Texts from PM-notification (IW21)

Dear all,
Hopefully you can help... Is it possible to prevent texts being copied from a PM-notification (created via IW31 in 4.6C) into a PM-order (created via the menu in IW31) for a certain PM-notification or PM-order type?

If you are refering to the Long text copying then follow the below path and deselect the Long text indicator
IMG>PM/CS>Maintenance and service processing>Maintenance and service order>Functions and settings for order type>Define Notification and Order Integration
OR if you are refering the short text i think it is not possible ,since you are refering the notification for creating the order then system will copy the short text

Hi!
My task is to copy the header long text from the notification into the PM order (made from/attached to the notification). I've checked the customizing, but there is only an option to copy standard texts into the order.
So I would like to put the text into a memory ID, during notification saving, and put the text into the PM order. And of course without modifying the standard...
How can I insert text into an order, which does not have its document number yet? I think I can not use the SAVE_TEXT...

Try to find userexit after SAVE. so you have document number, then you can use
SAVE_TEXT.

Activity Long Text from Service Notification

Hi,
We are designing a report to fetch some fields from the service notification. I am not able to get 2 fileds which are 'Notification Long Text' and 'Activity Long Text'. Can anyone help us to find out how we can bring these fields into the report?
(I can get activity text from table QMMA, but from where can I get activity long text?)
Please let us know the table names or any fucntional module to fetch these field values?

Activity Long Text from the Notification

The same question i think
Language->EN, Text ID:- LTXT ,Text Object : QMMA , Name :- I think starting with 001Notification Number0001
But the simple way to identify all these are , open IW22 -> Open that Activity Longtext and goto menu ->Header -u will find Text Header details ..

Propagate long text from order to notification, notification to order

Hi Experts!
Like in subject I want to propagate long text from PM order to PM notification and the other way round. If text will be changed in one document it should be changed in second too.
Have you any idea how to do that?

If these are two different fields having different data elements then I dont think its possible until and unless they both have the same data element...
if they have the same data element I think you can keep the long text for the data element and it will reflect both the sides...

Group texts from same contact in Notification Center?

Is there a way to group together texts from the same contact in the Notification Center? For example, if I get 3 texts from the same person, they will all appear as 1 notification under Messages on my home screen from that 1 contact instead of 3 different notifications from the same person. Is this possible? If not, is there a similar solution? I can't seem to figure it out...thanks.

I would like to remove name ( LIUNI, ANTONIO_ ) (bold text and underline) from message and field "From" in notification page.
I have 2 problems below:

Should change to "A multirater has completed their appraisal of KERINS, ANNE MARY"
2.) Field From, must be blank: From: LIUNI, ANTONIO_ -> From: <Blank>
It call standard workflow HRSSA.

Why can't I set my downloaded .dm ringtones as text and email notifications?

I have an HTC Incredible 2; I paid for and downloaded several ringtones from the Verizon store, two of which I wanted to specifically use as the text and email notification sounds. I then had the already discussed problem of not being able to find the newly downloaded ringtones immediately, but from the postings on here and the Adriod forums, I followed the directions to set up the folders titled Ringtones, Notifications, and Alarms on my sdcard, and moved the downloaded ringtones into their respective folders. When I opened up the Personalize menu, under Sounds I was immediately able to find the ringtones I'd placed in the ringtone folder, but my phone wouldn't recognize the ringtons I'd placed in the Notifications folder.
I downloaded the app Zedge, downloaded specific Notification sounds (.mp3, and they work). I also downloaded .mp3 ringtones and then moved them into the Notifications folders, and THAT worked. The problem seems to be that these are .dm files? Is my phone unable to read .dm files as Notification sounds? Or is there something I missed? Something else I can do?
I looked all over for software that will convert .dm files to .mp3, found a suggestion calling for the deletion of a couple of the lines of code from within the .dm file using Notebook ++, but that didn't work. I don't remember seeing anywhere in the store that these ringtone files come in the protected .dm filetype; that many players will not be able to play them, and that I won't be able to use them for notification sounds?
Ay one have any suggestions? Verizon: am I doing something wrong?

