Text not fit to size when deploy in web browser when upgrade to 10g

Hi,
I 'm currently evaluating the form upgrade from 6i to 10g (10.1.2).
The text on the boilerplate was fit to size in the form builder 10g , however after compilation of the upgraded form and deploy to web browser, those text item close to the field get truncated.
Moreover, the spacing of the LOV is increased in the web and it need to scroll down view all items.
Is there any configuration can be changed to revert back to 6i , otherwise it may required to patch on the text position again.

I think that it is just a problem of difference between the Forms Builder font and the Java web corresponding font.
Have a look at the <FORMS_HOME>/formsxx/java/oracle/forms/registry/registry.dat file.

Hello, indeed, as Semaphoric stated, the Em box is not the same as the Cap heigh...

Text not fitting on page correctly...?

I'm using the "Watercolor" template in iWeb, which has a "page" on top of the background, therefore creating an edge. When I increase the content width in the Page Inspector, the green header does not "widen" with the page; it's a locked length and only the beige "page" expands on the top right. It looks like this, which I don't want:

But the issue is this: My header copy ("Bristol Screens") won't fit on the header. The text box doesn't even reach the edge, and yet my copy is moved to the right and cut off. It looks like this on the home page:

And like this on the following pages, where it's moved to the right and almost overlapping the subhead copy ("About Porch Systems"):

Anyone know how to make my header copy stay put while not increasing the width of the actual web page?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That's one of the problems with most of the themes in iWeb. They do not allow increasing the width of the page since they use graphic files in their design and those files are not scaleable when the page width is increased. Sometimes those themes can be modified but not without a log of work and knowledge of CSS and how iWeb works internally. Wyodor or Cyclosaurus often can suggest a workaround.
The themes that do let you widen the page and customize any way you want are White, Black, Modern Frame and Formal (except for its blog layout).
I use one of those themes, choosing the one whose navbar font and color will fit my design best, and then add my own shapes and graphics which I have complete control over.
It's either that or use the set themes at their default size.

Page does not fit on paper when printed directly to printer

Hi experts,
I have developed a form in transaction SFP, using A4 as the paper format for the master pages. If I print to spool and preview and print my form from spool using transaction SP01, the form prints nicely. If I print directly to printer using the generated function module for the form (setting parameter REQIMM to true), the page does not fit on the paper (it is cropped), and also I do not get duplex printing.
Why do I get different results when printing directly to printer as opposed to printing to spool first? How can I ensure that the form is printed correctly when printing directly to printer?

Did you check the window settings of the Firefox desktop shortcut to see how Firefox opens?
Did you try to delete the current Firefox desktop shortcut and create a new shortcut?
Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window (use the keyboard cursor keys).<br />
If that works then first close all other open Firefox windows and then close Firefox via "File > Exit/Quit" to save that setting.

Text not fitting

In a report there is a table created vth sy-uline and c_vlines
(vertical and horizontal) .and there is a data .if i have to insert the text there it is not fitting properly means it is truncating by the vlines and uline how to increase the table width in a report
if i am changing any constant values in vline and uline it is effecting to the header and the tezt items in it .PLZ suggest

I had a report vth output as a table . in the program the header items are made vth sy-uline and c_vlines .
for eg if the table had an item desc which is a heading and the below line contains the text .but text xontent is not fitting into it

Captivate 4 Files double in size when upgraded to Captivate 5

I noticed when I looked at converting my Adobe Captivate 4 files to Adobe Captivate 5 that the files doubled in size (one went from 30 MB up to 90 MB). At http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2010/10/cptx_file_size.html, Adobe mentions that they know about the issue, and plan to resolve it in a "future" release. I have already applied the 5.0.1 patch recently released, but still have the same issue.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this, or when a patch might be released that does?

IPhone 6 not syncing nor showing on iCloud account (web browser)

Can anyone help me please?
I Have an iPad air 2 and a iPhone 6, I set both up recently and have had issues syncing the two on iCloud,
my Reminders don't sync even though I am signed into iCloud on both devices and reminders is on.
as result I logged onto iCloud (web browser) and noticed in settings it does not show my iPhone 6, why is that?
it does show it in find my iPhone app, when I log into the app via my iPad.
My old iPhone 5s shows in iCloud even though I removed it from find my iPhone.
can anyone help?

Problem fixed its self, force restarted each device whilst on airplane mode.
Some how devices are syncing correctly and all is working.

Text not readable in TextField when it's disabled with Plug-in 1.5.0_11

We have an Applet application which we are running with Java Plug-in 1.5.0_11. We have Grey back ground for all the pages. When the text fields are in editable mode the text color is in black. When they are in non editable mode the text color changes to opaque green (with grey background page color) which is hard to read.
The same application with Java Plug-in 1.4.2_13 did not had this color problem. When text fields were disabled they appeared as dark grey which was easy to read.
We are using
import javax.swing.JTextField;
Is it a bug in newer Java Plug-in? Is there a work around for this?

