Text out of TV screen

I just burned my first project in DSP4. It worked just great, BUT: The text i have in the header of the meny, that was looking great in the simulater, was "moved" out of sight on the TV screen. The project was in 4:3 PAL. I used one of the templates following the software. Please!!!???

look for an option under view "Title safe area" - Viewing video content varies from TV to TV. Keep your text within the shadded area and you should be fine.

Zooming text out starting off screen

Hi all,
I'm trying to recreate the Star Wars title sequence and have no problem with the scrolling text, but I'm being dumb with the actul logo zooming out.
I'm aiming to start with text zoomed right in so that some of the text is off screen. And then set it to zoom out so it is readable. But Changing the scale of the text to be zoomed in and part off screen just means that when I zoom out the edges are clipped and it zooms out the visible part of the text.
Please point out where I'm missing the obvious!

When you create a new title, it gives you a chance to size it. The default in a fairly standard HD sequence looks like this:
Just add a zero to each value. That ought to give you plenty of room to work! (Edit: I just noticed it resized it for me!)

Field Length of the text field on the screen

Hello Experts,,
I have field with its label on the screen. Now the label text is picked up from data dictionary as defined.
Data element       J_3ARQDA                       Active
Short Description: Requested delivery date

Heading         5        Dldat
Now the text in different laguage say russian is quite bigger in length as compared to english ones. Now on the sales order screen i have the text 'Dldat', but the russian user needs a bigger word than just 'Dldat'.
Approach : I changed the heading length to some '25' from '5' to accomedate the russian text in DDIC for data element. But if i have to adjust the same on the screen with new text length i have to extend the screen border as well.
Is this right approach ? If not how do we actually accomedate the other language texts on the screen with out altering the screen borders ( length and breadth).

I tried doing that with a couple of invoices but I dont see the Long text printed on the check after the automatic payment run. Can you please suggest me if I am missing on anything. I inserted a long text and a '*" before this to have it printed on the check which does not seem to work. Can you please suggest me alternative solution.

InDesign text out of sight in page!

Dear All,
I have one problem in text out of sight in page! using InDesign CS5.5 windows.@@
In my InDesign document have 7 pages, and 3 column text flow, When I removed the 3rd column one anchored text frame it will "text out of sight" into the 2nd column text. But I can find the text and view in the story editor, but page layout its hide, and there is no reflow content and overset text warning, everything shown perfectly.
If I removed the main threated text frame and re-created the new text frame into the respective page the text its not hide its shown perfect. I found this solution, but I want to know the actual root cause.
Can you anyone help or suggest what is the reason?

Before delete the query frames: This is the original document its shown everything fine, I just delete the author query in the 3rd column.

Text printed with a screen.

I laid out and designed my book, which has an all black & white interior, in Adobe InDesign. I submitted a PDF file to CreateSpace to print. I received a Proof copy of the book. All of the text in the first chapter was printed with what appears to be a screen (tiny white dots over the black text). All of the other 380 pages in the book are correctly printed.
I notified CreateSpace and the response was:
“The team has confirmed that when reviewing the Interior file that was submitted to us, and the file that is used in Print, the pages with text containing white dots, is actually text with RGB color values. These values are lower than 100% black, and are printing as gray.”
I can see no difference in the swatch settings for the text in the first (screened) chapter of the book and the other chapters which were printed correctly. Is there anything I can do to insure that this problem does not happen when the book is printed?

I would suggest to run a preflight to make sure no RGB is found in the chapter. When exporting to pdf which settings are used? On the web you can find the correct settings for black/white pdfs.
Convert the first chapter to cmyk is another option, but check afterwards that all colours are "zero" and black is "100%".

Require password w/out turning off screen?

Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a solution to my issue. I am hoping to run a slide show on my laptop and would like to lock out users from turning it off/making changes. Is there a way to do a screen lock w/out shutting the screen off? I know I can require password when returning from suspend. But i do not wish to put the device into a suspend mode, but rather a "sleep with open eyes" type of thing.

Back up all data.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, copy the text on the line below into the box that opens, and press return:
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost
From the folder that opens, move the following file to the Desktop:
com.apple.screensaver.*.plist
Here * stands for a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes.
Log out and log back in. Reset your Screen Saver preferences, including the timeout. If you're able to do that, delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, you can put it back where it was.

If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it

Not losing the other screen would be useful as I would like to, for example, monitor my emails whilst watching a video or to work on a project whilst watching an instructional video.
Note : Resizing a window to fill the screen is not acceptable as it still leaves unsightly borders.

By using this you can place the text as a comment at a desired position on the selection screen.
The syntax would be like this :

Change of variable text in BEx selection screen

Hi all,
in our BW system the key users are allowed to create queries and also create variables. In some cases, especially for often used info objects like 0DATE the number of variables is increasing very quickly. The reason for this is, that 0DATE is used for a big variety of meanings e.g. delivery date, order date, invoice date etc.
So the users always create new variables only to have a meaningful description in the BEx selection screen, because they do not want only "date" to be displayed here. As result we have many different varianbles with exactly the same technical settings with only different names.
So my question is: Is it possible to change the diplayed text in the selection screen for each query without having to create a new variable?

How to get out of full screen mode in Firefox

Have tried to get out of full screen mode by pressing F11 and f11 and esc but nothing works. any suggestions?

Shift-CMD-F toggles full screen off and on in Fx. Also, if you've put the Full Screen icon in the Firefox Toolbar, bring the mouse cursor up to the top of the screen. This will reveal the toolbar and you can click on the icon to return to normal.
Get the icon from View>Toolbars>Customize. Drag it into the Toolbar somewhere.
