Texts for Smartforms

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me how the entries are maintained in the table STXFTXT. This table holds the Texts of the smart forms which are read using the Function Module SSFRT_READ_TEXT.

Hi,
Do u want to print Standard Text or the Texts that are maintained at the Transaction level.
If it is standard text , then u use text id as ST or if it is Texts that are maintained at the Transaction level then u have to go to that specific transaction and check for that text , then go to text editor ,in the goto menu u have header data where u get the Text id , text name.... , use them in ur smartform in the INCLUDE text.
Further u have the option of text modules in smartforms which act as standard texts, so if u r going for creation of standard texts then its better to use text modules.

Hi,
You can use read_text function module for readind text of material and store this value in internal table later pass this internal table to smartform will solve your problem.
otherwise there is direct option for text element property that is include text u can use that also

I'm createing a smart form in which i need to display certain texts for each line item of a sales order. How can i get those??
I'm trying with the table STXH and FM read_text... but i'm not clear how and what i'm getting... can anybody pls help me.....

But then i will be getting only the value. i want to link that against the particular material of the Purchase Order.
Like for ex:

Page break for Smartform with multiple main window on pages

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement for printing 3 pages. The difference among the 3 pages is the main window part.
The main window contains not only internal table, also complicated texts like payment instructions etc.
The requirement is in each page, the data in internal table should be changed, also payment instruction should be changed accordingly.
e.g:
Main Window of Page 1
Part 1 for Internal table
VAT on ITEM ------- 4O-------60,00------0.00%-------EUR
Part 2 for Payment Instructions
Texts for Page 1
Main Window of Page 2
Part 1 for Internal table
VAT on ITEM ------- 5O-------60,00------0.00%-------EUR
Part 2 for Payment Instructions
Texts for Page 2
Main Window of Page 3
Part 1 for Internal table
VAT on ITEM ------- 6O-------60,00------0.00%-------EUR
Part 2 for Payment Instructions
Texts for Page 3
At first, I was using only one page 'Page1' with a variable page_no = 1 as default value, and use program line page_no = page_no + 1 as counter. when page_no = 2, use command for force page break to 'Page1', then under the command, change the internal table and payment instruction texts. when page_no = 3, ...
But I encountered an error saying:
Runtime Errors GEN_BRANCHOFFSET_LIMIT_REACHED
Short text
Jump distance is too large and cannot be generated.
So I created 3 pages, with different main window M_window1, M_window2, M_window3 for each page. In page1, after printing the M_window1, page_no = 2, use command to go to page2, but page2 is never printed. I think this is because only one main window can exist in a smartform? but why smartform allows creating individual main window for different pages? what's the use of such main window?
By the way, what's the use of command for force page break? only work for one main window in a smartform?
Getting back to my requirement, I think I should still use one page and command for page break. I am trying to solve this.

Now I am using 3 pages: Page 1, Page 2, Page 3.
Page 2, Page 3 are copies of Page 1 with main window renamed as second window: mw 2, mw 3.
I also created 2 command nodes in main window of page 1: cmd 2, cmd 3.
cmd 2 is for page break to Page 2, cmd 3 is for page break to Page 3.
The second window mw 2, mw 3 in Page 2, Page 3 can be displayed.
Even though, I still can't understand how main window of pages (not 1st page) can work.

How to display long text in smartforms

Iam trying to display long text into smartforms.I got the long text into ITAB frm database
in the abap program.In the form interface how to define the variable?In the long text i have 6 lines.

Kaki,
Delcare a table and getting the LONG TEXT is not the right way of doing this.
You create a TEXT object and change the TYPE to INCLUDE TEXT. Once that is done all you have to do specify the parameters of your long text - TEXT ID, TEXT OBJECT and TEXT NAME. These are the same parameters that you use for READ_TEXT funciton. You don't have to fetch the text manually, it happens automatically.
Make sure this is a part of the main window as this might run into multiple pages.

Creating the Standard Text:
Go to SO10
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create.
And enter the Required Information and save.
To include a Standard text in SmartForm.
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.

How to create Standard text for terms and conditions of po print form

Hi anybody,
I want create Terms and condtions inside smartforms PO FORM , how do i create terms and conditons and how use font size? I don't want hard code inside smartforms , I will create seperate texts for terms and condition after i include inside smartform.

Hi Subramaniyan,
                         U an create an include text node in your smartform.And terms and conditions is the header level text,so i suppose you have to give the inputs as follows :
Text Name         &**-EBELN&
Text Object       EKKO
Text ID              xxxx
Language          &**-SPRAS&
is the data at your end .To simplify more follow the following.
1> go to your purchase order from me23n
2> open any purchase order and click on the terms and conditions text.
3> go to GOTO option of the text.and click on the HEADER.
4> U will find the attributes of the text which you will have to pass to the Include text in your smartforms.
The long texts arestored in STXH table.

I guess there cant be any problem with the Include text . The problem can be either the text is not maintained or may be the include is not getting executed.
See if you have any conditions in the condition tab.
Check it in the debug mode and let me know if includ text is getting executed but value is not getting populated,
Better you can do one thing
Take the generated functional module name let us suppose your FM nae is /1BCDWB/SF00000100 then add SAPL as below
/1BCDWB/SAPLSF00000100
Now go to SE38 and give this Program name and in the program find the code with the Text id .
Supose your Text id is 'ZTXT'.
find with this this ID and find which function module is used to get your text.
Put break point on the FM and now execute the form.
Check whether values text is getting populated .

Standard Text in Smartforms using SO10 Transaction

My requirement is i have IF Condition followed by Elseif. when ever any of above conditions satisfy i need to print a text of at least 5 lines.
If <>
Print Text upto 5 lines each line at least 100 char(text1)
elseif <>
Print Text upto 5 lines each line at least 100 char(text2).
else <>
text24.
If solution for the above is using SO10 Tcode then plz expain me in detail.

Help needed regarding 'Address Text' in Smartforms

hi guys,
To display the address text in Smartforms, we include an 'Address' component and provide the respective address number to it. I just want to know which is the table where the complete address text corresponding to the address number is saved. I have checked the 'ADRC' & 'ADRCT' tables but in vain. Help me out.

In smartform u have to pass the address no and it's give the full address by FM ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM .plz check this fm and for address check the master table like vendor the table is LFA1 to get the address for it

Copy and paste of texts into Smartforms

Hi,
I have a design document that contains label texts for a Russian form. The characters look fine in the document, but when they copied and pasted into Smartforms, the characters turn into question marks.
Any help is rewarded and appreciated.

That may be due to Unicode problem
Make the Texts conversion using SE63 and copy and see
See that the Russian language should be activated in the system to accept that language.
