Text Triggers

It would be very helpful if text could trigger more thank links. If the text could be the trigger for opening a lightbox that would be very helpful.
Say I want the text of someone's name to trigger a picture of that person, or want to create notes within a page (think footnotes that don't sit at the bottom of the text), such a feature would allow for this.
I have tried to rig this by embedding the newsfeed composition into the text but it is not pretty and winds up being extremely unpredictable.

Or, is there a way to tweak the Accordion Panel id's in index.html so that when I click on, say, the first accordion label it actually opens the third accordion? I have tried to swap the id's that I found in intex.html but to no avail. Cheers!

So you want a scrollable frame that includes text that when swiped to a certain point it will trigger a specific image in an MSO? Using the current DPS tools you would need to tap the actual text which could have a button assigned to it that targets an MSO state, rather than what I think you want is the actual location of the scroll to automatically activate the matching image. I would look into creating this effect in Edge Animate then linking to it from inside your InDesign DPS layout. Very possible with .js and keyframes.

Line Item text to updated automatically with current month

In this trxn, we have to always set the Posting variant every month, in spro.(set up line item text).
spro->payroll india -> Reporting for Posting Payroll Results to Accounting->Activities in the AC System->Set Up Line Item Text.
1000 Salary for the month of June08
Whatever text, we give at ID 1000, it gets updated in the accounting entries. What we require, that can it be automated , based on the payroll area/period. I mean, if I give Novu201907, then the text should be u201CSal for the month of Novu201907u201D.

a text change in general ledger line item will not be forwarded to spec. ledger automatically (as the change of a line item text triggers no posting to spec. ledger).
But as you know the document relationship from GL doc. to SL doc go to the corresponding SL doc. and change the text if this is really needed (don't understand why the line item text is that important).

Line Item Text not updated in SPL

Can anyone help me in this regard.
When we change the Line Item Text in FI document the same has not been updated in SPL. Can anyone know the required configuration to be done in order to populate the changed items in SPL.

Triggering an alert

Hi experts,
                 I am working on alert management in SRM. I am able to see my alert categories and I can also subscribe them. But alert is not appearing in my alert inbox. I am trying with event- shopping cart changes. If someone makes any change to shopping cart. An alert should trigger.Full points will be rewarded for the useful answer.

     I am trying with standard category only..SRM_SHOPPING_CART- Max no of deliveries-application package-BBP_Exception, original language- German.,
Container-OBJECT_ID,EVENT,Messages,Message Text
Long and short text-Please check shopping cart &OBJECT_ID&.,
and assigned users.
But created my own category too for PO approval...in which I maintained
all settings are same except-

I have never used before forms 4 until i came into my new company, and i accept that as a challenge - migration to upper versions in the very first moment on 6 and after on 9 or 10g. You are right about pre and post text triggers and that's why i recode the most of the code within the application. You asked me how users access the executable files via shortcuts- here is the answer:
We have LAN and on the LAN exists file server (files are just copied there in some folders). So on every single user machine is installed only runtime and is made shortcut on the desktop for staring file , for example:
C:\orant\bin\ifrun60.exe \\fileserver\app\start.fmx
This solution i sow for the very first time in this company, i was working before with App Server and etc. That's why i asked about any experience with file system.

Format Painter in Pages?

I'll assume that others may have asked this question already, but is there a feature that's similar to MS Word's Format Painter that allows you to copy the text and paragraph formatting to other parts of your document simply by 'copying' it from text in one part of your document to text in another part of your document.
Word has had this feature since at least 2000 or '97.

In Numbers, triggering the "Copy Style" button,
selecting an other piece of text
triggering the "Paste Style" button does exactly what it's supposed to achieve.
It doesn't in Pages so, from my point of view, there is a bug.

Please don't blinking hate me!

Hello,
I've been asked to add one line of blinking text (I know - I know !) but can't seem to get the Dreamweaver option to BLINK the text to work.
Any ideas how to create blinking text easily for one of line of existing CSS styled text.

