Text translation to Portuguese

Dear All,
I am trying to translate few texts to Portuguese. When I try translating, I get error saying incorrect code page.
I changed my control panel - language settings to portuguese. Still the error remains.
My system code page is in 1100.
Please guide on the settings to do for enabling language settings to PT.

Function:SPELL_AMOUNT Convert numbers and figures in words
convert an amount into words
convert a number into words (CURRENCY=space)
set decimal point in an amount and return number of decimals for the currency
LANGUAGE = EN
Or u have to matain in SO10 or
SE38->Text Element->Goto->tranlation

SE63: Smartform Text translations Issue.

Hi,
I am working on ECC 5.0 for the first time and having a weird issue with Smartform text translations using SE63. After saving the text translations using SE63, When I change & activate the smartform tranlations are gone.
Can someone please throw some light on this issue?

Hi Rajesh,
Maintain the translations.Then go to smartforms transaction in that particular language's login. Type the name of smartform and from top menu,click
Smartforms-->Generate. If ur translations are correctly mentained,then it will get generated successfully.Then when u again activate ur smartform u will not lose ur translations.
But if u change any particular window and activate ur smartform then also u will lose translations for that particular window.In that case u hav to maintain once again,the translations.

ITS Text translation problem

Hi,
I am facing problem in ITS text translation in ECC6.0. When i loging in eglish language the text appears in the ITS but it doesnot work for other languages.
Kindly suggest how do we do the text translation for ITS. GOTO->translation is disabled in my case. how do we enable this option if GOTO->translation is the answer.

Mass OTR texts translation

Hi all.
I need to translate a lot of OTR texts. First I uploaded a file with the aliases, original OTR texts and all the translations to internal table. I tried to use batch input for transaction se63 (translations), but it doesn't work. Please suggest any other ways for mass OTR texts translation.

Trasaction for the OTR is SOTR_EDIT .
following steps:
1: Go to Transaction SOTR_EDIT
2: Put the Alias name and display
3: Go to Change menu (Edit>Context>Change)
4:Do not choose anything in the popup. Just Hit Enter.
5: You will be in change mode. Now select the language (e.g. DE)
6: Blank out the Length field. Enter the text in Text field.
The length will come automatically. (Or you can also specify the max value here).
7: Now Press Save button. The text has been saved.
8: Now select other language from dropdown
(E.g. EL Greek) and change the Text and blank out the Length field
(you can also specify Max length here as per your choice)
And press Save. In similar way,
you can just create the OTR for Multilanguageu2019s.
9: At last save and come out. Enter another Alias and repeat the procedure.

Query Translation in Portuguese

Hello All,
As per my understanding, when you login in different language(portuguese) and run the query, it should automatically translate entire content in Portuguese language right??
But when I do so, I am still getting all the text elements and headings in EN.
I tried using SE63 to translate the query, but it says texts not found.
What is the exact procedure to translate the queries in different language.

Text translation in sap-script

Hi
I am using sapscript for PO printing . I need to translate some texts in the PO depending upon the language . I have the translated text in all languages . How to go about it . putting condition on language would be a tedious job . Is there some better way to perform these translations .

Instead Create A TExt Element and euate the text element to the corresponding field which u r transferring to the S. Script.
Suppose ur displaying : &VA_DESCRIPTION& in the SAP Script...
Then Do like this:
VA_DESCRIPTION = TEXT-001.
Now using TRANSLATION TOOL LOAD THE TEXT-001 for all useful languages with the description u already have...

Morse Code to Text translation

Ok, here's my latest problem. I need to write a program that translates from one text file into another, the first being english and the second being in morse code., with a command something like:
$ java TranslatorProgram TEXTfile MORSEfileFirst things first, I have no idea how to read out of an existing text file, nor how to write into a new one. A little push in the right direction?
As for the rest of it I imagine an Iterator and a Text to Morse Map will be something I'll have to tinker with...

You might want to use a map with all the letters and punctuation with their corresponding code. Use this map for your encoding part of your program. Then use a TreeNode for your decoding segment. For the tree, place the letters in it by following the dots and dashes of each letter's code. For example, 'A' would be put in the tree by looking at each character in the code, so you would put it in by going left on the tree because of the '.' then right because of the'-'. Get my point yet? Though StringTokenizer is helpful, I wouldn't recomend you using it.

Menu Item Text translation

but the item "Transaltion" is not activated.
How can I translate the menu items text?

Standard text translation

Hi,
i have created Form in that i used Standard text
/: INCLUDE ZTEST1 OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN.
but this form will be Used in 4 languages as Germoney italy..
Now i need to translate the standard text accordingly please let me know how about doing this.

Dynamic Text translation in Smartforms

Hi experts,
I want to translate a smartform from EN(English) to DE(German).I achieved this through SE63 transaction.It is working fine,but I have three dynamic values passed to the smartform as (&One&,&two&,&three&). These three values are always displayed in EN(English).How to translate these dynamic values also in to DE(German).
Every thing is based on log on language.
I searched in SDN but didn't hit any result. Help me on this issue experts.

goto so10, give a name to text
give text id as 'ST'
object as 'TEXT'
and language as u want.
and create
now in ur smartform-> create a text node of type include text and provide the same details ie name, textid, object and language.

Text translation in run time.

Hello Guys,
I have an requirement its like:
when we send data from SAP to other system using outbound idoc for material.
I need to translate the material text at run time and populate in to some other 2 segments and send.
I will be knowing in which two languages to translate only at run time.
Please help me how to translate the text in run time.....is there any function module or.............

ABAP-Text Translation

If it is a report/ program, then follow these steps
GOTO-> text Element->Selection text(choose whichever u prefer)-> in that GOTO-> translate.
Give target language as you wish for, then hit enter. click in sequential processing and give the description which you wanted.
You can use tcode se63 for that aswell.. both will give same result.

You can translate selection texts of a program two ways

- [SE63|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/46/3892c1be5c1ea9e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] - menu : translation, short texts, ABAP, Program texts
Be aware that some texts use ddic definition of data element, so the texts of the underlying data-elements must also be translated (if they are not already)
- SE11 - menu : goto, translation
- SE63 - menu : translation, short texts, ABAP Dictionnary, Data element
