no that would be really helpful.

    Hello,
    if you do to want to use se63, you have 2 way:
    1. use modul text ( see Transaction smartforms, 3°option on the screen)
    2. Use a standard text (so10 transaction)
    I mean that on smartforms you have to use only this 2 kind of text and, of corse, translate it.

  • Test Modules in other languages

    Hi All,
    I have different texts for diffrent dunning levels  in EN langauage.
    I should code in such a way that the same form should show the texts/outputs in different languages.The language will be determined using the Language field (ADDR3_DATA-LANGU_P), on the Contact Persons tab on the customer master, where department (KNVK-ABTNR).
    All i should do in the current code only & not in different forms.
    Pls help me how to do this. Its very urgent
    Thanks

    New since CR 9 is unicode support: http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/KanisaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=http--supportbusinessobjectscom-communityCS-TechnicalPapersNoNav-cr9whatsnewpdfasp&sliceId=&dialogID=24286720&stateId=1 0 24288668
    "Unicode support means that the program code level in Crystal Reports is able to recognize language
    characters that are based on Unicode.
    Unicode is used to display double-byte characters such as the Chinese and Japanese character sets.
    This enables you to create Crystal Reports that can display right-to-left languages and multiple
    languages in a single report."
    So if your data is in unicode Crystal will be able to properly display the various languages.
    If you wanted one single report to be viewed in different languages, then static strings in the report would need to be converted into formula fields which changes the text into the appropriate language based on a language parameter.  Some strings could not be handled in this manner though such as custom prompting strings.

    I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I believe there are only two possibilities, the language of the text of the KN app itself (menus, etc.), or the language in which you write, associated with spell-checking your text.
    As far as the first is concerned, I believe KN, like many (perhaps all?) Apple programs, are automatically localized according to the language setting of the Mac itself, set in SYSTEM PREFERENCES. (This is not true of all apps. MS Office, etc., can be bought for various languages, but, for instance, if you have the German version, the app language will always remain German, regardless your system settings.)
    If you have the second problem, associated with spelling, that is set up in KN itself: EDIT > SPELLING > SPELLING will bring up a window, on the bottom of which you can see and change the language.
    I hope this solves your problem.

  • Upload positions-text in different languages?

    Hi folks,
    we have to enter positions in different languages. To enter new positions we use a flexible upload - method. We have got one upload-file for EN and another one for DE.
    The problem:
    if we upload the EN-file, the text of the positions in DE gets blank,
    if we upload the DE-file then, the text of the positions in EN is blank.
    So one of the fields (either DE or EN) is empty and would have to be entered manually.
    What can we do to upload both DE and EN - text for the positions?
    Is this possible at all?
    Thanks for your help,
    Thomas

    Hello folks,
    it´s possible to upload different languages!
    It´s easy if you know how to do it:
    create an upload-method with (at least)
    Positionplan and language in the header
    Position-nr and text (short, medium, long if you want) in the body
    --> NO further information (hierarchy, type or whatsoever)!
    Create a file with information above
    Import the file
    --> if positions are available the new language will be filled in
    --> if you accidently address a new position you will get an upload error (as no hierarchy-info is available).
    Hope this will help others as well,
    Thomas Kejik :-)
    PS: special thanks to Tanja Ritter who provided this trick.

  • Texts in method in different languages

    Hi,
    I have a report which generates a string in different languages depending on the selection input.
    I have translated the texts in method (for example text-t01) from original language EN to Chineese ZH.
    When the user is logged into the system using EN language, I use SET LOCALE LANGUAGE ZH, then
    I read the texts which are in Chineese which is correct, then I switch back to SET LOCALE LANGUAGE EN.
    But the texts afterwards are still retrieved in Chineese language.
    Thank you for the help!
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    Once we translate the texts from source language EN to target language <anything>, then when we login to the client with that target language , the text will be seen in the target language only...if we login with EN it will show in English langugae...
    either SE63 or from the menu->translation in se38(for programs).

  • How to text for Submit button in different languages.

    Hi All
    We have a requirement to add 'Submit Button' in iSupplier Portal's Standard Pages.
    We have substituted the controller to add the Submit button and it works fine also .
    Our Application has 7 different languages, so the requirement is to show the button Text w.r.t the
    language only .
    We have written the following code
    OASubmitButtonBean oasb= (OASubmitButtonBean)oapagecontext.getWebBeanFactory().createWebBean(oapagecontext,"BUTTON_SUBMIT");
    oasb.setID("IPOPrintReportButton");
    oasb.setUINodeName("IPOPrintReportButton");
    oasb.setEvent("IPOPrintReportButton");
    oasb.setText("IPO Print Report Button");
    //oasb.setTranslatableText("XXIPO","XXIPO_PRINT_REPORT_TXT");
    pageButtonBarBean2.addIndexedChild(oasb);
    when we have used setText method , we are getting the same name in every language. so we tried using setTranslatableText Method and gave it the Messages to set the Button Text. But Now button text is empty .
    Pls tell us how to achieve this requirement of having text in different languages on the button ..w.r.t the environment language. we have also defined same Message 'XXIPO_PRINT_REPORT_TXT' for other languages.