The thinking is that if the browser sets the blink rate then the manufacturer of the browser could be held responsible. But if the web site owner/developer does this effect via javascript then they are legally responsible should there be an incident.
A court case on this issue would make fascinating reading.
My reading online suggests that screen refresh rates (CRT monitors I assume) are a far bigger issue than the refresh rate of blinking text.
And, yes there is medical proof of this
No doubt you are correct.
However, everything I've seen online is anecdotal.
just as there is now always warnings of flash photography in tv news articles, or similar effects in video games. The legal notices and warnings are not required for such possibilities if there is no proof.
I would expect high profile warnings on every website if PSE and blinking text was a widespread, major issue in the community.
I'm not saying that it's not an issue at all. Just that I've never personally heard, or read, of blinking text triggering epilepsy.
Of course, the easiest way out is to avoid blinking text altogether

Can you change rollover text in the same slice for different triggers?

Hi, I haven't used Fireworks since version 3, which was about 6 years ago, when I dabbled in web development. My past has come back to haunt me, and I need to make a fairly simple website pretty quickly for my boss. I've got myself CS4, and now that I've figured out that you can't use buttons for disjoint rollovers, I'm starting to make progress...
What I want to achieve, is that there are 6 'buttons' on my page, which when you rollover them will display text in a box to the side. I would use separate boxes for each button, but there isn't enough space on the page, as there is quite a lot of text, so I would like to use a box in the same place to display any of the 6 texts, depending on which button is rolled over. Can this be done?
I probably haven't quite got my head round layers, and this may be very simple, but could someone please point me in the right direction, even if it is a link to the right bit on product help?
Because the button disjoint rollover doesn't work, I have created 6 slices for the triggers. I tried hotspots first, but couldn't use them as I also want a rollover live filter effect on the trigger.

Yes, you can trigger different slice contents on rollover from multiple other slices.
It's easier to show than describe, so here is a sample file that does what I think you're looking for:
(1) six buttons
(2) each button has unique text
(3) each button has a rollover state
(4) unique text is displayed in the same place for each button on rollover

How to get triggering sql text in a statement trigger

hi,
I need to get sql text that run on the table in statement trigger on that table. I will log sql statements that run on table for a few weeks. I search for it, there is a ORA_SQL_TEXT function but this function is working on event triggers not statement or for each row triggers.
is there any other way to achive that ?

SQL> Select Description, Trigger_Body from all_triggers;
I see only one trigger but there are more than 500 triggers.

Perhaps you want to query DBA_TRIGGERS instead of ALL_TRIGGERS.

you can use simple query to know the body of triger and also procedure as follow:
select name ,TEXT from all_source where type='PROCEDURE' // or 'TRIGER'
AND NAME='ROW_CNT' //NAME OF TRIGER OR PROCEDURE

Finding Text in triggers

Hi All,
I want to list the names os all the triggers stored in database whicg contain a particular word. I tried to use INSTR and Like '%search%' but as the trigger body column is a long type column I can not use these functions on this column. Can any body please help me how to do this.

The USER_SOURCE solution will only work in version 9. If you are on 8 something, and need to do this as more than a one-shot deal, you can create a procedure similar to this to find trigger with your text.

Triggering events after scanning text with a scan gun

Hi all:
Here is my problem. I have a simple jsp page with a text field. I have a wedge scan gun plugged into the back of a computer. When I scan some information, it appears in the text field, however, I want to perform a submit after the user has scanned the information. Is there any event that I may capture that will alert me that the user has finished scanning the field so it could submit automatically?

There is usually a setting in the wedge to have it send an Enter after each successful scan. I am not that familar with HTML, but there is a way to have the Enter key automatically press a button or something and submit the page. If you are going to fill in multiple fields with the wedge then you would be better served with an applet that comunicated with the servlet so you would have better control.
