Text Not Intializing

I am having a problem with CC2014 and the text tool. Everything works fine with CC, CS6 and CS5.
I get the error message that it Could not completed your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialized. I have read a bunch of info on the net, deleted files, uninstalled, reinstalled multiple times, downloaded the font troubleshooting script. I've changed the font preview to none.
I downloaded the script. When I go to run it, it is telling me, Failed to get the path for font cache files:
C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\tmp00000001
-C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\tmp00000001
-C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\tmp00000001
Please delete the files manually to clear font cache.
Been reading on the net for over 3 hours and have deleted several files that were mentioned in posts. Nothing worked. I have run the script, without the check mark, but then it tells me that ever font I have installed has an error. Know I'm suppose to keep it checked, but it gives me the message above.
I would have to use CC, or CS 6 anytime I had to use the type tool. Can anyone tell me why the text tool is not initializing with CC 2014?
I usually can figure out anything, but this has me stumped. I'm a windows 7 PC.

Hi Noel, Thank you checking back in.
I did not check it by going to their site, just through the control panel of the computer. The control panel said I had the latest one. In checking the way you mentioned, it looks like there is a newer one.
Since I am not having a problem with any of the older versions of Photoshop or any version of Elements, could it be the driver?
I ended up going through everything again today. Reset preferences, deleted the Photoshop font cache, the system font cache, double checked that I didn't have any of the fonts mentioned on the Adobe site that crashes Photoshop, deleted a few fonts that were recently installed, made sure font preview was off, etc.
Would you have any idea of why the font script is giving me the message I mentioned above?
If I open a file with text it in, I can select the font and change the words, but the second I click on the selecting a new font, in either the top left corner or the character panel, I immediately get the Photoshop as stopped working and it crashes.
Crazy thing.

Outgoing or Incoming texts? I was texting with a person with an iphone that is one the same network, if that matters. But they were all green, so i know they were SMS.

Follow the path:
SPRO--> MM --> Purchasing --> Messages --> Texts for Messages ---> Define texts for Purchase Order
Double click on "Texts for Document Item" under Dialog Structure
Click on new entries and then Fill the following fields:
Pur. Doc. Category: Purchase Order
Print Operation: New
Doc. Type: NB
Item Category: Standard
Text Object: Purchasing Doc. Item texts (EKPO)
Text Id: Info Record PO Text (F02)
Print Sequence: 2
Print Priority: 1
and then Save

Save as text not working

When I try to save a PDF as text, my document is empty. Also, it appears I only have the option of saving as accessible text, not plain text. I am using the latest version (8.1.2). Anyone able to do this successfully?

I have found this does work, but only with Acrobat Pro. You must use save as, accessable text (plain text doesnt work with the document that I have been using).
I have tried the SAVE AS TEXT option with Adobe Reader, versions 6, 7 & 8. I wonder why that option is even available.

Variable Text not working as dynamic header in Crystal report

I'm working Crystal report that connected to Query BEX SAP BW trough SAP integration kit,
currently i have case that need report dynamic header using variable text from BEX query, but seem the variable text not working in Crystal reports. the header in Crystal report shown as Desription\technical name, not result from the variable text in Query BEX in SAP.
In https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Crystal%20Reports%20and%20BW%20query%20elements stated that the "Text variable" with "replacement path" is supported, but i don't know in my query is not working.
i already set in Database -> options-> table and fields -> Show Both, but the text variable still not working.

Why is the text not the visible in the protected PDF opened on Mac?

Long story short:
I've created a document in Microsoft Word 2010 and saved it as PDF. With the .pdf open now in Acrobat Reader 9.4.1 I have enabled the protection over the .pdf file by only allowing Printing and saved the protected .pdf. All of these actions are made on Windows 7 machine. Now when trying to open the protected .pdf on Mac (with Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and Preview) the .pdf opened only shows the lines and bullets but not the text.
Why is the text not visible in the protected PDF opened on Mac?
(is this bug or a "feature"?)
Note: the protected .pdf looks good on Windows 7 and it works on Mac if the .pdf has no protection.

A. What application are you using to add the protection? Reader cannot add any file security and I don't think the PDF feature of Word will either.
B. Mac Preview has issues with PDF standards so there may be some features that you will experience issues with that have no workarounds.
C. Have you checked the file after adding security to see if all fonts are embedded?

Actually, I just found the answer to my issue in this thread: The type correct/predict function for mail and text in iOS 8.0.2 was working fine then suddenly disappeared and reverted to the old style. I've checked all settings that seemed appropriate. How do I restore? I actually liked the new version.
Which says "a thin gray bar with a white dash in the middle of it immediately above the keyboard, you can reopen the suggestions by sliding up with one finger on the white dash."
That did it.
I too have noticed a change, it seems with the new IOS update. My Predictive setting is on, but it seems before it would come up more often in predicting words and also give me a few choices. Now, it's not coming up as much and only providing one 'predictive' word which is not always right. This change is not very useful.

