Texts for BRAN2-load into bi

Hi
i am loading keys for Bran2 using datasource 0customer sucessfully into BI
now i want to load texts for it in bw
what is the datasource for text for bran2???
my understanding is using master data process chains all they keys will load everyday for bran2
but i have to load texts using seperate infopackage for bran2
funny i can find datasource for loading texts for bran3,4,5
but not for bran1 and bran2

In case no Standard DataSources for loading Bran1 or Bran2 Texts exist, after identifying the fields on R/3 side that feed the InfoObjects on BW you need to create Generic Extractors from Domain.
For the necessary steps refer to the blog provided by Yogesh Patil "Extracting data from Domain (Text Master data)".

Design approach for XML load into DB table

The question is more related to find a design approach.
1. I have a few XML files to load data from. There will be more files which will be loaded into the DB periodically.
2. Each file populates 4 tables.
3. After loading all the data each file has to be moved into an archived folder.
4. We have a STAGE & PROD setup in the DB. The usual approach is to create 2 packages for EACH table.
One to load data into STAGE
2nd to move data from STAGE to PROD
Now, I'm not sure if I should create 4 tables * 2 = 8 packages or just 2 packages (1 for stage + 1 for prod).
Please suggest!! I know the experts here have already come across such a scenarios.
I wanted to know pros and cons of each approach. As I'm doing something like this for the first time, I can't imagine which will be the best solution.

I'd create one package.
I do not see why de-coupling the loading to staging from prod needs to be so.
When it works as one unit you can rollback the entire load as one as you may not want to end up with some data partially loaded.

SICF - HTTP 500 Error when testing SOAP RFC Service for XML load into BW

I am trying to load a XML file into BW w/o XI. So there is no source system as such. I followed the 'How to guide on loading XML to BW. I am on BW 3.5. I went to
transaction SICF>default_host/sap/bc/soap/rfc
I did a RMC and selected Test Service. A browser window open like it is trying to connect to the BW system, but I see the HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error.
What is causing this? All services are appearing as Active (grayed out). I am basically trying to put the XML file into the BW delta queue. The BW data source have been created and ther is a green entry in RSA7.

My question was more reagrding one of the steps that is not working i.e. testing for webservice. I am aware of the datasource etc.
Hence, still looking for help on what could be the causes of my error as described in the original message above.

You should install the script at a predefined location, for example $HOME/bin, or whatever you prefer.
For the 'load into crontab' you should refer to the crontab command at the unix reference, just type man crontab and you will get further details on the crontab command.

Overset text will not go into the text box that is part of the master for the next page

I am trying to (first time user) set up a simple trade-paperback sized book with some photos. Have set up several masters for chapter title pages, chapter inner pages, etc. When I copy text out of Word into InDesign, (copy/paste) the text overset box appears. I load it, then go to the next page, which I have already formatted using one of the masters. But when I select the desired text box ((Ctrl/shft) and click, the overset text forms a new text box, What am I doing wrong? thanks

I have done, this did work right for at least the left side of the spread, but never for the right side -
Make sure the left and right page master page text frames are threaded View>Extras>Show Text Threads. Here I have left and right page text boxes threaded on my A-master spread:
Checking Smart Text Reflow can make adding long text to master frames easier:
With Smart Text Reflow enabled I've released the master page text box on page 1, note the released frame has a solid border, while the unreleased master page frames on subsequent pages are dotted indicating they are still master page items and not page items.

I went to www.sdn.sap.com and chose Business Intelligence from the left menu.
In the BI Knowledge Center (Right side), I chose BI Accelerator, which is under Key Topics section.
Then I opened a document "SAP Business Intelligence Accelerator (PDF 154 KB)".
Go to the section "SAP BI Accelerator at Work", which is at page# 5. The third point says like this -
BI accelerator indexes are loaded into memory where the query is processed. In memory, joins and aggregations are done at run time. Loading of indexes into memory happens automatically at first query request, or it can be set for preloading whenever new data is loaded.
I had an understanding that it will be loaded into memory only when query was first executed. But this says it can be set for preloading as well wherever new data loaded.
My question is that where this setting can be done for preloading?
It says that preloading option is available whenever new data loaded so does that mean that it can only be set for rollup of BIA Index and for initial load, it will still load data into memory when the query is first executed.
I would appreciate if somebody has knowledge of this as it is new technology.
Others, who has a knowledge can also answer.

I found it.
It is an option on BIA Index Property button in the wizard. It appears only after the initial load is done. There is check box for to keep the BIA Index in main store. I thin it is only applicable to Roll-up.

