Text problem with Galaxy s5

My Galaxy s5 is randomly deleting sent and received texts. I will receive notification of received texts, open it and before I finish reading, it is gone. I will send a text and it will say sent and then be gone. I have my settings to store 100 messages per conversation and delete oldest when limit is reached. this has happened even in coversations with less than the set amount.

I know how important it is to have your text messages sent and received properly via your mobile device manning2379. I'm sorry for your issues. Are you using a 3rd party messaging app? If so, please temporarily disable this app and use the stock app to see if that could be the issue. Also delete some of the old and long threads you no longer need. clearing memory can always help with phone issues, along with clearing the browser history. Keep us posted.

Hi, I have a problem with filtering binary documents (.doc, .pdf, etc...). I use SQL*PLUS for remote access to Oracle 10.2 on Linux and I create table:

I don´t know, where is bug, either bug is somewhere in this code or on the server (wrong installation oracle or constraint privileges). Do you know in what is bug?

Text problems with Illustrator CS6

Hello. We are having problems with text in Illustrator CS6. 1. When we copy / paste text within illustrator all color information is lost. 2. When we save documents in Illustrator CS6 then re-open text with color attributes changes to different random colors!! For example: If we save an Illustrator document with a paragraph of text that is part red and part black when we re-open the same paragraph might be all gray, or orange or (you pick a color). Can anyone help us here as this is causing no end of grief. Mac OSX 10.8.2

As promised. This is the response received from iClipboard re the text color problems with Illustrator CS6.
"Sounds like an Adobe problem especially given their last fix which changed how they worked with the system clipboard. We don't mess with any of the data put on the system clipboard. We simply make an exact copy of it and store it in iClipboard. It's a READ operation, not a WRITE operation so no data on the clipboard is changed. We use standard Apple API's to do all of this (proof is that iClipboard is in the Mac App Store--Apple's review process doesn't allow undocumented API calls)."
My thanks to the people at iClipboard however the problem still exists. I'll sum up the issue this way. I have created a paragraph of text in Illustrator that combines black text with red text. I copy then paste the text with iClipboard running and the pasted text is all black. I copy then paste the text with iClipboard disabled and the copied text maintains the color information. When I save the Illustrator document with iClipboard running then reopen the black / red text reopens as grey / orange. With iClipboard disabled the reopened document is fine - go figure. The problems only occur with text - images are fine though they were a problem with the first version of Illustrator CS6. Anyone got any suggestions??

Nokia 500 display light and texting problems with ...

After installing Belle I have some VERY annoying problems with my Nokia 500.
While texting it turns the display light up and down.
When I write fx a name and press # to use a big letter, it doesn't automatically go back to small letters after writing the first letter. I have to press # again.
I have never had this problem before Belle, with any phone.
Its really annoying and timeconsuming having to delete what I just wrote coz it has continued to write in big letters.
Also after Belle, when browsing the text with > and < it doesn't highligt a whole word, so i can change it. If for some reason I accidently delete the last letter in a word, I have to delete the whole word and write it again. Never had that problem before either.
Have I done something wrong to get these annoying problems, or do others also have these problems?
Is there a fix for Belle coming up?
And why on earth put out software with so many problems...? I wish I had never "upgraded" to Belle!!
Hope this is not to confusing, and that someone has a fix for this.

i believe there is an option in the Messaging options to actually turn off word prediction, so that it is off by default every time you start up the Messaging app. i also think that instead of navigating it with the > and <, you can actually tap the word on screen and it will highlight that word for you.
as for the display issue, not so sure. have you checked via Nokia Suite that you have the latest firmware installed for your device? if so, then try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite.
Symbian is in maintenance mode, therefore will no longer see any more major firmware updates, only perhaps the odd bug fix or two.

Texting problems with iphone 5

I recently bought a factory unlocked iphone 5 and I've been having trouble sending text messages from it.
1. I cannot send text messages but I CAN send iMessages and MMS's. If I type something in the subject line, even if it's a blank space, and then type something in the body, then it will go. But if I don't type anything in the subject line then the text doesn't get delivered. Similarly, if I keep MMS switched off then messages don't go through.
I can, however, receive texts and imessages.
2. I can't activate iMessage or FaceTime. Both get stuck on waiting for activation. However, my appleid is recognised and I can send/receive iMessages using that even though it is still "waiting for activation".
3. When I try to FaceTime, the call goes through and then either gets stuck on connecting or I get a message saying I'm not not available for FaceTime ( I tried calling myself from my iPad 2 to iPhone 5 and vice versa)
I live in the UAE so I know that FaceTime is not available on apple products meant for this geographical location, but iphones and ipads bought from other countries were able to run these apps without any problem. iMessage was always available and our phone numbers were easily activated on the iPhone 4/S
Anyone have any idea on how to get this to work again? Especially the normal texting bit.

