Text not displayed in the Web Report

Hi All,
I have a query where user is expecting both Key and Text to displayed in the report for the Info object "Local Product High". This infoobject has text data available. But Iam not sure why this is not getting displayed even when I select both Key and Text in the properties screen.Only Key is getting displayed.
Can some one throw some light on this.

I juct checked the Text table and I see the texts for the infoobject exists. I do not think CHange run will resolve this issue. but yes the master data is active .
I will now try to run the report through Bex and come back.

Does this happens in dedicated client as well?
We would need to have traffic captured when you are actually executing actions. The tools like fiddler etc will help here to track the traffic.
I would suggest you open SR with MOS since it will need some analysis on network trace like fiddler. You can refer this thread in SR as well, so that once issue gets resolved thread will get updated with solution which will benefit others.

BW Field level Autorizations are not working in the WEBI Reports

Dear All,
1. I have created Authorization roles with Infoobjects Authorization Objects.
2. In Bex Query Authoizations are working on the Infoobjects like for
Ex: For USER1 I have given Company code = 1000 &
User 2 I have given authorization for 1100.....
3. Import those roles into Business Objects-CMC.
4.Users were Imported.
But in the WEBI Reports BW Field level Authorizations are not working i.e for USER1 authorization for Company code is 1000 , in WEBI report it is showing all the Company codes data for USER1.
For USER2 also showing all the data in the WEBI report.
Plz help me on this issue.

Hi,
For Authorization to work in BO you can check the following:
1. You need to create authorization variables in your BEx query.
Also these variables should not be input ready.
2. While creating universe in BO you need to select "Single Sign On" option available in the parameters iwhile creating a new
connection.

Why does Email text not display, only the header?

When opening an email message, the text or graphics if applicable does not display. The messages display in my Inbox along with the Preview Pane, but when opened the text box is blank. Why?

Close out of the mail app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

Spry not displaying on the Web

have built a webpage conatining a spry widget with flyouts , I have uploaded my files to my host server To display the widgets properly
I save each page as a html page which i built from a Dreamwever template. Now when the page displays on the web it just has text where the spry should be
The txt is in Hyperling form but the links dont work eaither. Waht am I doing wrong ?

Images not displaying on the web

I've written an applet that displays jpg and gif images.
It works fine in Kawa, but when I run the applet on the web, I run into the following problem:
The applet runs fine, with full functionality, except that the images are not displayed. I know that they are there, since I am able to use them in the program (part of the functionality relies on comparing two images).
Any idea where the problem might lie? The code, the images, or the browser?
I've tested the applet with IE 5.50.

It could be that you are asking the Applet to display the images before it has had a chance to load them. Running locally, this wouldn't be a problem because they would load so quickly, but running remotely, the images may take longer to load.
Try using java.awt.MediaTracker:
MediaTracker m = new MediaTracker();
m.addimage(myImage, myImageID);
m.waitForAll();
This will block your Applet until all your images have been loaded and are ready to be displayed.

The fixed value date is empty and not displayed in the VA05 report

Hi SD Gurus,
With in the Sales Order in the line item level in the billing tab we have the fixed value date (VBKD - VALDT) were entered.
But when we try to execute the report VA05 were the fixed value date column shows empty (i.e without the date it shows the blank). Can you any one help me with regard.
We would like to fix this problem.

Ok.
Goto t-code SQVI,SAP Quickviewer.
Give a name to your query and enter description ,etc.
Next enter the table from which you want to fetch data,ie,VBKD .
Select "Layout mode" for displaying data on the SAP screen or "Basis mode " if you want to extract the data to a word doc,excelsheet or a flat file.
Next you can select the fields you want to display into your report,their position and ascending/descending order,Here make sure u select
the field u need to display ie. the fixed value date ( VALDT) .
also select the fields u wish to have in the selection criteria.
Enter these required information and u would get a report on the SAP screen or in your desired format.

