Text tool is set as default form right to left

I've been using Ilustrator CS6 for a while and the default text tool is set as right to left and I want it to be left to right. I don't use at all any hebrew or arabic texts. Can it be changed to occidental default???

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

I am new to Java3D.
I am facing some problem from long time in some visual effects.
Recently I heard about Java3D and I think its better to ask help through this site.
Here is the problem that I am facing.
I am designing one site.
On which the client wants to kept some animation images.
As there company had already completed 10 years and he want to put 10years animation on there site.
So is there a possibility to make the 10 years animation using Jave3D.
What I have to do is I have to rotate 10 number from right to left continuously. What I mean is
At starting 10 number had to display.
Next 10 number have to start rotating from right direction 10--->
Next 10 number have to view its back side after some moment as 01
Next after some moment it have to come to its origional direction from left hand side as -->10
So that the viewer can feel that 10 is rotating from right direction to left direction.

I know that there are too many graphic tools to develop this, but due to limitations in budget I have to complete with coding itself.
Hope You all understood my problem and I will get the solution through all of you.
Can any one suggest what to do, or coding if any.

One of our friends didn't get what I am asking (with subject :- Rotating 10 number form right to left direction....Urgent), that's why I am explaining my problem again.
Number (like 9 or 10 or 11 or...) has to rotate in 360 degrees.
We are all familiar with rotating " 3D gif's" like rotating globe and email rotating in 360 degrees.
Like wise I want to rotate numbers in 360 degrees using java3D.
Set area size with 100 X 130 with some background color and 10 number with stand-alone position.
Then 10 number have to start rotating in 360 degrees, starting from right direction to left direction, within the same place.
And this process has to be going on until next page has called.
This animation had to be placed before the company logo, notifying that out company had completed 10 years.
I know that there are too many graphic tools to develop this, but due to limitations in budget I have to complete with coding itself.
Hope You all got my problem.
So please suggest or instructions what to do, or coding if any.
Please explain in detail, because I am new to java3D

Can I typeset Chinese in InDesign CC? I have downloaded the Chinese version of InDesign CC, but couldn't get the text to go from top to bottom and right to left. Do I need to download some sort of plug-in for this type of work?

There's little to nothing Adobe Reader can do about this.
The free Adobe Reader cannot create PDF, cannot export PDF page content and cannot manipulate PDF page content.
What is "on" a PDF reflects what was "printed" to PDF from back in the authoring file.
It is within the authoring file where you must make adjustments.
A related "source" issue is what label stock is specifically supported by the authoring application.
While all vendors claim their stuff is alway the same as your stuff that is often not the case.
A 1/64 th of an inch or less difference will put a wooden shoe in the works.

PDF form field alignment - Right to Left

Actually I developed a form which pushes the entire PDF as an attachment by email when pressing on a send button created within the form.
I have also added a text to appear within the email body message in Arabic language but its appearing on the left side of the screen and I want the alignment to be set by default to right.
The code I use for the email body message to appear is:

I noticed in outlook that the text direction is active once the pdf is ready to be pushed by email, hope this snap will clear it up for you guys.
I still though need to add a script to make it appear on the right without human intervention.

Well I dont think so since we can add to the sentences in the script spaces[ ], new lines [\n],etc.. then we should be able to align them somehow.

TTS(text to speech) right to left

I am currently tryign to format a TTS panel to read form right to left.
I enter the text right click the boc and select right to left and hte text moves, but as soon as I click out of the box the text jumps back to left to right.
I have tried different ways of doing this like changing the direction first for example.
Has anyone experienced this and if so how can I rectify this?

Thanks for your reply. That's what I was afraid of. (I could probably program such interface myself, but I really don't like working with Microsoft code, libraries and interfaces... and I have a bit of a time constraint)

Can't find 'Make current properties default' in Text Tool

I'm trying to change the default font size for my Add Text tool.
What I've been trying is creating a text box and adding some text in it.
Then I try right clicking in the box, on the text, after doing a Select All.
None of the boxes that pop up give me the option to 'Make Current Properties Default'.
What's the right way to change the defaults to Add Text?

