Texting a Non-iOS device with Messenger

If I want to use messenger to send a text and the recipient does not have an Apple device - can it be done with Messenger?

The Apple App is called Messages on both iOS and Mac OS X devices.
The iOS version on iPhone can send SMS to non iOS devices.
At present (although rumoured to be coming) the Mac version cannot SMS to iPhone or non iOS devices.
However IF you have an AIM Login (AND some Apple issued IDs are valid AIM logins) and the person is using US phone on one of these carriers then the app will send SMS using the AIM service as sort of "translator" from IM (Instant Messages) to SMS
Basically you add a +1 (Country Code) to the Number and Add that to your AIM Buddy like it was Buddy.
Messenger tends to refer to MSN messenger or possibly Yahoo IM app that is called Yahoo Instant Messenger.

This question would appear to have nothing to do with Apple Remote Desktop, Apple's software for managing networked Macs, so this probably isn't the best place to ask this question. I'd suggest asking in the forum for your version of Mac OS X.
Please note that unless you own the complete rights to the music you used in the slide show - that is, you composed and performed it yourself, you didn't just buy the track on CD or from a download store - or you purchased the music from one of the "royalty free" services, then it would be a copyright violation and hence illegal to send that slideshow to others unless you remove the music track.

Emoji not appearring correctly on non-iOS devices

When I send an e-mail or sms with an Emoji, it just displays as a square at the receivers end.
Why doesn't Apple send Emoji as a picture insertion in an e-mail, for receivers on non-iOS devices?
Or do Emoji in fact display correctly on some non-iOS devices?
Does anyone have experience with this where it has worked with a non-iOS device?

That means the receivers device is using older technology and does not yet have a font for Unicode emoji, which have been the standard for several years now.
You can ask Apple to use some non-standard system like pictures via

An iPad is not a phone and does not have built in Texting capability. You can iMessage other iPad, iPhone users but iMessages will not reach non Apple devices. There are some apps in the App Store that provide some level of text messaging. Search the App Store.

Configure an iCloud mail alias on an non iOS device

I was given a non-iOS device, the one that compete with the iPhone, and in its default mail client I successfully set up my iCloud mail as IMAP, but I want use one of my aliases to send mail from, is it possible?

To clarify, I have an iPhone as a personal device, the other device is for work purposes, but would like to configure my iCloud mail to have options.

I'm pretty sure you are full of it unless it was for a specific carrier messaging option. you CANNOT use iMessage with android devices. only iPhones, iPod and iPad running iOS 5.1.

You should be able to use the same account. The top scores will get updated on the leader board.

Checking BCC from an iOS device with Exchange Mail

All,
My question is simply, I have an iOS device with Exchange mail configured. From my phone or desktop I send an email with Joe in the "To:" and Mary in the "BCC:".
When I check the Sent items on my phone, and I go to that email, I only see "Joe".
Is this just a limitation within iOS?

I'm testing on an iPhone 4S running v6.1.3 and I have my Office 365 account configured as Exchange email.

No.
For obvious security reasons, iOS devices cannot be controlled remotely. Desktop computers and mobile devices do not share all of the same functionality. Mobile devices are somewhat limited compared to a full computer.

You can't do that through the Messages app. It can only do iMessage, and iMessages can only be sent to iOS devices.
There are many SMS apps in the app store that may do what you want. Search the app store and try them out.

How do I sync non iTunes content to my iOS devices with Mavericks

For the last three days I have been pulling my hair out wondering why I can't sync Movies or TV Shows to my iPad using either the USB cable or WiFi in iTunes since installing Mavericks.
the only way I have succeed at all is to redownload items already purchased from iTunes directly to my iPad.
I spent this morning browsing the Apple Support Communities and seemimgly from many official Apple replies to people who have asked similar questions I am slowly finding/realising that the following might actually be true:

Music, TV Show and Movie content in my iTunes that I want to be synced to my iOS devices can now only be synced from iTunes in the Cloud ?
So what about all the content in my iTunes that wasn't purchsed from iTunes (My TV shows that I recorded on Elegato's Eye TV or Movies I converted from my DVDs to MP4 format or Music that I made myself in Logic) ?
How do I sync any of my that content to my iPad or iPhone from iTunes in Mavericks ?
Is that REALLY no longer posible or have I misunderstood or missed something rather obvious ?

Thank you! That worked for everything except iBooks not bought via iTunes. They appear in iTunes on my MacBook Pro, but not on my iPad, either in the Kindle or iBook apps. Any suggestions?

Unable to use iMessage on Mac with non-IOS contact with Yosemite and IOS 8.1

I have an iPhone, an iPad running IOS 8.1, and a Mac running Yosemite. I have set up all 3 to use iMessage, entering the codes as requested. The 2 IOS devices work fine and the Mac works fine on messages to contacts with iPhones but non-IOS contacts remain red and are not accepted and if I try to send a group message with a non-IOS contact I get "XXX cannot be added to the group chat - XXX is not registered with iMessage". I have tried deleting and replacing the contact and it still will not accept her. I understood that this would be fixed after updating to Yosemite and IOS 8.1 but the upgrades have not resolved the problem for me.
In my Mac iMessage preferences:
1-I am signed in with my Apple ID and the account is enabled.
2-In the "You can be reached for messages at" field, I have my iPhone number, preceded by a +1 and the area code and 3 email addresses (icloud, me, and gmail)
3-in the "Start new conversations from" field, I have my cell phone number - also with a +1 and area code.
4-I have checked all of my Apple ID and iCloud details and they are all correct.
All other Handoff features appear to be working correctly. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks very much -

Hi,
It will suggest and look like it will auto-complete until you type further.
As 204 is unlikely to be the full number the issue does not arise.
For instance if I start typing my name every option that I have listed with my name over three Contacts card (for my three computers) and some Accounts not linked to Address Cards are listed
Of course this lists also shows cross connections between the accounts making the list longer.
