Texting problem. Glitch with the new iOS 6.1 update

I just previously updated my iPhone 4S to the new iOS 6.1 and now when I open my texting app it is just blank. I can receive text messages but there is not way for me to send any. I have a verison network so I don't know. I have called the support line and went through so many steps to try and solve this problem but no one has a clue what's wrong. I'm pretty sure is a bug or glitch in the new update.

Start with something easy and see if it helps.
Quit the Photos app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I Loved the ios 7.3 update. My battery lasted for the whole day and I use my phone a lot. I did the ios 7.3 update yesterday and my battery life is horrible. With 2 hours into my day today I was down to 80% battery and I hardly used my phone at all. I love my iphone, but this update was a horrible mistake for Apple!

Thank God that I am not the only one who lost battery life in 7.0.3.
I haven't changed settings from 7.0.0 to now. So I am not going to change settings. With that said my brightness is always at about half or lower, depending on the ambient light. Bluetooth is always off. LTE has always been on since I bought the 5 last year. Wifi stays on, connected or not. So with all these settings as they are, there has been a huge difference in battery life from 7.0.2 to 7.0.3.
I could swear that I went from 100% to 83% charge while I slept for 7 hours. ***??? Really?
I'll test it out again tonight.
I am at work and I turned off LTE for s&g. And still saw 5% drop in 40 minutes with a 2 or 3 minute use.

That's because her phone is recognized in the Apple database as an iPhone. It should eventually convert to SMS but that's above my level of expertise here so hopefully someone else can come along and help you further. She could just turn on iMessage and solve the problem. Ha!

The problem is with the new operating system and sending photo via email when used in my iPad. From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow.

Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

We are users here. We cannot possibly know when a new update will be available.

With the new iOS 7 update, does anyone know what the setting "Bold Text" will do? If you click on this, it says it will restart your iPhone. Before I do this, I'm just wanting to be sure I know what's going to happen.

It just reboots the device and bolds the system fonts. No harm done. If you don't like it, undo the setting, it will reboot and back to as it was.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

I have the same problem. Some of my purchased songs are missing also.

Have you run it in a debugger? That will show you exactly what is happening and why.

Your phone is too old to run Siri natively, though there are those who succeeded illegaly by jailbreaking.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. This should improve the typing responsiveness
*Note:* Settings, preferences, network settings, etc will be reset. *NO data or media will be lost*