Change the SWF loading text for a single presentation

Hi,
I have Adobe Presenter 7.0.5, in which with recently updating to 7.0.7 version.
When I tried the fix of this "Change the SWF loading text for a single presentation" workaround fix, I passed to have the error:ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property ADOBE_PRESENTER not found on Pool_P75.Resource.UIText
But before this error comes, I see that the loading text is changes from the original 2Adobe Presenter" to the one defined by me on the UIText, as the fix said.
And what's happen is that the scrren with the loading text is not being changed by the learning first slide....
Is there any workaround to correct that error?
Many thanks in advance for any feedback from the adobe support team or from any other colleagues that are using Adobe Presenter (;-)).

Or if you want to grab all the paths programatically, try the attached VI.
Open the top level that you want all the paths from and close all others, then open the
attached and run it. It will return an array of all the VIs that the VI
in question uses, including vi.lib VIs. You can filter these as well if
you like.

TS5192 After updating with 4.09 my photos which I store on an external hard drive will load into Aperture for 15 or so photos and then I just get the same photo repeating despite clicking on a different one in the group. I have to stop working and come b

After installing the 4.09 fix to process RAW from Sony RX100 (after updating to 3.5.1), photos do not continue to load into Aperture from the external hard drive where they are referenced. The same photo is stuck in the adjustments frame to be worked on and the photos will not advance, no matter what I try, so i can work on the next one. I can only work on a few at a time and then i have to go away and come back another day. 4.09 does fix the barrel distortion but it has completely gummed up the uploading of the referenced photos. It's taking me days and weeks to process a couple of hundred photos.

The Macbook Air is a low end Macintosh for graphics apps and you are asking it to perform a heavy pro workflow using a pro application. The integrated GPU of MBAs is a serious limiter to heavy graphics. Personally I would expect flaky performance with certain operations. In general I recommend that Aperture users choose boxes with independent GPUs and capable of taking 16 GB RAM if necessary.
It will be important to carefully optimize workflow. How much RAM is in the MBA? The most Apple specs is 8 GB but you can check OWC to see if you can go to 16 GB. My Aperture/Photoshop workflow paged out at 8 GB RAM before I upgraded to 16 GB RAM.
You should evaluate whether or not you have adequate RAM:
Look at the Page Outs number under System Memory on the Activity Monitor app before starting a typical Aperture/Photoshop work session and write the number down. Recheck the Page Outs count after working for a few hours and write the number down again. If the page outs change (manual calculation of ending page outs number minus starting page outs number) is not zero your workflow is RAM-starved.
Ignore the pie charts and other info in Activity Monitor because they can be misleading regarding RAM usage. For RAM analysis, manually count page outs before and after a work session.

The file format should be same as you want to upload. The sequence of File format should be same communication structure.
Like,
Initial columns with Characteristics (ex: plant,location,customer,product)
date column (check for data format) (ex: calander)
Last columsn with Key figures (history qty)

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
Start up in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Restart as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
If you still have problems, then from the Font Book menu bar, select
File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.

How do i get an iweb 1.1 site loaded into iweb 2.0.2 for editing?

Hi. I have a site up on .mac that was built using iweb 1. I also have the source files on my mac. I gather that iWeb 2 uses a domain file to store all this information now.
Can you help me get my old iweb 1 site files loaded into iweb 2 so that i can edit and republish? The site is actually still live on .mac.

...And iWeb 1 used a domain file also. If you have it, iWeb 2 will be able to open your site made with iWeb 1 so you can continue development. If you no longer have it you'll have to rebuild your site manually. See this thread:

Mainframe data loaded into Oracle tables - Test for low values using PL/SQL

Mainframe legacy data has been copied straight from the legacy tables into mirrored tables in Oracle. Some columns from the mainframe data had 'low values' in them. These columns were defined on the Oracle tables as varchar2 types. In looking at the data, some of these columns appear to have data that looks like little square boxes, not sure but maybe that is the way Oracle interprets the 'low values' in the original data into varchar. When I run a select to find all rows where this column is not null, it selects these columns. In the results of the select statement, the columns appear to be blank, however, in looking at the data in the column using SQL Developer, I can see the odd 'square boxes'. My guess is that the select statement is detecting that something exists in this column. Long story short, some how I am going to have to test this legacy data on the Oracle table using Pl/Sql to test for 'low values'. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could do this????? Help! The mainframe data we are loading into these tables is loaded with columns with low values.
I am using Oracle 11i.