Thanks for your replay. It worked. I have one more question.
In version 1.4.2_13 the disabled text field's back ground was Grey and in the newer 1.5.0_11 it's white. It confuses the users if the field is editable since editable field's back ground is White. Is there a property to set Disabled text fields background color? I looked in the API but could not fine one.
I do have around 150 text fields in 9 tab pages which will be disabled at various times depending up on the requirements. Which is the best way to set this test color? Do I need to go to each text field and set this property? Is there any other way to set this property at once for all text fields.
Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated.

Hyperlinked text--the text, not the link--disappears when I create a PDF from a book in FM 11

I am editing a FrameMaker 11 document with some text that is hyperlinked to a website. Earlier PDFs output fine. When I created the last PDF, some of the text disappeared in the PDF, but it's still visible in FM. On the PDF, the hyperlink is active in the blank space and it works to go to the website. Specifically the hyperlinked text is part numbers in a table with a shaded background--I mention this because if I open a page of the defective PDF in Illustrator--the text that has disappeared is behind the shaded square. Some of the hyperlinked part numbers are visible in the PDF--this seems almost random. It's not just part numbers or rows where I have edited something. I'm editing the document, I didn't create it. My background is InDesign and I am a novice in FrameMaker. Appreciate any guidance or suggestions.

Not really sure that I fixed the problem, but I did find a work around and wanted to post it if someone else runs across the same issue. Apparently the document creator used lots of custom rules and shading. If I pulled up the custom rules and shading palette and just unchecked both the custom ruling and shading boxes, it allowed me to create the print file correctly--the disappearing part numbers were on the new PDF. I didn't have to update the whole book which I didn't want to do because I feared it would mess up the rules and shading. Just unchecking the box before creating the PDF solved that issue for my purposes.

CS5 issue - Text not keeping Vector format when saving as PDF

Hi everybody,
I am very frustrated right now. I am working in PS CS5 in Windows, and I cannot get the text to keep the raster format where it's cleaner / clearer, and can be highlighted, searched for, etc.
What's really puzzling is that it will work sometimes, but other times it will not, and I'm not doing anything different. Some text layers keep the vector format, and some do not. I've searched, and the only solution I see is for older versions of PS where it just says to select the "keep vector format" checkbox, which is not in the save options in CS5.
Can anyone help me out with this? Any assistance would be much appreciated!!

Yes, faux bold is an effect on the text that can't be vectorized.
You'll need to change your font to another one that has a "real" bold option.

Lightening to 30 pin adaptor does not fit into 5s when in the apple case

Any ideas how to plug an old 30 pin car cable into the 5s whilst in the apple case, don't want to have to give mini £50 for new one when I,be already spent £25 on an adaptor?

That isn't really an adequate answer is it Peter. It's ridiculous that Apple couldn't make an adapter that fits their own OFFICIAL case. Lets refer to your previous post on something similar shall we: https://discussions.apple.com/message/20076166#20076166 - maybe Apple should look at what other case makers are doing and bothered to design the case to work in any iPhone5/S environment including the cut out to handle the wider base of the 30 pin adapter.

gotcha. i see, now this is interesting, as i may end up with apple bumper on and was mainly going to be using with headphones as ipod. as you say, ultimately could make use of one of those little adapter cables, i did that previously on the recessed iphone but an extra unweildy addition which is a shame

"could not access network location" when upgrading to iTunes 10

Hi, I really know nothing about computers, I'm sorry. I have tried to search for the answers myself but I don't understand much of the language and I'm not sure if I'm reading the appropriate information.
I wanted to update my iTunes on my computer (Windows XP) but it didn't seem to work when I looked for upgrades and clicked yes, I want to update. Nothing happened.
So I unistalled my old iTunes and tried to install the new iTunes 10. But when I did that, I got an error message, with the title of iTunes + QuickTime... saying... could not access network location.
I uninstalled Quicktime to see if that was the problem, and I tried to install iTunes 10 again and the same error message appeared "could not access network location".
From what I googled, it looked like I had to look at something in Run. I got to the specific location but didn't see any obvious errors. But then again, I really had no idea what I was looking at! What do I need to do?
Please I need help (frustrated)!

I uninstalled Quicktime to see if that was the problem, and I tried to install iTunes 10 again and the same error message appeared "could not access network location".
Which location is being cited in the message, fyr? For example, is it %APPDATA% , or something else? (The location given in the message dictates how we go about trying to fix this ... I know of at least three different issues that can cause the 1606 error message on the install, and each requires a different treatment.)