The text 'Not Virus Scanned' is prepended to my subject lines

In iCloud (mac.com) messages I send, the text
"[Not Virus Scanned]" - it is being pre-pended to the subject line.
I hope that someone in the Apple/iCloud operations facility will actually look at what your
systems are doing. And I hope it is not the user named "Winston Churchill".

We're all just users here. Neither Apple nor anyone from the 'iCloud operations facility' monitors these posts.
Nobody here has any inside knowledge of under what circumstances any emails are 'edited' (if in fact they are) by any email systems between sender and recipient.
In 12 years of using Apple's email systems I have never seen a single email subject changed. However prepending text is not 'corruption'. Corruption means the data is unreadable/inaccessible. Adding a few extra characters does not make the subject unreadable.
All responsible email providers scan email for viruses. From Google searches it appears that such a message is added by some virus scanners to the subject only when an email attachment cannot be read (such as a password protected file, or a deeply nested zip file) and it serves as a warning to the recipient to exercise caution before opening the email. How many users routinely check SMTP headers before opening potentially damaging emails?

Node text not found in SPRO

Hi All,
In SPRO transaction Time Management-->Web Applications->leave request(new)-> node text not found
I am not able to find all the three subnodes under the node leave request (new)
It is displayed as node text not found .whenever we execute these nodes it gives out an error as "there are no executable transactions assigned to this node".
These nodes are available in the development server but not available on test server.we have already activated the BC sets through SCPR20 and found the activation log successful for all EA-IMG, EA-AKH,EA-MENU.
Also activated the switch EA-HR.and ours is not an upgraded system(.4.7)
Please Help to the earliest possible as it is very urgent for us.

Flash Text not displaying certain fonts

Thanks as always…
I am trying to use Flash text for some headings, but after an
hour of pulling my hair out I've just realised it will only display
certain fonts, such as Helvetica etc.
I added the font I want to use to my font list but it still
does not display…
I'm using MX on OSX 10.3.9.
Any ideas? Thansk.

Is your text in a dynamic text box, or static text box in
flash?
I don't think the issue concerns the "true-type" or not
"true-type" font.
In Flash, when text is part of a dynamic text box (which I
assume is the case in your situation),
then the font works just like in an html page:
if the font is installed on the computer it will show, if
not, it won't. The way around this, is to
embed the font data in the authoring flash file, and link it
to the dynamic text box, via actionScript.
So if you cannot work on the authoring Flash file with Flash
MX or Flash8, and if indeed we're
talking about a dynamic text box, your only option is to use
a web-safe font.

Smartforms-Text not printing completely

In my invoice printing one of the item columns which shows the text for the material description is getting trunctaed. Those ar elong texts but when we print it only 70 caharactrs appear and the rest gets cut and dosent show on the form . The text is stored in a variable g_kdmat whose associated type is TDLINE whose lenght is 132 but I dont understnd why only 70 characters appear in my invoice printing. Can anyone help me out with this please. Urgent please.

[SOLVED] Some text not rendering in Gnome after update

After a recent update some text is not rendering in Gnome. For example, look at the url bar of chromium in this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/A2Qyw.png
Here's a "screenshot" of some text not rendering in gnome-terminal:

I suspected libxi first but a downgrade did not resolve the problem. So you may very well be correct by connecting this to the xserver. I'm using nouveau by the way.

Response came back as text, not xml..

Hi
I've been creating a report in Answers and have created alot of bins. Up until now I've had no problem but when I try to add a new bin once I've put the operator and values in I get a red text error saying 'response came back as text, not xml'.
Can anyone advise why this is as it's only started happening and I can't see anything wrong with the formula.

CRM4.0: Add a text note at a PC-UI page

I want to add a text note to a PC-UI page. The text should always be the same for every business transaction and therefore not be added as separate field.
Is there a possibility to add a constant text note (150 char), without defining a new field (e.g. EEWB)? How to do this?

This should definitely work. Please verify the steps that you carried out for this. Add your event to the tabpage group. All you need to do is delete this event in the interface method check_active_tabstrip when the value expected is not available.
Also make sure you trigger the check_active_tabstrip method on change of your values. For example, if its a scenario based on field, in the fieldgroup structure check the attribute send request. Put a breakpoint in method check_active_tabstrip and see if its getting trigerred and if it triggers check for your event in the table CT_TABSTRIP. Hope this helps.