I think it's a problem with unlocked phones cos if you google it you come across a lot of people in different locations using different carriers having this problem. i'm hoping its a software and not a hardware problem.
I have a dual sim for the same number and when i use the other microsim in my iphone 4 i can send/recieve text messages just fine. i have a problem only on the iphone 5.

Voice Dialing problems with Galaxy S3

One of the critical safety features of any phone is the ability to place a call by voice command while driving.
The Samsung Galaxy S III has two major failings in supporting this basic need. Problems with S Voice and problems placing calls from a locked phone using a bluetooth headset.
S Voice supports voice dialing, although rather poorly. S Voice is slow to process what I've said (unlike voice typing in every other app) and frequently fails due to "network error".
But worst of all, if I set S Voice to never auto-dial (because I want to confirm that it hasn't misrecognized who I am trying to call), rather than reading me the name it matched and asking me if I want to dial, it only displays the match on-screen, which is useless when driving.
Even if I am willing to trust S Voice to auto-dial, there is still a fatal flaw in voice dialing that I haven't found a way around.
In the phone app, under call settings, Accessory settings for call, Outgoing call conditions, you are able to set whether, when using a bluetooth headset, you are able to use the headset's call button to place a call when the phone is locked.
The problem is the phone's definition of "locked".
If the phone's security is set to only need to swipe the screen to unlock, this feature works as you would expect. However, anyone who is concerned about security of their data would never consider this setting as locked.
If you have your phone's security set to require anything other than a swipe, be it face recognition, PIN, pattern or password, you are unable to place a call using your bluetooth headset's call button.
In other words, there is no safe way to place a call while driving unless you leave your phone with no security.
Ignoring for the moment the significant shortcomings of S Voice for dialing, as delivered to the customer you can not safely use your Galaxy S3 to place a call while driving.
Has anyone found a way to place a call when the screen is locked with a PIN?
Better yet, has anyone found a voice dialing app that works on the Samsung Galaxy S3 as a replacement for S Voice?
Any suggestions on how to get the Galaxy S III to match the capabilities of every other phone I've ever owned will be greatly appreciated.

THANK GOODNESS, someone to feel my pain! LOL On some other forums, I have been attacked for complaining about S-Voice. All of you just described what I am going through. And like Adamant, I am probably going to take the phone back tomorrow. And, also, like Adamant, I don't want to! Dang it! I just want to use my phone HANDS FREE! I have contacted Verizon, Samsung and Jawbone and am more confused than before. Samsung said my phone was too smart for my bluetooth! And that there was nothing they could do about my phone not recognizing my sister's name. This is my favorite example: I say 'Call Rite Aid Pharmacy' simple enough. Phone says 'I can do an internet search for 'Call Rite Aid Pharmacy' !!!!!!!! About enough to make me want an iPhone! not really. But I am going to trade 'down' for a Razr Maxx, I think?

Audio problems with galaxy S

Hi all,
i'm developing on Android, via AdobeAir, a voip application that allows users to make audio/video calls.
I'm facing audio problems when testing it on a Samsung Galaxy S.
audio snaps, the quality is very bad and on the other side it's impossible to recognize what it's spoken.
on other devices it works perfectly and the audio quality is great.

I can only offer possible assistance with your first issue. It sounds like your center channel is completely unhooked or disabled somehow. Have you tried running the speaker test, and if you have, do you hear the center channel?

Text problems with printing to PDF from AutoCAD 2011

When we print to PDF from AutoCAD, the text in the PDF looks wrong/bad. It takes on a jagged appearance and doesn't look anything like what the font is supposed to look like. Any suggestions?

