Text stroke not creating sharp corners.

Hi Everybody,
I've run into a peculiar problem.
I've got a text layer with quite a thick stroke (13 pixels). "Line Join" is set to "Miter" (for sharp corners). The problem is the stroke on one letter ("t"), is not sharp, but "cuts off". I know in Illustrator, you have a "Miter Limit" setting to fix this. Is there a way in AE to fix this? I need the text to animate, so I can't use a path of bitmap layer. Any thoughts on this?

I would assume that this is not an AE problem. In the place where it doesn't behave correctly, most likely two nodes in the text contour are very close, resulting in unfavorable calculations. Short of editing the font there would be no way to "fix" this. You can, however, just use the Stroke layer style. If you make the text larger and set it to Inner Stroke, it willl be sharp. Since it is calculated as pixels, not vectors, it would not suffer the problem of the text outline...

Left aligned text does not create a link in Muse 2014.

I am creating my own breadcrumb and noticed that if the text is left aligned the first word or words of the breadcrumb in the text box are near impossible to highlight with the text tool, and any page link added does not function. However, if the same breadcrumb is right aligned within the same text box everything works as it should and all the links function. Realign the text to left and the first link of the breadcrumb is knocked out of action again. I have tried adding padding or space to push the first link away from the left edge of the text box but that does not work.
Also, if the first link of the breadcrumb is say three words long, and the link is applied to all three words only the last word functions, example "Store Home Page > Widgets 1 > Widgets 2" here the only links that would function would be "Page > Widgets 1 > Widgets 2" right align and "Store Home Page > Widgets 1 > Widgets 2" function.

A hard edged glow is probably the closest you'll come. Unfortunately, Flash is not yet intended as a graphics tool, although I often find it suits my needs without any need to look to graphics software.

Typeface on webpages is not as sharp as it was with Internet Explorer.

I'm using Windows XP. I recently switched my browser to Firefox (LOVED the easy download and simple homepage format and the clear Getting Started instructions!). However, I notice that the typeface or print of text is not as sharp in Firefox as it is when I use Internet Explorer 8. Is there any way to fix this?

You can enable ClearType system wide for all programs to make other programs like Firefox use it.

I can not create link within common foldesr

Sharp corners not defaulting to sharp stroke

Sharp cornered items such as star or a simple rectangle should always default to sharp corners for strokes, not mitered or rounded ones.

Thanks Sudarshan. I've marked your answer as correct, but do you know to modify what has been drawn with the pencil? For instance, if I want to add 10 to all inputs in the inclusive range of 65-75, I can click in the curves dialog at (65,75) and then shift-click at (75,85) to create a sloped straight line which does what I need, but it's quite difficult to get the mouse to 'hover' precisely on those values. One of the nice things in the regular curves dialog is you can press the + and - keys to move through the adjustment points and then use the arrow keys to precisely position them.

Text Entry Captions not created

Using Adobe Captivate 5.0 - Training mode is not creating the Text Captions for Text Entry Boxes, even though selected in the Training/Recording settings. Creates Text Entry box, but no Text Caption. Really want this to work when recording SAP simulations, but doesn't even seem to work when recording internet browser or MS Oulook either. Any ideas? Thanks.

Perhaps it will help if I simply describe how Captivate usually works. There are several ways to record. There is "Full Motion" (FMR) where everything is recorded just like a movie. Not the best way of working bit is possible. In FMR no captions or anything of the sort is added during the recording process, but you may add them later if you like.
Then there is the "slide by slide" capture mode. Each click of the mouse generally results in a screen capture. But this mode of capturing has four variations.
* Demonstration
* Training Simulation
* Assessment Simulation
* Custom
Demonstration mode provides text captions for activity. Click this or that. Also, highlight boxes are added along with tracking mouse movement.
Both of the simulation modes will ignore text captions, mouse tracking and highlight boxes. Instead, these modes simply add Click Boxes and Text Entry Boxes to allow "simulation" or interacting with the Captivate. These objects offer "Feedback" captions to indicate Correct or Incorrect actions.
From what you have described, you want to enable "Custom" recording mode where you choose the mix of elements you get.
However, NONE of these modes will analyze what is happening and describe it to the user. Instead, they may or may not recognize what you are clicking on in order to create captions. You might see funky names like "Click the TechnicalNameForControl" control.

This is possible, but it is a serious project, not something to be cut around from sample code. You will need to study the "graphics" and "text" chapters of the PDF specification in some detail to understand the PDF graphics model, including colour spaces, graphics state, and transformation matrixes; if working with annotations understand them and the requirement for appearance stream. There are various ways to add content to a PDF, but the PDFEdit API is probably the most accessible.

Return key not creating a new line when using the horizontal text tool

Going through the adobe after effects 'classroom in a book' examples - when writing a line of single line using the horizontal text tool pressing return does not create the next line underneath, the cursor stays on the same line?

My OS is windows 7. I think it is the first time I have needed to put more than one line of text in an after effects layer. I am new to CS5.5 - after effects and I'm going through an adobe tutorial 'classroom in a book' series book.
I thought about using a paragraph text box as you suggest but could not find the function in the tools menu.
I have since tried clearing the cache out and restoring default layout but with no joy.
I have used the return key for multiple line text in premier pro and it works perfectly ok.

Using a Variable in SSIS - Error - "Command text was not set for the command object.".

I am using a OLE DB Source in my dataflow component and want to select SQL Query from the master table I have created variables v_Archivequery
String packageLevel (to store the query).

Now in the OLE Db source, I have selected as Sql Command from Variable, and I am getting the variable, v_Archivequery .
But when I am generating the package and when running I am getting bewlo errror
Error at Data Flow Task [OLE DB Source [1]]: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E0C.
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client" Hresult: 0x80040E0C Description: "Command text was not set for the command object.".
Can Someone guide me whr am going wrong?

What happens if you hit Preview button in OLE DB Source Editor? Also you can use the same query by selecting SQL Command option and test.
Could you try set the Delay Validation = True at Package and re-run ?
If set the query in variable expression (not in value), then Set Evaluate As Expression = True.

Session Timeout Alert text is not getting displayed on web ui.

In "Session Timeout Alert" pop up we are facing one issue. The pop up is getting displayed as per the value in rdisp/plugin_auto_logout parameter i.e. 1800. But the text is not getting displayed.
I have implemented the SAP Note 1877120 also. Any inputs to resolve this issue.

When we do pre activities related to OTR, need to save it in standard name space only ? could you guide me pls.
in the below we have Alias and package are standard.
1.) There are 4 texts which needs to be configured via SOTR_EDIT to get the translation according your languages implemented in your CRM.
a.) Start doing it by opening transaction SOTR_EDIT.
b.) Change to the language you would like to use.
c.) As ALIAS enter first CRM_IC_CMP_FRAME/SESSION_PING_TITLE. Click on Create and confirm the following dialogues.
d.) Enter CRM_IC_CMP_FRAME as package and the object type as WAPP.
e.) Finally enter the translation according your language from the english version (length of text: 25):

f.) Save you changes
