  • Header Text Of The PR to PO creation: Header Copy Rule

    Hi Friends,
Is there any workaround to set  copy rule at header note of PR . As standard sap, there is no header text rule available; may be multiple PRs can be converted into single PO. But I still needed this functionality as there would be only PR has to be converted into single PO.
Which bapi / exit can be used for this functionality . I need to reflect the header text of the PR  into PO Header auto.
    Regards,

    hI,

  • Header Text copy to PO from vendor master

    Dear all,
I am trying to pull data storeed in vendor master to PO for header text so that we don't need to repeat to each PO for the vendor.
I tried to link this in "Texts for Purchase Orders" in SPRO ,But not able to link it
B'coz it's not allowing me to add the object of vendor master
so pl guide me how i link vendor master text to PO
    Regards,
    Vimlesh

    Hi,
In customizing ->material management -> purchasing -> purchase order -> texts for purchase orders -> define copying rules for header texts, choose "header text" and click on text linkages. Here you can enter for source object "vendor master", and for source text choose vendor master header text.
And in the FIX INDICATOR for text you have to maintain blank. then it will copy text
This will copy text from vendor master to PO header text.
Please check this and revert back if you need further details

  • PO Text copy from Sales Order to Purchase Order

    Dear friends,
    Hope everyone is doing fine.
I have the following business requirement for two situations
Scenario 1) Purchase Order text from the Sales order has to be copied to the purchase order. Here sales order is converted to purchase requisition, and later the requisition is converted to the purchase Order.
The standard SAP config is working absolutely fine for this.
Scenario 2) Purchase Order text from the Sales Order has to be copied ot the purchase order. Here sales order is converted into a planned order, planned order is converted into purchase requisition, and later the requisition is converted to the purchase Order. For this situation, the text is not getting copied from Sales order to the requisition/purchase order.
This is not working as of now with the configuration for the above scenario 1.
Please throw some light to solve the scenario 2.
Please let me know if there is a config or do we need to use any user exit or BADI to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    - a WM managed warehouse, society A;
    - a HU managed warehouse (without WM), society B;
    - a purchasing process of HU from society A towards society B.
Society B have a scheduling agreement; when a delivery schedule appears, in society A born a sales order and a delivery. After the registration of the delivery good issue, an idoc transfer information for inbound delivery creation.
This process is ok without WM, but with a WM managed warehouse the idoc has the following problem:
"V51VP - item was not found - process cancelled".
Can you help me to transfer these HU?

  • PR to Contract text copying

    Hi Friends,
While converting PR(Purchase Requisition) to contract, text is not being copied. Most of our PR are of not with Material, so that we maintain maually at item text while creating PR. We are using Item text. I checked in Customisation for Defining copying rules for Item texts for contracts as well as PR. In Item text linkages I tried with " " (Text automatically adopted in target object) and "*" (User can have text adopted in target object), but could not succeed.
It is working fine for PR to PO adpoption.
Did I missed any thing ? Is there any customisation for above thing. Is there any user exit or BADI for this ?

  • PR header text copied to PO header text

    hi
is there any setting for coping PR header text to PO header text
i checked in  define text types & copying rules to PR & PO
    am not finding this option
to copy PR header text to PO header text
is it possible in std SAP
    nani

    this is not possible.
You can  convert various different requisitions into one purchase order.
You can create per requisition one PO item.
You can even have one PO item that has a schedule line per PR.
Imagine that each PR has its own header text, from which purchase requisition shall then the the header text be taken?
From all and just adding. Or only from the first PR, or last PR.

  • "Item Texts" copying from third-party PR to PO?

I am creating a third party sales order (item category TAS). Here, I give some 'Material PO text' manually and save the TPO. (Select Item -> Menu Goto > Item > Texts).
The resulting PR has the same text copied.
Now, when I convert this PR into PO, the text is NOT getting copied.
Any idea how can this be done?

    Hi Neetu
you have to mainatin Item text and not for material PO text...
    Do these settings:
SPRO->MM->Purchasing->PO->Texts for POs--->Define copying rule for item texts..
then check you should have a entry for "Item Text" if not then
Put a Consec no. and against it enter item text. then for this you have to maintain text linkage where u should have source object as Purchase requisition.
please confirm if these settings are already there?

  • Copying Rules

I have two BM servers. I am using iManager to maintain those servers. Is there a way to copy just one rule from one servers configuration to another, so I don't have to retype all of the entries that are in the rule?
Also, is there a way to take a text file and either import that file into a rule or is there a way to copy and past mulitple websites from a text file, like there was in NWAdmin?
    Thanks,
    Ken

BM 3.9, correct? Are you at sp1? You can copy and paste rules from one
server to the other with both versions, but the sp1 patch (iManager plugin
updates) makes it a lot easier to copy rules and proxy configs.
I don't know that you can copy just a single rule though.
If you are careful, when you export the rules to a file, you can edit the
resulting xml file with a text editor and insert (or delete) a rule.

Again, manually modifying a saved xml file would probably be the thing to
    try.
For the easiest way, by far, of adding lists of web sites into a rule, you
want to use LinkWall, which is based on lists of web sites in text
    files...