Yup. It's not that it won't do it, it is just limited to 129". Thanks for the thought. When you print in Acrobat you can see the document size and the page size the program is assuming below the print window. The properties have been set, document adjusted, page size customized. It works exactly as it's designed (according to Adobe help, their knowledge base, etc) but only up to 129". Can do it at any size, decminal, etc. up to and including 129 inches. Prints beautiful, doesn't get chopped no issues at all. Just hits a wall at 129". Been doing it with blueprints for years. Just never needed it this big. In my case it's not a printer/plotter limitation. It's the Adobe PDF printer which is advertised to be able to cusomize page size to 15,000 inches.
Tried customizing in post script, no luck there either.
Again, I very much appreciate the suggestions....

Texting problem with Apple 6

My SMS text messages will not deliver from Apple 6

My device is Apple iPhone 6. The other device is a Droid. Texting works fine to other iPhones.
I have only tried texting to the Droid from this one location.
I have tried it both with Wi-Fi on and Wi-Fi off on my phone. With Wi-Fi off, my iPhone switches to Verizon LTE.

Text Problem with a Nokia 3109 Classic

Work have recently updated my phone to a Nokia 3109 Classic.
The problem I have which i am finding very annoying is when I send a text message from this phone it stays at the composed message and does not return back to the main messaging screen.
Is there any update that will fix this??

That's how Nokias are.....I agree, it's bizarre. I suppose they think you might want to send the same message to somebody else! But often I forget whether I've sent it at all.

Texting problems with Samsung S3

Brand new Samsung S3.
No apps installed.
Few hours out of box and experiencing issues when sending text messages.
Whenever I send a text message it keeps telling me the message failed. No error code. However, the recipient receives multiple of the identical message.
Again, no apps have been installed; using stock messaging application.
This happens in any location (home, work, other locations). Full bars of connectivity (showing 4G icon).
Any suggestions? Faulty phone?

Yes, removing battery and then did a hard reset as well. Problem still occurred.
However, as of today the problem seems to have resolved itself.
Let's give it another day and time will tell.

Text Problems on Galaxy s5

I have Galaxy s5 and use verizon messages. I received a text from Redbox. When I went to respond, a pop up asked if I wanted to block sending messages to numbers that may incur charges. I accidently hit it. Now I can not respond to things like redbox or dr appt reminders. How do I turn this off?

I apologize for our confusion. I use Verizon Messages as well and know exactly what you speak of when first initiating a message to a shortcode. I checked through the settings of Verizon Messages and did not find a specific option to restore the shortcode functionality of the app. I did noitice the option to "Restore All Default Settings" by pressing while in Verizon Messages, Menu>Settings and then the additional menu button at the top right. You can also try through the general phone Settings>Application Manager>All>Verizon Messages>Clear data. I am eager to hear positive results!

Flashing text problems with Mozilla Firefox

My website works ok in Internet Explorer but i have flashing text issues in Mozilla Firefox.
www.so-nouveau.com , it seems to ok on the mac in mozilla.
Anyone had this problem or can suggest another forum or solution of any kind.

I have texting and calling problems with only 1 person.

I use to be an old iphone user ( I had a iphone 4 for 3 years) before switching to a galaxy s4 in september 2013, at first I had texting problems so I changed everything and turned off iemssage on my old phone and texting worked fine with everybody. I then started talking to this girl quite often and we have massive texting problems. she has a iphone and I have a galaxy s4. She doesnt receive MOST of my texts and I do not ALWAYS receive her texts either, sometimes it works for a short period of time but besides that, it does not work. The wierd part is that My phone works with everybody else and her phone works with everybody else, it just doesnt work between us. does anyone have a solution to this?

Problems with importing text messages from PC Suit...

Problems with importing text messages from PC Suit 7.1.18.0 to my Nokia 5800
I am trying to import a csv file that contains text messages (Note that this file was created using PC Suit 7.1.18.0) to a subfolder that I have created to My Folders but PC Suits only imports the text messages to the Draft folder. Note that initially it shows that the messages are import in the correct folder but after a refresh it shows them in the Draft Folder. Is their any setting that I should change in the PC Suit or the phone? My computer runs on Windows XP Service Pack 3 and the Nokia 5800 was upgraded to the latest firmware v20.0.012

Most phones only allows importing of draft and archived box for SMS.
To do a restoring, you need to backup the SMS as a .nbu file using PC Suite and restore later.
If you got an SD card, you can also do a backup on the SD Card (backup.arc) then restore later (reset and restore: backup.arc and mmc).