Data is present in the database but it is not reflecting in the Webi Report

I have my data in the database. But when I create a webi report out of it, the data is reflected in the report. But when I shoot the SQL that the BO generated on the database, I'm getting the data. Can you help me out in this issue? I appreciate it.

Try the folllowing
1.If data in the database has changed i.e tables or columns then first thing we should do is refresh the universe so as to get the updated changes into BO.
2. Check whether any conditions are appilied at universe level/ filters appilied at report level.

.mov file does not display on the web-site

iWeb is easy to use but my simply link to a .mov file does not work. I am working on the Domain file on my Desktop so I can move it between computers, and it renames the media file in the inspector from name.mov to name-1.mov. In the end the site does not display the animation.

Are you linking to this file so that it can be downloaded from your website?

Bar chart is not displaying on the web page

In the view.js file it showing the warning in the following line..
data = [{ label : oBundle.getText("empty") ,data: 1} , ] -----------------warning : semicolon is required

i think the problem is in above line..
bcoz of this i am unable to display the bar graph ..

InfoObject Text not displaying in BPS Web

Hi Gurus,
We are using a custom InfoObject attribute only characteristics (Only text table). We are using this object in BPS planning. When we launch the BPS_Web and drilldown on this Object, it just shows us the technical value, not the text. We would like the drilldown to show only text. I tried to change the Business Explorer properties for display 'Text'. However it is not helping us.
Please let me know if you have encountered any issues?

Check to see if the table- RSDCHABAS has the entries for the custom infoobject
Short text exists = X
Med-length exists = X
Long text exists = X
populated..

Report Not working in the Web Browser

Hi ALL ,
Am working on a item SKU report . The report is running fine in the BIDS but once i try to view the report in the WEB Browser
tried both Mozilla and Internet Explorer no data is shows up .
The report has 2 report filter one is on the service and the other one is the item sku its a multi - parameter that contains
a list of more than 6000 different SKU . Can the filter be the reason for the report not displaying in the web browser.
If yes kindly advice me what the workaround for it .
I tried having the filter in the SQL main query but it was of no use no data it was showing after having the ssrs report filter
at least right information its showing but in the BIDS not in the main web browser.

According to the description, I understand that there are parameters (@SKU and @SKUlist) in the report, and SKUlist parameter is multi-value parameter. When selecting values of the SKU parameter, the parameter SKUlist will display corresponding values. In this
case, you should create cascading parameters, right? And you use parameters to filter the report.
Because the data of the report can be shown in the Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) environment, the issue only occurs after deploying the report to report server. Based on my research, I think it may occur because of web browser issue. I have
known you use Mozilla and Internet Explorer to view the report but there is still no data.
In Reporting Services, not all report functionality is supported by all browsers. In this scenario, I suggest you considering the aspects of the setting or third party add-ons of Internet Explorer (IE). You can refer to the steps below:
1. Click Tools -> Internet options.
2. Switch to the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then select Default level.
3. Switch to the Advanced tab, and click Restore advanced settings.
4. Temporarily disable third party add-ons. For detailed steps, please see the link:

Display Comments in Webi Report

Hi All,
We have a requirement, to display comments (2 or 3 paragraph in each page of report).The text needs to preserve the format (bold, bullets and colored text) i.e the format from the source data should be retained when displayed in the webi report.
Say for example the source is the excel and the text is coloured red or green , some part of the text is bold, all these formats should be preserved in the webi report also.
Can you please suggest, how to implemet this in webi report?

you can take the formatted text in a word document, take a screen shot, put it in mspaint and select the required part. now place this picture in the blank cell's background image. this will preserve the formats of all kinds.
but u cant change the text dynamically.
usually we do this to give users an introduction page(tab1 in report followed by report tabs.) describing the application.

All the configurations are in proper shape.
We need to change any IP adresses or proxy settings in the Internet explorer (Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> etc.,)
Do We need to configure any server address for getting the output to display on web pages in BI 7.0.
EP is not configured over here. Is that causing the problem.
