Texting between 2 iphones

My wife has an iphone 4 and I just got the iphone 4s. I can text other people no problem but there are issues when I text my wife. If I create a text using Siri, she doesn't get it. When I type a text, she usually gets it, but not always.
I have no problems sending/receiving texts with anyone else. And I've received every text she has sent.
She has no problems sending/receiving texts from other people.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually, my whole family (spouse and kids) uses the same appleID on several iphones, ipod touches and ipad. We imessage each other all the time.
I'm trying to get advice about whether we should all be using the same id or if we should each have our own. We share itunes music and need to have a shared calendar, but we don't like that all the other things are shared under the same ID. Is there a way we use different IDs and still share the things we want to share?

Stop using the same Apple ID on the 3rd company iPhone for iMessage.
Go to Settings > iMessage and remove the Apple ID that is used on the two family phones from the company iPhone

If I send a text message from my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4 to someone it sometimes creates two different text feeds in my friend's phone. So it shows two different text "groups" in their iPhone. If they reply on one of them I don't get the messages. Any ideas?

Check to make sure you have the Recieve At going to the same email address on both devices. Settings > Messages > Receive At

My son has the new iphone 4s and i have the iphone 4. When he texts me, it says the text is from my phone number, not his. I have his number stored in contacts. It seems that his phone thinks it's mine. We can call each other but the texting is messed up. We are both on ios5.

Confused on a few things. I have the iPhone 4 with 3G. I don't use my phone all that much...use iMessage approx. 3x/week, and I listen to iHeart Radio at home on wifi. This is my issue: I got a notice that I was over my data usage and will be billed $15. My questions are...is iMessage free when you text between iPhones on AT&T? Does IHeart Radio use data? I feel that I might have my settings wrong because my sister says she uses iMessage all e time and NEVER goes over her data. How can I check my data usage so I don't go over again? It would be hard to imagine breaking your data plan with iMessage, unless you are passing some massive attachments.
On the other hand, iHeart radio is like Pandora, I think, and streams the music constantly while running. I wonder what happens if your wi-fi drops for a second while you are running that. Will your phone jump over to the cellular connection to keep the app running? If it does, that could easily explain the data overage.
You might want to play around with disabling cellular data when you know you will be parked under wifi for a while.That way, if wifi does blip on you, you don't start munching on your data plan.

I have three iPhones on one iTunes account. Evere since upgrading to ios5 the text between them is screwed up. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix?

All of the text between them are screwed up. They cannot text just one. The text goes to and comes from each. Very annoying. Please help

Is it actually texting that is the issue or iMessage?
If it's iMessage... then you need a unique iCloud ID for each device otherwise it will do exactly what you are experiencing.

Texting between Iphone and Blackberry

Hello,
This may sound like a silly question, but my wife has a blackberry and told me that whenever I send her a text with my iphone, it ends up in her "mailbox" so the text is treated like email (which is funny because her texts always show up quickly in my Iphone text application). She showed me the Blackberry messenger application that allows her to have instant text conversations with other Blackberry users. Are there any third party applications for both of our phones that would allow us to have simple/immediate text conversations? I am sure this is old news to everyone, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

On the BlackBerry, the 'Messages' icon is a catch-all inbox. It collects messages from any messaging account linked to the device (email, text messages, mms, PIN messages, etc.)
If she wants to separate her text messages into a different location, that's actually quite simple to do.
On the device, change this setting:
*Messages > Options > General Options > SMS and Email Inboxes = Separate*
This will create a new icon on the device specifically for text messages.

Hello all, I have a firtst gen iPad (running iOS5.1.1). I using my Apple ID to run iMessege on it. Recently, I bought iPhone 5 (2 month ago) running iOS 6.1.3. I sing up to iMessage using Apple ID but start new converstion from my phone number as caller ID. Somehow only 1 conversion syncs between my iPhone and my iPad. Recently it stop. So I start looking for answers. I want to sync my all converstions, I found that I can set phone number as Caller ID on an iPad but I can't found how. I will apreciate if anyone will put some light on how iMessage works.
I still want that my caller ID will be my phone number cause I don't want to make 2 separte thread on the one who get my message.
If I set my email as caller ID so when I'll send a text message from my phone it will make a seperate thread converstion from me on the device of the person I send the text to.

Texting to non iphones

Is anyone stiil having issuers texting to non iphones even after tha last update?

I have an iPhone 4S. I have talked to the Apple store and they told me that after the iOS upgrade, 2% of iPhone 4S were having texting issues to non iPhone. You could receive text but not send them they assured us that after the next revision this would fix this problem. I downloaded and installed the revision yesterday but I am still having the same problem. Texting between iPhones works just fine.

Hi my work Blackberry can text my personal iphone 4S, but this iphone cannot then text reply back to the BB (using SMS).
Both devices are on Verizon network and have independent phone #s. Voice calls are no problem either way, but text msg from the iphone to BB is the problem. This same iphone have no issues 2-way texting another iphone or a LG Cosmos 2 "flip phone" in the family. I've tried a) turning off the iphone's wifi; b) toggle iMessage on or off; c) resetting the network; and d) turning the iphone on/off but so far no success.

This is a BlackBerry 9930 on 7.1.0.1066. I've only recently tried texting between this BB and the iphone, so there were no prior succcesses sending from iphone to the BB.

This is spooky, we have unlimit text on iPhone AT&T and I recently turned on emoji keyboards and as soon as we got to Switzerland we are finding all of our texts to a London based Blackberry are garbled (gibberish), I think we both are on Swisscom once we arrived. Here is a sample: "VU$.x$?*:J0S?t.Pq$". Tried turning emoji off and turning iPhone on and off and still have gibberish. It seems to be a problem on all of our iPhone 4s and 4.