  • Material Master: Copy rule for purchase variant prices

    Hello together,
in the material master (transaction MM42) on variant level the purchase prices can by copied from the generic article to the variant; for this a copy rule can be applied; one of the copy rules can be selected an be used.
Now, the customer would like to copy additional conditions, such as freight, to the variants.
Is it possible to implement an own copy rule? Is there any Badi or user-exit?
Thank you for your information in advance.
    Best regards,
    Kurt.

    Any answers ?

  • When defining copy rules, only one source field allowed

Our users have requested the facility to allow them to copy pricing condition records when in in VK12 transaction. But when configuring the copy rules, we have come across the following problem:
When configuring copying rules for copying pricing condition records,
there is no possibility to use more than one source/target fields.
In our example, the condition table created for a certain pricing
access sequence contains keys such as Sales Organization, Sold-to Party
    "and" Product Hierarchies level 1 to level 9 (e.g. PH1 - PH9) .
In the condition table definition, fields PH1 to PH9, although key
fields, are also defined as footer fields. This means that per sales
organization and sold-to party, we can create more than one condition
record based on different combinations of PH1 to PH9.
However when setting up copy rules for conditions in SPRO (SD -
Pricing Control - Copy Control for Conditions) to allow our users to copy the condition records, for a given Source /
Target table, the standard selection screen only allows us to define one Source / Target field.
In our case, this is not helpful. The configurator should be allowed
to select more than one source field (i.e. PH1 and PH2 and ..... PH9). At this moment,
we can only select as source field PH1 or PH2 or PH3., etc..
    Steps for the Reconstruction:
    - Run Spro.
    - Select SD --> Pricing --> Pricing control --> Copy control for conditions -- > Copying rule for conditions
    - Select 'New Entries'. Selection screen is displayed. The issue is that in this selection screen, the configurator is allowed to select only one source field. He should be allowed to select multiple fields.
Can you help us with this problem please?
    Your help is much appreciated!

    Hi Ralph,
I don't like that methode. Importing the same transport 15 times, each time changing the source-system mapping and making sure, that source-system gets the changes seems to be a huge source of errors, which will be hard to find.
What do you think of the following idea to solve the issue a totally different way:
All transfer-rules directly connected to the source-systems are stripped of all Coding, so there is a plain 1 by 1 transformation including 0logsys.
The InfoSources attached all lead to one ODS-Object, which has the only purpose to collect the data from the source-system without any transformation. So some fields a filled by a system and other fields maybe not.
The coding specific for source-systems is moved to transfer- / update-rules from that ODS-Object to the original ODS-Objects / Cubes and the "collecting" ODS-Object is emptied after every loading process.
This will result in a single point of change. It will be quite a huge program (maybe in startroutine) but it's the one and only point, where changes and corrections have to be made.
    Regards
    Robert

  • Text Formatting Rules for sibling elements

How would you edit the EDD Text format rules of an element repeated several times after one sibling optional element? For example, you have the following elements, it's children, and their formats:
    1. TASK (with Title)
       A. TOPIC (w/ Title)
          (1) SUBTASK (w/ Title)
          (2) SUBTASK (w/ Title)
          (3) SUBTASK (w/ Title)
Now, if the TOPIC Title elelment is not used, I need the Subtasks to appear as follows:
    1. TASK (with Title)
TOPIC (w/o Title) (TOPIC element still present)
            A. SUBTASK (w/ Title)
            B. SUBTASK (w/ Title)
            C. SUBTASK (w/ Title)
How would you write that in the EDD? Which element would I edit? The Subtask? Or, the Title?
I've tried several combinations in the Text format rules and subrules using different context specifications like {notfirst}, {after Title}, {first}, etc., but I can't seem to make it work. Anyone familiar with the ATA iSPEC 2200 will recognize the formatting.
    Wes

    Wes,
My take on this problem is that the numbering has to be consistent across the entire manual, so that you don't change the numbering format of a child if the parent has no title. There are several reasons for this including:
The Topic is still there so it should be numbered, even if it has no title
Building cross reference formats that work becomes impossible if the autonumbers change according to the use of titles. This is because at some point you will need to cross ref to autonumbers with underscore which has to be coded into the cross ref format.
There are five different structures that can be considered legal for formatting purposes according to iSpec 2200. But it is essential that the chosen structures are used throughout an AMM, CMM or any other document. It is very easy to mix the structures in ways that can cause confusion later in the publication process. To avoid this I have used additional advisory formatting (e.g. bright red text) that only gets applied if you put the wrong structures together.
The ATA numbering system needs all the help it can get to remain manageable...
To give the topic an autonumber use a First Paragraph rule in the EDD. That will apply the autonumber to the title if it's there or any other element if it is missing.
I hope some of this helps

  • JDev hangs when creating copy rule

    Hi,
I try to build a simple BPEL prototyp using beta3. Sometimes, when I create a copy rule, jdev just hangs and I have to kill it via task manager (win xp). I suppose this only happens with quite "long" variable names in the expression builder?
    Has anyone experienced these hangs?

    Hi,
I started trying Beta3 only. Didn't check in Eclipse by now.
My configuration is: win xp SP2 (up tp date), 1GB RAM, BPEL beta3.
I tried to create a copy rule for a variable named: ReadDBParams_ReadParamsServiceSelect_OutputVariable
This freezes jdev all the time. Then I renamed the variable to: ReadDBParams_OUT
    This seems to work.
The long variable name doesn't make that much sense, but it was generated by a witard like that, so it should work... :-)
