i put text under all the photos on one roll in my library and it altered the text of ALL photos in the library..... how do i revert the other photos back to their original text? please help!

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

You mean while creating a book in iPhoto? Click on the layout button while viewing a page and select the layout that includes both text and photos. Most themes will have those options.

Can't add text to photo. text doesn't appear when typeing.

I can't add text to photo. The Horizontal Text Box appears but when typing there is no text seen. There is a cursor line which appears outside the text box.

Please change the size of text and make it smaller.

You can't add text to a Photo in iPhoto. You need an external editor for that:

Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)

Pixelmator ($50 approx)
Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

PDF of iPhoto book not displaying text under photos

Just created a wedding book in iPhoto 11 but when I saved it as pdf to proof it, text under photos was not there. I could see the top of some letters at bottom of photos. However, on my slide show and in reviewing the book in iPhoto, text is there. So, if I upload the wedding book to Apple (or whoever they contract with), will the text appear in the published book?

First there are no psychics here who can see the future - if you preview according to the Apple specs then the delivered product is guaranteed to match the resulting PDF

THIS IS HOW I HAVE BEEN DOING IT. TELL ME WHERE I AM NOT DOING IT RIGHT.
I DBL CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO BRING IT UP, THEN I CLICK FULL EDIT, THE I GET THE "T" FOR HORIZONTAL AND DRAG IT TO THE PHOTO, THEN I TYPE THE TEXT, THEN I CLICK THE GREEN ARROW TO COMMITT, THEN I SAVE A COUPLE OF TIMES,
THE
NOTHING HAPPENS THE TEXT IS GONE.
NEED STEP BY STEP HELP

IOS5 has wiped EVERYTHING, texts, emails, photos, contacts, music - can ANYONE help as Apple dont seem to bother

i have spent the past 24 hours (so far) attempting to download & use IOS5. First i got a message saying i have "error OxE8000065" then another message saying "iTunes was unable to load data class of information from Sync Services" and once, it was kind enough to download for 3 hours then said it had "timed out". I have now FINALLY got this IOS5 downloaded. what a mistake. I have also lost everything - music, texts, contacts, photos and do not know how to get this back. any ideas? if so, plz keep it simple as im no expert at these phones. i am on the verge of thowing this phone out the window and getting a blackberry or anything else to save this endless updating & losing data

Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).

On the introductory window, also make sure you pick from the top choices under Word Processing - I just use "Blank". If you choose the Blank under the sedon set (page layout), you will have to get a text box. I use that setting if I have a lot of images I want to insert and then have text around/near the images.

When you're done with that page, it should automatically move to the next one or you can choose another blank page in the pulldown in the toolbar.

I don't understand what eats my data to give me overage. I don't play games, or use apps, except texting and photos, I have facebook but rarely use it or read it, I try to clear and close anything opened

I don't use any apps maybe once in a blue moon google a question. no games or navigation, don't shop, I do have facebook, but rarely use it.because I look on computer. I try to clear and close after each use. So what else can I do to prevent something eating data? I am a senior and don't understand gigs etc. Maybe a few times a month I might post from cell to email a pic.

Just because you do not use an app does not mean it is not doing something in the background.
Facebook, for example... If you have used it one time it can be uploading any photos/videos you take with your phone on a regular basis even if you don't open it up again. Have you checked your settings in these apps to only sync while on wifi. This can cause a lot of data usage if you did not.
If you don't feel you need the app, either delete it or disable it.
Once you open an app the first time, it is activated and unless you make sure the app settings are such that you will not use a lot of data, you should assume they will. Especially apps which have the capability to upload photos/video from your phone.

IMessage only can send text with photo but not text only

How come my iMessage can only sent text with photo but not text only. While entered text the send button is blue and gray.the button could become blue and white when only photo was being inserted. My iPad 2 iOS version 5.0.1.

Did I lose my texts and photos

On Friday the 10th I restored my phone to factory settings. On Saturday I added my contacts back in and I received some important texts and took some important photos. On Sunday when I attached my phone to my laptop iTunes gave me 2 choices....start as new phone or restore to 10/10? I chose the latter b/c I had just restored as factory (new phone) and didn't want to do that again but what really happened was it restored everything to the way it was before I restored it to factory settings. So my question is are those important texts and photos that I received and took on Saturday gone forever or is there a way to get them? I did not sync my phone in between and when I log on to iCloud.com there are no photos but I'm not sure if that's b/c of something I did or b/c of IOS8.

You shouldn't lose these by changing the Apple ID on your phone. However, you should be importing your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and backing up your contacts by syncing them with iCloud (Settings>iCloud>Contact>On), with a supported program using iTunes (such as Outlook, Windows Contacts or mac Address Book), or by using an app like My Contacts Backup.
Also, even after changing the Apple ID on your phone in Settings>Store you will still have to enter the password for his ID when updating apps purchased with this ID. (Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them originally.)

Page Text and Photos dissapear when I Publish

Here is a new problem I am encountering and wondering if there is anyone who knows how to resolve this. I have one certain page on my website that when I publish it to the desktop, and open it, the page header is there, but all the text and photos are gone. I'm using the "black" theme and I believe I used the welcome template. The page consists of a text box and photos, using the media place holders. The text is just white arial font, like on all my other pages. Since this is a page full of people writing in to the website, the correspondence from each person is separated by a graphic line. I have used the graphic line on other pages to separate want ads and on those pages, I am not having a publishing problem. I have already recreated this page from scratch once. It published fine a few times then one day all the text and pictures have disappeared again. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? I've tried deleting the cashe and we've tried "repair permissions - disk utilities."

Posting more info on this problem:
I did a test and think I have found a clue on what is going on. I carefully recreated the original page from scratch first with text only. I published it to make sure the text would publish. Then I added the photos back to the page using the image placeholders. I then published again and both text and photos are still there. Next, I duplicated the page, called it Mail Page #2, and noticed as soon as the page was duplicated, the section with text and photos now has a "text Imaging Indicator" on it in that section. the original page does not have that indicator. When I published the site again and this page now is publishing blank (all black, text and photos missing; only the header remains and that actually is a text w/shadow, so its an image). The original page where the imaging indicator did not turn on, that page is still publishing normally. So this has something to do with iWeb converting that section that has text and pictures, into an image. Other than that, I am still at a loss as to why it happens or how to avoid it. If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. I will post back if I have additional info.
