how can I text to someone who has a standard phone.? is there an app for it.

Yes this is possible , you need to use the VoIP to PSTN capability of the unit.
You have two option , SPA3000 has two lines, Line 1 and PSTN Line.
Option 1 , set Line 1 Call forward all destination to gw0, this means that all calling the Line 1 user-id will be directed to FXO
Option 2 , register PSTN line with vonage account , this way when you someone call the PSTN line user-id , a second dial tone will be provided (FXO) which will allow you to dial another number.

Contact has iPad and regular phone; messages vs regular texts?

I have a few contacts that do not have an iPhone, but instead have iPads or iPod touch devices, as well as messages on OSX. They also have regular phones for regular text messaging. Is there a way for me to tell these apart without creating 2 contacts for each person (i-OS contact and regular phone contact)? If I have a single contact, I have no way of knowing if I'm sending a text to their phone or using Messages, which can accept photos, links, etc...

If the number is shown as international then nothing can be done by BT using also some organisations use UK based numbers from overseas call centres you could try BT's Choose to refuse feature that may help

Bullets (numbers) in bold type, text in regular...impossible?

I've searched high and low and could not find a solution to my problem:
How can I format a bullet (in my case, numbers) WITHOUT formatting the text next to it. I mean, bullet in bold and text in regular type.
Am I missing something or is this not possible in Keynote?
Any help is most welcome.

We do not use iCloud, but today after I updated my phone to IOS7 I keep getting her texts on my phone ans vice versa. I turned off imessage in message settings. Seems to have stopped now? Never did this before IOS7. Will I have more troubble when her phone updates to IOS7? Is icloud going to be forced on me then?

This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage on both phones. To separate your messages, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and do one of the following:
Either uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on both phones; or
If you want to continue to receive iMessages at this email address, on one of the two phones, tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using a different Apple ID.

I am unable to delete whole texts from left-swipe. i click delete and they dissappear. But then i can't send or recieve texts. i reboot phone and deleted message reappear. i've synced, backup, everything. Help!

I am doing this beacuse in my space on my phone my doucments and data are taking up 9GB of space, and i don't know why other than in my phone it says messages are taking up 8GB or so. I am running ios 7.0. I have synced my phone with itunes, backed up, reboots after deleting the texts, they never vanish, i have even restored from itunes and restored from a backup that didn't include the texts after i deleted them.

actually better to reset your phone and reinstall the latest firmware again after that restore your back up it should be ok

Use VZ Messages+ to get text from one phone on another??

Here is my situation. I have 2 phones, an IPhone 5c from work and a Casio Commando 4g. I only want to carry one of them and would prefer it to be the Commando. I am trying to use VZ Messages to get my work texts on the Commando. No matter how many times I clear the setting, uninstall, reinstall the app, etc whenever I start the app on my android phone, it just says "Starting Service" and then displays the texts from that account. When I install the app on my android tablet or even on the IPhone, it 1st asks what number I want to link the app to, I receive a text on that phone with the pin and everything works fine.. So in other words, I have been able to install the Messages app on my IPhone, link it to my android phone, and get the android phone texts on the IPhone with no problem. What I need to be able to do now is install the app on my android phone, link it to the IPhone and and receive texts sent to the IPhone num,ber on my Android phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi tgoggin - We certainly want technology to work to make life convenient! I can confirm at this time anytime you have VZMessages on an actual phone line with Android it will register to that lines number. I apologize as we are unable to adjust this setting.

Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure only the phone number is checked.

To use speech recognition, you must set the ID_CAP_SPEECH_RECOGNITION, ID_CAP_MICROPHONE,
and ID_CAP_NETWORKING capabilities in the app manifest. If you do not set these capabilities, your app might not work correctly. For more info, see App

i would not want to bet on nokia ever releasing a patch or update in the software to allow this function on this particular phone.
if you look at nokia phones over the years, they have added functionality like this across a wide range all at once, take for example timed profiles on symbian phones. these have only just been phased in.
i do not think it is a development cop out, more along the lines that nokia is a huge company and as such would have a huge effor in market research. if they didnt pick this out through their market researc, why spend the money adding it?
the comment on annoyance is entirely personal to me, as it is important to you - you may want to consider moving to a symbian (series 60) based handset as these give you a lot of expansion for this sort of need.

I just decided to switch from vonage to skype number and was wondering:
If i purchase the Dualphone 4088, will I be able to plug in a regular phone and use it for regular calls? I'd like to have 2 phones but i'm trying to decide if I just need one and then plug in a regular phone, or if I have to purchase 2 handsets.

Hello, i recently switched from 3gs to 4s. i gave the 3gs to a friend who uses it as primary phone. will my icloud stuff get pushed to his phone? (he uses as just a regular phone, but i signed onto his phone with my apple id once)???

will my photos, music, etc get pushed to his phone if his photostream, icloud is on etc?
how can i check which devices have access to my icloud???

before i gave the phone, i did 'restore to factory setting' and put his new sim card into the phone.
but then i logged into the phone with my apple ID (he is simply using the phone as a regular phone without 3g, so he only uses it on wi-fi) to download apps...
so he is using it as a 'new phone' with all his contacts etc on it, is there any way he could have still accessed my stuff while my icloud was activated?
i should say that it is not technically a 'friend' but i sold the phone to him, so i'm curious what information he had access to while i had my icloud activated...

We just switched from Sprint to Verizon. My daughter can send texts to android phones but can't receive them.

I would say your best bet is to go to an apple store and buy your iphone. Apple stores do not carry any other AT&T phones, and AT&T stores do not have many free phones. Once you buy your phone register online with AT&T and add a line there, they have tons of free phones online and ship second day air.