Usually when you purchase ringtones from the Verizon store, you can only use them as ringtones. Since you have a smartphone, an app would be the best bet. You can find almost any song you're looking for in a free ringtone app, there's no need to purchase them.

Copy Control from Shipping Notification to Billing

Hello,
I am working on an requirement where, i need to copy header text of Shipping Notification to Billing document Item text. User will be creating Invoice F2 with reference to delivery LF...then i will be taking shiping notification linked to Delivery LF using some logic. Concept is; in billing doc they want to show the customers if the material has been bought from another vendor?
I have done the coding in Copy Contol of Delivery LF to Billing F2, in step 003. When this routine is triggered Billing document number is not generated hence i am confused here like how to tell system to copy shipping notification text to Billing item text.

in VOFA, for the billign document, please click teh Delivery text field at the bottom and then try. I hope otherwise all text cofnigurations are fine

Setting a label with the text from cmd

I know that label.setText("sdf"); usually prints out what ever we set in the label. But what i need help in is actually to get the text from the command prompt and print it unto the label. I'm doing a school project that requires users to click a GUI component menu "start server". This actually calls a batch file that connects the pc and a mobile phone with bluetooth. So, actually when the server(pc) is connecting, it prints out text like : "connecting..." . I want to disable the command prompt and actually print all those text unto a label on the GUI. Please help me somebody.

Show long text for Quality Notification when double click field in alv

I have an ALV grid called using a FM and I am using the user command routine to do somthing when a particular cell is clicked. I want to call up the root cause text from the action box of the QN via QM03 . I am building a BDC table to call with a CALL transaction but when I write my BDC up to that point, the program is running the BDC but not going to the point where the long text is displayed is i am in mode 'N'.

Hello,
also try to use the messages clause (of type BDCMSGCOLL).
This will return the system messages.
call transaction 'XXXX' using BDCTAB
                                        mode 'P'
                                        messages into MSG_TAB.
Try to change the mode from 'N' to 'P' and try to place a breakpoint and check what happens.
Alternatively, you can read the Quality Notification text using FM READ_TEXT, and then show this data to the user in pop-up, rather than calling the tx.

Long text indicator against Notification task & SubOrder creation

Hi all,
We are using BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_ADD to create long texts against the notification tasks. Though the long texts are created and can be viewed through IW22, the long text indicator in QMSM table is not set and hence when I display the notification through IW23 and navigate to the tasks, the long text available icon is not displayed. I tried to use CREATE_TEXT and SAVE_TEXT as well. Somehow the long text indicator doesn't get set. Do I need to explicitly set this indicator after the BAPI call? Please provide your valuable inputs.
Also, I have one more issue. Is there a way of creating Sub Order against the PM order through a BAPI? We have a requirement to create a Sub Order against the superior PM order through transaction IW36. Could you please suggest if any of you have come across any BAPI that supports this requirement?

Cause:
As the create_text or save_text does creation of text at data base level and does not pass through all the screens of the particular transaction, so the text editor icon is not enabled [like in tcode IW23 (IW33) Notification display text editor, tables holding damage text and cause text indicator qmfe-indtx & qmur-indtx I ]
Solution:
Read existing text using FM READ_TEXT i.e. retain existing text in internal table, say IT_READ
Delete existing text using FM 'DELETE_TEXT'. Remember to set save_direct = x
Perform BDC to add dummy text doing call transaction. This will set text indicator to ‘X’.
Append your new ext to IT_READ.
Now create text again using FM 'CREATE_TEXT'. Remember to set save_direct = x
If you have requirement that created text should not be editable then you need to change format of IT_READ.
Like IT_READ-tdformat = ‘>X’ & IT_READ-tdline = ‘*<one space><your text>’ [may use CONCATENATE '*' IT_READ-tdline INTO IT_READ-tdline SEPARATED BY space.].

My 4s will not notify me of a text from one specific contact?

All of sudden last night I stopped getting audio notifications of texts from one of my contacts, the most important one! The alert comes on the screen, but I have a ringtone assigned to this contact that is a song so I know who it is if my phone is not right in my hand. Worked great until last night. I have checked all settings, Airplane Mode, Do Not Disturb, his contact settings, etc. and I can't seem to figure out what the issue is? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

May be a stupid question - but is the song/tune still available on your phone ?
