Text overlays and freeze

Question

I use a scrolling text from live type. This works fine but i want it to stop at the last "frame" and keep the information there displayed for an additional 7 seconds rather than scroll off. I Create this in live type and import it to FCE to add a background and one or two other disclaimers. I then export the whole thing as a movie to be placed in that "She who must be played" spot on Idvd.
I tried adding a still frame except the still frame did not some how render the background so i only got letters on a black screen - no background. I dinked around with several other things including putting a frame in from FCE but ten i ran into another issue.- Font matching. I have too many fonts installed and for the life of me cannot figure out how to correctly identify what font i am using either in FCE or LT - it doesnt seem to show up in the tidbits of information made available.
I tried creating a short fully rendered movie consisting of an exported still frame and my background and it still came up white letters over black background . I may be running around in circles here , but if there is anyway to freeze a frame during a scrolling title and keeping that as what is shown on the screen for the duration of the "credits" I would appreciate it if you could all advise so.

You can do this in Title Crawl using the last parameter in the controls. They normally go from 0 to 100%, that's starting off the screen and going until the text is off the screen. Toward the end you add a keyframe at some value like say 90% complete, then later add another keyframe that's also at 90%. The roll stops between those two keyframes. You can extend the length to whatever you want. As long as those keyframes are constant the text will be static on the screen.