Unfortunately there is no way. I'd also like this to have. But you need to remind yourself that Acrobat is not a text editor.
All you can set in the preferences is font and font height for comments.

There are a couple of ways of doing this:
If you're editing on the canvas, press Shift + Enter.
If you're working in Express View (see lower right hand corner of Project Siena), you'll need to copy a hard return from another app such as Notepad.
I believe a better implementation of hard returns are in the list of requested functionality that you can find here:

Defaulting Bold in Text Tool in Adobe Acrobat 8

Good Afternoon,
I have a user who has Adobe Acrobat Standard 8. She wants her default text tool to use a bold font. I was able to figure out how to change the default color of the text tool (and keep it), but bold does not stay. Does anyone know how to set the default font to bold in the Text Tool.

I do not know how you created the PDF. You might try going back and printing to the Adobe PDF printer. Open AA6 and then select the file that way. Does this work?

This issue has already been identified, tracked with bug number *14683491*, and has been resolved in development. The fix will be available in our next release. In the meantime, you can still set Application Defaults using the option available in Application Builder. Navigate to Application Builder, and select the Application Builder Defaults option in the Tasks region to the right of the page, pg 4000:1500.

Then use a Layout template.
I am a designer and I use Word Processing templates with layout breaks and all the other tools available because Layout templates are just WP templates with a lot of options removed.
Pages is not Indesign, but then Indesign is not Pages, …and Pages 5 is not Pages '09.
Unless your flyers are for the Web, why are you using Pages at all?
I am curious, what does your post have to do with the O.P.'s question? …and why are you posting it here?

Can I set the default save location in text edit to dropbox?

I'm happy with dropbox for now and want to set the default save folder to a dropbox folder but I cannot see how to do this.
Can it be done? Or do I need a 3 party text editor?

You cannot. Because this option both takes much longer and reduces the quality of files, it has to be chosen specifically.
In any case, when you save a PDF file from Word. this process does not involve Acrobat or Adobe software in any way.

How do I set the default Hero image in a Muse slideshow widget when using Free Form Thumbnails?

I am trying to find out how to set the default Hero image when using a Muse slideshow widget and in the Layout section I have the "Free Form Thumbnails"
box checked.
In other words, when the page loads I want to define which image displays as the first Hero image.
If I do not select the "Free Form Thumbnails" option, the top left Thumbnail image always displays first. This is fine.
But when I select the Free Form Thumbnails" checkbox I don't know how to define which image shows first as the Hero image.

Okay… I think I've worked out how to do it!
[1] First have the "Free Form Thumbnails" box UNCHECKED.
[2] Organize the Thumbnails and place the image that you want to be the first Hero image when the page loads in the top left corner of the Thumbnails group.
[3] When you "Preview Site In Browser" the Thumbnail image in the top left corner will always display as the first Hero image.
[4] If you want "Free Form Thumbnails" go ahead now and SELECT that checkbox.
[5] Whichever image was in the top left of the Thumbnail group before you checked "Free Form Thumbnails" will still show up as the first Hero image when the page loads, regardless of where that thumbnail image is located within the Thumbnail images group.

Hi,
The sequence of operation you are doing to set the home page for public users is correct. You are getting the login screen as the "custom page group" selected as "home page" has not been granted to public.
Also, while logging-out, it is normal behaviour to get the screen where it shows the list of partner applications from where user has been logged-out. When you click on "Return" button, you will get to the "home page" set above.

I have created a form to store the details of an employee, details include employee id, name and lan id. I am wondering if it's possible to set the default value for an e-mail address. The e-mail address would be in the format '[email protected]'. So If I press 'create', I am directed to a form.
In the forename field, if i type 'stewart'
In the surname field, if I type 'Young'
Then in the e-mail field, I should see '[email protected]'
Furthermore, if I change 'stewart' to 'stuart', while still in the form, the e-mail address field is automatically updated to '[email protected]'
Would anyone be able to help with this problem?

to do this you need kind of interactivity in your form.
You can achieve this either by:
1) using JavaScript onchange-events on forename and surname items, or
