The startup.exe file is locate in the \NI-RT\STARTUP directory. 'cd NI-RT' then 'cd STARTUP' should get you to the right place after making the connection with ftp. I don't recognize PH_EXEC.EXE. Logging in as anonymous is fine. I don't recall seeing documentation on the file structure and locations on the module but I'm sure there is some. I just wandered around w/ftp.
The program to update the node should be below. Enter the IP address, the green light will confirm the node is found.
The version function scans the existing startup.exe for a string beginning and ending with " RU Version " and prints everything in between as the version.
The autostart function will copy the existing ni-rt.ini file to your computer, mod
ify the autostart as requested, then put the file back. Leaves the copy on the PC, which can be handy.
Send file will request a file of the format startup*.dat which will be renamed startup.exe and ftp'd to the module. Lets you keep version numbers in the filename on the PC side. Your directory structure probably won't match mine so you'll have to browse for your file.
Reboot module reboots the module.

Help! Text to Voice icon missing

I just downloaded the Text to Voice Extension, and donated $5.00. I can see that it downloaded successfully, it is in my Add-ons Manager, but there is no little speaker icon to be found anywhere on my screen. What should I do? I tried to go to the programmer's homepage but I got this: "Directory has no index file. Browsing this site or directory without an index file is prohibited."

That worked, thank you. I didn't know what the tab strip was, so I looked that up too. When I control-clicked, I could see that Add-on Bar didn't have a check mark, so I clicked it and now I have the speaker icon showing on the bottom right. Thanks.

OCS 9.0.4.1 installed on three machines: infrastructure and storage on the first SPARC Solaris 9, midletier on the second SPARC Solaris 9, and Voice Conversion and Document Conversion Servers version 2.0.4.2.0 on the Windows 2000 Server. Dialogic card D/41h is installed on Windows machine with Dialogic drivers SR5.1.1. Dialogic tests run successfully.
Dialogic card is connected to one PSTN analog line. Dialogic card is enabled manually (as recommended).
"imtctl runtests" result for voiceconvtest is "false" and for docconvtest is "true". Document conversion works. Voice conversion fails.
"imtctl getmonitorstats" on machine with conversion servers shows:
"voiceconv available - true
T1-line-status - false
In-use-channels - 0
Idle-channels - 0
Bad-channels - 0 "
Then, if I try to enable voice streaming or record voice stream and push "connect" button, I get a message "Connection failed: An unknown error occurred while connecting to the voice streaming service". After that, I found the following exception message in "Monitor -> Conference details" log in administrator web interface:

This exception message is presented just after "dialin-status - dialing" message in log.
InstanceLocation parameter values on both midtier and voice conversion servers are the same.
Bouncing midtier and voice conversion servers gives no results.
Please help me to understand what's wrong and what do I need to set up to get correctly operating Voice Conversion Server.

I do not belive the you could run it without hacks. VMware peratty well isolate/subsitute the environment. What differs MAC from a PC is the BIOS. OS X just makes some calls into EFI/NVRAM to check if it run on accepted hardware. VMware hacks to run OS X are to boot from special EFI which pretend MAC. In other words VMware emulate only PC virtual machine, I have never heard of MAC virutal machine for any virtualization software.

Local Voice Conversation Recording with VG224 (Dual home topology)

We have VG224 which is connected to two different Core switch, I have centralized based CUCM BE & one voip recorder in the network, requirement is very simple if any one of the core switch goes down all things should work on alternate Core switch.
Currently we are able to record voice conversation between any IP to IP phone, any IP to Analogue phone & vice versa & between analogue phones which are connected to two different VOIP Gateways.
But we couldn't able to record voice conversation between analogue phones which are connected to same VOIP gateway. Please refer below configuration philosophy and if you have any other suggestion considering below philosophy please suggest.
I have created two SIP trunk one is from VOIP gateway to Cucm & other one is for CME SRST and managing SIP trunks by using preference. The reason behind creating SIP trunk rather than to get VOIP gateway registered with CUCM is we have dual Ethernet interface and these Ethernet interface are connected to two different Core switches and if i choose to get this VOIP gateways registered with CUCM then I have to specify last 10 character of Mac ID as we have two Ethernet interface then which Ethernet Mac ID will be used? if we are going with same philosophy then analogue phone which are connected to same VOIP gateway doesn't need any IP address to communicate with each other so the result will be the same as mentioned above. If possible then please suggest on the same.

Currently my Cisco VG224 is registered with Cucm over MGCP do we have any configuration by doing it we can force VG224 to send local RTP Stream to switch and by using SPAN/RSPAN we can record the same?

How can I remove accessibility text and voice over from the logon screen?

Before I log on to my Mac, in the logon screen I get accessibility text and voice over features enabled all the time. I can remove them by pressing cmd + f5 several times until they're gone (while I'm still in the logon screen). I would like to remove them permanently so that they never appear in the logon screen.

Can you provide an example? I've been trying (for

Error with PS text after Unicode conversion

Hi, we are having problem after doing unicode conversion with special
character not displayed correctly in a Web interface. In SAP
(transaction CN04) everything is OK, but if the PS text is displayed
through a Web interface (BSP for instance) some characters are
displayed wrong. One of these characters is the apostrophe in French
language ('). Is there an available tool to perform a conversion of
existing PS text after performing unicode upgrade ?

Error text in BAPI conversion

Hello All,
I have a requirement where A bapi's response should be in the language of the called party. I found that BAPI's response is always in english. I need to convert this response message into the calling language. I found a BAPI which converts the response codes/ texts into the required language.
My initial solution was to use BPM and call the conversion BAPI with the response from the 1st BAPI and then send this converted response to the Calling( sender) system. Could anybody give me the BPM steps needed to acheive this , or is there a better way to achieve it without using BPM and the 2nd BAPI ?
Basically i would liek to know how to call two BAPIs in sequence with the response of the first BAPI used as request of the second BAPI and the response of the second BAPI is sent to the Sender System .

Database to text/ascii/html conversion

I need to convert an Oracle db to a text file. Preservation of the exact format of the db is not critical, although desireable, but the entire contents of the db in text format (headers aside) is. Is there a filter or migration utility that will easily do this? Conversion to html or xml would be acceptable. Thank you in advance.

This is not the right forum, and the question really doesn't make sense. There's no simple mapping between a relational database and a flat text file.
You can generate XML from an individual table of the database - see the XML developers kit for more details.
